First thought was expensive, but when you see what you get you realise it’s very good value. Excellent

Lots of simple, classy, touches that you don’t always get at hotels (even really good ones!) these days. Does everything I really quality and friendly hotel should do .

I would have two minor gripes with this quite magnificent hotel. The coffee was, in general, too weak and was never quite hot enough. This applied to breakfast and also the after dinner coffee. And secondly the breakfast plates were never cleared away quickly enough. These are very small tables that do not allow much room for side plates and cups and saucers. Everything else was exceptional.

Hotel staff were great in all areas. Felt very homely and was beautifully clean. Room was immaculate and had some nice touches eg flowers and chocolates. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing with some good choices. We stayed only one night but it certainly wasn’t enough!!

This was just the most amazing place to stay! Friendly attentive staff, scrupulously clean and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. At last, somewhere that still cooks breakfast to order and serves it on hot plates! Thank you! Exceptional value for money. Please don’t change a thing, we shall return.

A lovely hotel with excellent service rooms and food .Sidmouth is a lovely small Devon coastal town.

If you understand and value outstanding service that has too often disappeared these days, then the Belmont will be a very pleasant surprise. It has the best of past standards but delivered fully up to date with modern requirements. It is a warm friend to return to every year or more often…it is not a low priced choice but is worth the difference…just try it and you will not be disappointed.

As always a simply wonderful stay in this beautiful Hotel. Industry leading Food, Staff and Service, where nothing is ever to much trouble.

Food was a high standard, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and warm .Plenty of parking. We had an excellent nights sleep. Majority of people staying were pensioners and the hotel focus is on table service and helping with luggage etc which the hotel does very well. Will definitely return.

A high standard friendly luxury hotel with delicious dining friendly efficient staff and great location

From the moment of arrival, we felt looked after! Flowers and fruit in the room, delightful atmosphere throughout the hotel, and charming attentive (sometimes over-attentive!) staff. Dining was excellent, though the portions were very large for older tums! We shall return.

Clean, quiet, lovely staff

The exclusive weekend was excellent with like-minded car enthusiasts gathered together for meeting with friends. The hotel was in great shape and staff were wonderful and met all our needs. Food was excellent, as always, and staff very attentive. Fully recommend this venue.

From speaking to the receptionist on arrival to leaving nothing was too much trouble staff food location, right on seafront, was excellent a very relaxing two night stay

The hotel looked after our group very well. This was our fourth visit and we have rebooked for next year.
