Absolutely love this Victorian hotel. Super friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay.
Owner and staff were great! Ill definitely stay again.
Stepped back in time to a lovely inn. Clean, updated but preserved the charm and actor of the time. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
This is a delightful historic hotel in the heart of Virginia City, MT. We went in the off season so none of the shops were open, but the town itself is very quaint.. we'll go back when it's in season. This hotel is rustic but very clean, beds were very comfortable and it's such a small place having the toilet and shower down the hall was just fine. I would go back. It was a bit expensive for the off season.
The room was small and quaint, better fit for one person. There was a family reunion in town and they got there first. The second night we were upgraded to a cabin which was great, spacious comfortable, large bath and a short walk to breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.
Virginia city was an awesoystep in the past. The hotel is on main street in the middle of everything. Ronnie the hotel manager made it special for all guests. Because the hotel is old, the floors creaked and rooms were small. Everything else was excellent.
Because you think you booked a room at the Fairweather it may not be so. You could end up in a cabin in Nevada City which is the next small town. The best part of this is the Star restaurant which is located walking distance. They serve an excellent breakfast, have a pastry shop in the same building, and the wait staff are really nice and friendly.
The room is basic, no TV, AC in the bathroom, and you can hear your neighbor talking or answering their phone, etc. shower was hot but that industrial soap dispenser was not for me. I hate these, you do not know what is inside.I had previous shampo, condi and soap from another hotel, so that works for us.
Old hotel, but quaint. Fine for one night. Room 10 is haunted so….
Will stay there again in the near future. Better than the big chains, staff was awesome, rooms are awesome. And the bed was perfect. Quite and peaceful all night.
This property and the staff were EXCELLENT! I can’t recommend highly enough. One thing I would like to clear up is that in reading reviews before booking the property, several comments were made regarding having a shared bathroom, so I made a reservation for a cabin that clearly stated it had a private bathroom. Firstly, the cabins are a mile down the road, NOT in the hotel so if you want to walk out the front door and be on the Main Street, don’t reserve a cabin. Secondly, all but a few single rooms have their own private bath. No need to worry. Please call the hotel directly if you are booking a single bed. The hotel is charming, the room and bed were fantastic, private bath brand new and spa like. Small, one person at a time, but comfortable and clean! Period pieces throughout the hotel. Every staff member I came into contact with stopped to chat, very friendly and service was impeccable. Ice was available at the front desk and they had a refrigerator at the desk to store anything we needed to. They also have a balcony on the second floor to sit and watch the town go by. We were there on July so it was hot but we spent the afternoons and evenings after dinner out there. It was so peaceful and a great bird’s eye view of the town and everything happening there. Food options within easy walking distance, fantastic steak house just across the street. Everything you need for a getaway. Can’t wait to go back!
No ice maker; mattress was awful. Some of the lights in the room didn’t work. Loved the historical info and period furniture. Parking was great.
Very cute place, would stay here again
It is an old historic hotel. Enjoyed the history around it.
A quaint cabin tucked off the road but very convenient location. The beds are very comfortable.
Great job!
Nice property and pleasant staff 👍
Our rooms each turned out to be an entire small cabin, with bedroom and bathroom. What a fun surprise!
This was the cutest little hotel. Really felt quaint and unique. We loved it!
This was a fun place to visit and stay for the night! We got to visit the museums, ride the train and we even got to see a comedy show! The pizza was delishes!
The lady who was checking us in was so nice and helpful. She explained the area options open for us. Nice area!
