OUTRIGGER Surin Beach Resort

We arrived on 01/03/26 and we're immediately greeted with a marvellous reception. Our bags were whisked off to our rooms and we were shown some of the key areas of the hotel i.e. the dining areas, pools, gym and then escorted to our room.
Our room (231) was spacious, well lit tastefully decorated and spotless. The en suite shower room was up to the same standard and well equipped with hairdryer, shaving point, soap, shampoo, body wash, etc. Overall, we were very pleased with our accommodation.
There's plenty of choice at the breakfast buffet, too. The food serving areas, display counters and tables are meticulously cleaned and the buffet is well stocked with a vast range of food to suit all tastes. Both the kitchen & serving team just can't do enough to help you and serve you with a beaming smile. In fact, everyone you meet working at the hotel are whole-heartedly happy to help you and always acknowledge you with a smile and lovely greeting... this includes the reception staff, room cleaning/service staff, kitchen and serving staff, security staff.

The menu is pretty extensive, reasonably priced and the food is excellent. There are also plenty of other bars and restaurants within walking distance, in and around the area.
The hotel also provide complementary towels to guests using the pool area. You can also use these for boat trips if needed. Surin Beach is just a 5 minute walk away, too.
The most noticeable experience that we will take away with us is the attitude of the whole team that work here. They are genuinely happy, hardworking and always pleased to assist in any way they can. We really can't praise them enough.
We have been staying here for 4 days and still have 3 days to go before moving on, so will add more details soon.

Very nice location, good and friendly staff. Love to come back again... The only negative impression is too much swedish pigs on the beach...

Our stay began disastrously. The room was so small, we could not open our suitcases, and everything was cramped and the room so badly designed, we panicked about spending the next 6 nights there. There are no lifts, and our first room was up three flights of stairs. Not ideal for two elderly travellers. This is certainly not advertised in the hotel literature so be aware it is the standard.
The next morning after my email highlighting the issues we had, Guide, the manager , changed our room for us. Yes, it was much bigger. We had plenty of space, but had to have a king bed, with a fold up bed , instead of our requested twin beds. There was still a walk up two flights of stairs.
I was quite happy with how Guide responded to my concerns, but I still believe the hotel has some design issues, which can impact the stay. Entry to the pool we used was by a step down into the water, and again, a very unfriendly design for older guests.
Nina, the restaurant manager also deserves praise for the way she runs the restaurant, and food presentation and quality was one of the highlights of our stay.
The staff deserve recognition for their attention to your needs, and it is certainly a big plus for the resort, however, design and safety issues do make an impact on your holiday.

Great location in Surin Beach. Much calmer than Patong which is what we were hoping for. The staff are amazing. Very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Juice, restaurant staffer, in particular was so friendly and helpful. She really made our stay even better. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety of western and Asian fare. Overall I would highly recommend if you are looking for a calm, welcoming mid/upper tier hotel.

What a beautiful hotel, the staff are lovely, food was great and service was excellent! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Surin area!

Love this hotel! The staff, service and rooms are excellent! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. We had a very small problem with our toilet and it was sorted within minutes via the app! Also the breakfast and food at the restaurant is brilliant! Beds are comfy! I highly recommend and can’t thank the staff enough for a lovely stay. Hope to see you again!

Relativly small hotel, 200 meters from Surin beach. Modern and fairly quiet, although it's not an adults only hotel. It has two pools and a fitness center. Buffet breakfast is also good. Nice rooms, very clean, everything works, but the rooms are a little on the small side. Friendly and efficient staff.
Only negatives were value for money (it's not cheap anyway and the New Years eve "Party" was way overpriced) and some noisy family guests (which, of course, was not the fault of the hotel).
May well return!

We were very satisfied with our stay at Outrigger Surin. The hotel offers high-quality services and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. The room was very comfortable, with a fantastic direct access to the pool, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended!

It was incredible! Everyone was so friendly and courteous. The hotel complex was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be back.

We are really sad to leave, the hotel is fantastic,we had no complaints whatsoever so ever.
The staff are the most kindest and helpful we have ever met- nothing was too much for them.
Food was fantastic we ate breakfast everyday and enjoyed lunch and evening meal on numerous days.

First time I’ve ever written a review for anything and it’s because our stay was just so good! Room was very clean and open, lots of light and a really nice bathroom too. My partner and I stayed here to attend the EDC festival so it was pretty good for location in terms of that.
Straight across from Surin Beach too, a really lovely beach.

A few surrounding restaurants a short walk away but they do have their own food options which serve some really great food and drinks. Definitely get breakfast included in your stay!

The highlight of a trip however was hands down the staff. The service we received was so amazing, the staff are just so genuinely happy and friendly, they were really lovely. Super helpful and kind every time we asked for anything or even just walking by. It’s definitely what will bring us back next year to attend the festival again!

(Would also recommend booking a room with your own pool, very cool!)

Hotel staff really makes you feel like home, all requests are taken care of immediately, any help you ask for is provided!

Thank you to all the hotel staff for their kindness and attentiveness. The hotel and its location seemed to be the best in Surin for us. We would have liked more variety at breakfast — by the end of the 6th day it became a bit repetitive. Also, one of the two rooms did not match the photos on Expedia: there was no mirror and no sofa. Otherwise, everything was good. We wish you further growth and improvement!

Our family spent 4 fabulous nights at the Outrigger resort. The staff were amazing, so helpful and friendly. The pool was absolutely amazing- our son spent so much time there. The beach is a short 3 min walk from the resort, and is so beautiful. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start our day- with so much fresh fruit and juices. We would recommend Outrigger to any family visiting Phuket.

This was the best hotel we stayed in during our travels around Thailand, and we honestly could not fault it! We stayed in for a week when we first arrived and struggled not to compare every other hotel we stayed in after.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.

The room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. We stated in one of the suites over two floors which gave us plenty of space. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of choice and was consistently high quality. We also had dinner here a few nights too.

Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations, from the service to the accommodation and overall atmosphere.

We would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Surin Beach!

Enjoyed the stay immensely! Excellent service, very kind staff, always welcoming and friendly. The food at the restaurant was good and I loved the quiet pool. Surin Beach right in front, just one minute walk. Cannot wait to visit again.
