Zu teuer für die Nebensaison
Pros:

Uns hat das sehr bemühte Personal/Service gut gefallen und der Pool von Thaproban Waves.

Cons:

In Unawatuna ist aktuell Nebensaison. Das Hotel wird auf die Hauptsaison vorbereitet. Dies ist mit Baulärm verbunden, von dem wurden wir im Vorfeld aber nicht informiert. Wir mussten nach 5 Minuten im Hotelzimmer nach einem neuen Hotelzimmer Fragen, weil wir es nicht ausgehalten haben. Wir durften uns 2 neue Zimmer anschauen und dann entscheiden. Wir hätten uns gerne gewünscht, das uns das Hotel bezüglich der Unannehmlichkeiten preislich etwas entgegenkommt, da wir gerne in dem ersten Hotelzimmer geblieben wären.Das hat es aber nicht. Es war unser teuerstes Hotel auf Sri Lanka und sollte unser schöner Abschluss von unserer SriLanka Rundreise werden. Stattdessen hat das Hotel ein Feuchtigkeitsproblem, die Klimanalagen tropfen, die Dusche überflutet beim Duschen und wir mussten Handtücher auf den Boden legen, das Frühstück ist an die Nebensaison angepasst: kein Buffet. Man riecht die Feuchtigkeit in der Bettwäsche. Es ist klamm. Alles in allem war es leider viel zu teuer und für mich als Studentin sehr viel Geld für 2 Übernachtungen (190€). Hätten wir das Hotel am Selben Tag des Check In bei Booking gebucht wäre es günstiger gewesen, leider haben wir es schon Wochen im vorraus gebucht. Die Differnez hättem wir uns z.B. gewünscht. Ich muss ehrlich sagen, das ich ein wenig verärgert bin.

Pros:

Absolutely loved our stay! The room was spacious and beautiful, with a majestic pool and sea view. The food court was just a short walk away and the whole setting was very scenic. The team was incredibly kind and accommodating - they even arranged an early check-in and provided us with a complimentary birthday cake. ❤️

Cons:

Overall, things were good, but a few things could have been better. The bathroom mirror light was fused, making it quite dark, and the locker was a bit malfunctioning. We did mention these issues, but unfortunately they weren’t addressed, possibly due to the rush.

Overall experience was good because of staff, but the hotel is a bit tired looking
Pros:

Staff we very friendly, food was very good, room was very spacious and swimming pool was nice

Cons:

The hotel looks a bit tired - The outside building, the hotel room, around the swimming pool area.
It looks like it hasn't really been maintained since whenever it was opened. which is a real shame
It's a shame and could easily be rectified if management

Wonderful comfortable and relaxing!
Pros:

The staff were warm respectful and very responsive and helpful. The customer service was excellent! The accomodation and location was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The swimming pools were amazing!

Cons:

Some in room functions needed upgrading and didn’t work well like the safe, fan and towel holders and phone.

I had an amazing stay at Thaproban Pavilion Resort and Spa. The rooms were very comfortable and well-maintained, and the pools were absolutely lovely—perfect for relaxing. The overall atmosphere made it feel like a peaceful and luxurious getaway.

Cons:

Honestly, there wasn’t much to dislike during my short stay. Everything met my expectations and made for a very enjoyable experience.

Немного отремонтировать фасады здани было бы не плохо
Pros:

От отеля остались только приятные впечатления!!! Номер большой, чистый есть 2 соленых бассейна. До океана (пляжа) идти минут 7-10 ненапряжно. В отеле есть классный массаж. Больше всего впечатлили завтраки - такого разнообразия и кол-ва мяса не было ни в одном месте на Шри-Ланке!!!
Восторг!!

Внешний вид отеля требует уже ремонта в некоторых местах

Nice enough staff, but the food, gym and kids play room need immediately 'health and safety' work.

The location is nice. Close enough but far enough.

Cons:

Health hazards exist. We all got gastro from reheated buffet food. The gym and kids play room is mouldy and needs fixing urgently.

Avoid at all costs. Mold, cockroaches, terrible WiFi, food is poor, beers are warm.

The mold, the cockraoches, the terrible WiFi, the warm beverages, average food.

The took upfront payment. Wouldnt refund. We left anyway, this is a health risk of a hotel, never mind just a terrible experience.
