Sleep Inn & Suites Jasper I-22

Overall the experience we had was good, this was our second year staying with them for a local book festival we attend. We had 2 main issues this trip, check in is a 3 and we got to the hotel after 430 and neither of our rooms were ready, the employee working the front desk was very apologetic and was incredibly sweet. Our second issue occurs with the pool and how hot the water was in it and that they were missing a pool suction intake cover and a member of my party got pulled into it and reported it to the employee working the desk after it happened on the first night of our stay and all that was done was "We're sorry that happened to you." The intake cover was not put back on, the pool water never got cooler. Overall we enjoy staying at this hotel, we just hope next year issues like this won't arise.

The room was nice and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good but not exceptional. The only real drawback is the traffic noise; it is next to a truck stop so there was some overnight noise. They did give me a room opposite the main noise area. I could stay there again if I'm in the area.

This hotel is very clean with the friendliest staff. Beds are comfortable and front desk people are very accommodating.

This Sleep Inn & Suites was a pleasant surprise. We were driving thru Alabama on our way to our final destination. I did make reservations ahead. This hotel is SPOTLESS, and the staff is very warm and friendly. The room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was hot and tasty with typical items to choose from. This area was spotless, as well. We have stayed in more expensive hotels that were not as clean, comfortable and well maintain as this Sleep Inn & Susites in Jasper, AL.

Convenient, nice check in person

Very convenient to I-22. Located out of town, but can drive to anywhere in Jasper within 5 to 10 minutes.

Very upset that we were not told ahead of time that the pool was not available. That is one of the main reasons we picked this place.
I truly feel like we should have been told as we had very disappointed children.

What should be expected.

After driving 6 hours to get to the hotel I was refused the room because apparently they couldn't take my Visa because it was from an online bank. However the next day they had no trouble charging me $175 for the first night on the exact same Visa that they couldn't take! And to make it even better I can't get my money back now. I don't know if this is the fault of the hotel or orbits, but they're trying to say it's because I didn't cancel my reservation. I didn't cancel my reservation because I showed up and was refused the room.
