Lovely hotel in a central position yet quiet.
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room which was tastefully decorated. Bath robes and toiletries were provided. Free parking too. Great breakfast.

Good location and nice decor - but ask for a room well away from the extractor fans

The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable

Cons:

There was loud noise from the kitchen extractor fan, which although it was turned off before we went to bed, came on again at 7.15am and woke us up and not able to get back to sleep.

A lovely relaxing break.
Pros:

The staff were tremendous from the welcome to the goodbye. Staff offered to carry our cases to and from the rooms. There was a good varied menu for breakfast and it arrived hot by good attentive staff. The evening meals were good too and the staff very attentive .The rooms had been reburbished and were very pleasant with goodsized bathrooms. However the step to the bathroom in room 201 needed to have a strip on it or overhead light for the evening to avoid keeping the bathroom light on during the night to avoid accidents . It was a lovely old hotel with original floor tiles and wooden floors kept. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully designed hotel with good food
Pros:

Beautiful spacious room with big bathroom, separate toilet and free standing bathtub as well as walk in shower. Beautifully designed, very comfortable bed and pillows, great water pressure, excellent amenities. Restaurant below had good food and staff was very kind.

Cons:

Pretty excellent experience overall. As they just recently renovated the whole hotel, it still smells strongly of paint both in the rooms and corridors but that’ll go with time. The lighting in the restaurant is quite terrible- it’s so nice otherwise, with some warm and dimmer lighting, the atmosphere would be a bit more comfy. Breakfast was decent, but the buffet could be improved by better pastry and fresh juice.
