The tariff was very high compared to the facilities.
Pros:

The staff was very courteous and helpful.
The room was spacious,airy ans well lit.
Breakfast had no variety and not commensurate with the price of the room.
Only white bread was being served, no cereal was on offer.
Coffee was very ordinary.

Cons:

It should be indicated that the hotel has no lift and one has to climb and down the steps.

Excellent location but could be a little more helpful.
Pros:

The location is excellent. The room was OK. I liked the quirkiness.

Cons:

Did not like having to pay 2 weeks in advance policy. Receptionist was a little rude about it. Courtyard area was a little shabby.

Pros:

Breakfast was limited. Location is excellent. The room (Standard Double Room) is small but totally functional. Would have been nice to have had hanging space in the cupboard. The staff is very polite and ready to assist.

Beautiful building and rooms - great location . I think you could have breakfast but we didn’t- don’t think drinks were available at all but v close to restaurant/ cafes.

Pros:

Chambre agréable, literie parfaite.

Cons:

Salle de bains propreté moyenne, revêtement du sol peu agréable. Chambre donnant sur la rue. Bruyant même la nuit. Piscine eau trouble. L’hôtel aurait besoin d’un coup de peinture. Bien trop cher par rapport aux prestations. Chambre au deuxième étage avec escalier d’accès très escarpé.

New Year in Fort Kochin
Pros:

The historic atmosphere of the hotel - it has been beautifully restored. A great location within walking distance to everything in Fort Kochin. Clean and comfortable room.

Cons:

The breakfast could have been more imaginative and varied.
The value for money compared to other hotels in the area - it was a little expensive.

Overpriced underwhelming hotel with a grea location
Pros:

Excellent location on the best street in the area. Very pretty room.

Cons:

The bed was rock hard and the walls were paper thin. Felt like the man staying in the next room was in my room.

Tranquil old hotel in excellent location
Pros:

A tranquil and beautifully restored building in Fort Kochi’s best street. Very central location for all amenities. Bed superbly comfortable and room spotlessly clean with soft sheets and towels. Plunge pool & quiet courtyard welcome after sightseeing. Staff very helpful & friendly.

Cons:

Include information about breakfast in the information folder in bedrooms explaining choices, times & location. Because it’s sensitively restored, sound insulation between rooms & floors is poor.

good place to begin a trip and adjust to Kochi but expect European prices in Fort Kochi not 'Indian'

Hot water and bathroom facilities were good
The room was lovely but noisy from the street tut-tuts and motorbikes
Other guests' air conditioning is on all night and is very noisy

Absolut eine Reise wert!
Pros:

Der Stil des Hauses ist sehr ansprechend. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Auch die Lage in Fort Cochin war sehr zentral und ideal um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Could be great with some TLC but……
Pros:

Aesthetically very pleasing. An old, characterful property with a history. Antique furniture and a very attractive courtyard with an adequate pool. The staff were lovely. Excellent location.

Cons:

For nearly £100 per night one would not expect the soundproofing to be nonexistent. We could hear every word of conversation from the next room and when they used the toilet. The bathroom was tired and the electrics were archaic. The overall impression was that the management are resting on their laurels. It could be a magnificent stay but needs extensive updating without necessarily detracting from the historical features,
