The location, the views of Windermere. How all the staff made me & my sister very welcome.
Plus the amazing Afternoon Tea we had which was a belated birthday present for my sister.

The location and views are stunning but what really makes this place stand out is the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay. Would definitely recommend.
All of the staff were absolutely splendid. Polite, friendly, proactive, and hard working.
My room was lovely and it was great to have the nespresso machine. The views from the hotel are stunning and the drawing room is bright and great for chilling in. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I stayed for four nights and would not hesitate to come back. Thank you to everyone at Merewood.

This beautiful old building is set in a fabulous location. The lounges were incredibly comfortable and perfect for sipping a glass of wine while gazing over the lake. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the breakfast menu was excellent. For dinner, we opted for the grill menu, which offered a limited but reasonably priced selection. The food was delicious. The hotel is very dog-friendly and provides a doggy welcome pack upon arrival. Taking your dog for a walk around the hotel is a treat, especially round by the stunning bluebell woodland that backs the property. I’ll definitely be returning in the future.
The water pressure on the shower in room 12 was very disappointing

Quite rude waiter. Shower was not very good at all. Condensed window so couldnt really see the fantastic view very well.
We had our evening meal at the grill, which was delicious.
Breakfast was also very good.
The location is beautiful.
It was our anniversary, and we sat in the the evening sun drinking champagne before dinner.

The upper car park was difficult for my wife to access but that was sorted by parking adjacent to the entrance.
