A nice hotel on sea front. Our daughters booked this for our Golden Wedding. We were put up in the roof (3rd floor) and due to the heat the room was like a sauna!
The location and service were on point!
The building is beautiful however the only downside I would say there was no aircon in our room. We had a smallish window which was constantly left op en and a small desk fan. It was quite uncomfortable trying to sleep in high temperature. This is my only small gripe I have.
Excellent service throughout from planning to fulfilment through the agency of events manager Wade Berry, ably and impeccably supported by all staff involved. Quality of food and drinks and overall service to a very high standard enjoyed and appreciated by all. Nothing was too much trouble - even to the extent of searching for a missing walking stick!
Location was ideal; use of the facilities next door was a bonus. Breakfast was full of excellent choices and the additional bar/dining options were great!
Air conditioning in the room would have been a great addition.

My partner and I had afternoon tea on the terrace over looking the sea.
This was a wonderful experience on every level.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and polite.
The location is idyllic.
The afternoon tea was in my opinion, better than most of those served by top London Hotels.
If you are in Sidmouth, this is something you must try.

We have stayed at th belmount hotel numerous times and in my opinion the best hotel in sidmouth the service and food are excellent we had a deluxe room with a sea view witch was lovely I would recommend this hotel to anyone

Evening meal.
Excellent food. Beautiful views from sea facing rooms and terrace. Air conditioning in restaurants and the Residents lounge which were much needed in the heatwave. Facilities which we could use at the Victoria hotel are very good. The outdoor pool area at the rear of the hotel lovely and relaxing.
