The breakfast was amazing every morning. The bed was the most comfortable of any stay i have booked before and Christian was the nicest host anyone could ask for. He helped us book a tour of Tulum with a Cenote, which was brilliant, and he was always on hand to answer any questions we had during our stay.

The owners are really friendly and they sent me information about different restaurant recommendations and things to do. The location is also great because it's in centro and close to a lot of restaurants and the main highway. The path back at night was okay for me. There was sufficient lighting on the streets.
This place is more of a B&B and that wasn't clear when I booked. Also, the breakfast could have more options. And the room was dark if the curtains were closed. The light in the room wasn't enough by itself.
I had a wonderful stay at Howlita. The bedroom was comfortable and the location was close (10-15 minutes walk) to the center, but far enough way to be silent during the night. There is a nice pool and free breakfast every day! The staff was extremely accommodating, allowing us to check-in late and check-out late. I would 100% recommend Howlita and stay there again!!
We booked for 1 night but ended up staying for 4 nights at the end. Christian is amazing host, thanks for everything.

They are great hosts! I had a wonderful experience here, and the breakfast was delish! It's a little bit of a local spot as far as neighbors go, which I love. I walked to town and saw many interesting things. I highly recommend it!
I liked it all... a little bit hard to find but other than that...good!
Pros: The host, Cristian, was very nice and helpful, gave us plenty of good recommendations for our trip. The hotel was clean.
Cons: The linens were of poor quality--the sheets felt like the cheapest polyester available. The towels didn't match, felt over-used, and there weren't washcloths in the room, only an extra floor towel.
The breakfast was not worth it--we did the free breakfast option to save money but it was not good.
The hotel itself feels like a former hostel in quality and vibe--it has an empty feeling even when there are people around. Later in our vacation we stayed at another hotel of a similar cost and location that was vastly better.
