Waar het hotel echt in uitblinkt, is het personeel en het eten.
De service is top: hele vriendelijke mensen die meedenken met je behoeftes.
Het standaard continentale ontbijt met één extra keuze van het menu is prima verzorgd. Ook het restaurant is erg goed.
Je wordt vlot geholpen, het eten staat snel op tafel en als het ook maar even dreigt te duren, bieden ze direct hun excuses aan.
Zowel de hoofdgerechten als de desserts smaken goed en zijn echte aanraders.
De schoonmaak in de kamer kan op details beter: hier en daar lagen wat zand en spinnenwebben, en het vloerkleed in zowel de kamer als op de gangen zou een keer gestoomd mogen worden.
De bakjes met thee en koekjes worden dagelijks netjes aangevuld, maar niet afgenomen.
Het grootste minpunt is het bed, dat zowel in de lengte als in de breedte erg klein is.
Als je langer bent dan 1.70 meter steken je voeten al snel buiten het matras, en het dekbed is dusdanig krap dat je met twee personen al snel vier nachten onder een half dekbed ligt.

Able to open the window which is a plus but since the hotel is on a main road it could be a bit noisy.

The location was convenient and the public areas were in good condition. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was so small that the space between the bath and opposite wall of the bathroom was only just big enough to wedge the toilet in and whilst seated on the toilet the toilet roll holder was pushed into my side. The toilet leaked continuously but slowly into the toilet bowl, which caused it to automatically top up every 2-3 hours and when refilling created a whistling noise loud enough to act as a morning alarm. There wasn't a towel rail in the bathroom. The bath was chipped and the shower pressure was poor. I'm 188cm (6'2") tall and my ankles hung off the end of the bed due to a combination of a short bed and a thick padded headboard hanging over the head of the bed. The carpet had a bright orange stain in one corner.

The restaurant at the hotel, the breakfast was great but we ordered dinner the night before and if I had known would never have eaten there. Do not recommend the restaurant.
The location suited us well as we were travelling back to Edinburgh after visiting the west coast and parking was easy.
The room was well appointed with facilities for making hot drinks etc. but also the convenience of the bar and restaurant of the hotel.
Both dinner and breakfast were excellent in quality and value for money and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
