Quiet and relaxing
Pros:

Staff really helpful, setting lovely. Perfect place to chill out after a long flight. Beautiful sunsets viewed from roof

Stairs were a bit of a workout, but no problem

Ghetto à touriste
Pros:

Je mets une bonne note uniquement pour l’accueil chaleureux du propriétaire et l’appartement qui est super.

Cons:

Ce complexe est un ghetto à touriste. Ou il y à plein de règles dénué de sens. Signature quand vous allez à la piscine et bonnet de bain obligatoire et non fournis. Pas mettre le linge sur le balcon et j’en passe. Personnel de la piscine infecte ! Ma fille et mon mari faisait gentiment du tapis de course dans la salle de sport la personne les a sorti en étant menaçant ! Bref ce lieu ne reflète pas du tout le vrai Sri Lanka et la gentillesse des srilankais ( sauf le propriétaire de l’appartement qui etait adorable)!

Great and helpful staff, private beach but remote location
Pros:

The staff was pleasant and helpful, arranged for the Van for the travel and were accommodating in changing the rooms. Lucky was extremely helpful.
The property was clean.

In addition to that it opens up on beach
And it’s more or less private beach.
Great breakfast. Loved the food.
However Limited options for lunch and dinner (until you pre-order)

Cons:

The location is remote. Is expensive to book Tuk Tuk for city and Negombo beach. Prefer this location if you want calm and peace. Absolutely not a place for party, night strolling etc.

Pros:

I spent two nights at Zingler Cottage in Negombo. It was a very quiet and pleasant place to stay, with good accommodation and food. The staff at the resort were very kind and helpful. They also arranged a cab with a friendly driver for a five-day trip around Sri Lanka.

Relaxing and hospitable stay in a comfy hotel with the best staff.
Pros:

We had an extended 2 week stay here due to a cancelled flight and couldn’t have asked to be stranded in a better place. The hotel was comfortable, good beds, clean, hot showers, lovely pool and decent sun loungers. The food was freshly cooked and tasty but the best thing about Ziegler Cottage was the staff. They were all a complete delight and made us feel so at home. Everyone of them was smiley, hardworking and so helpful. We can’t thank you enough for looking after us so well.

Cons:

Nothing really….. I suppose if you didn’t check out it’s location properly you may think it a bit of a way out of Negombo (20 mins in a tuktuk). And the beach was a little disappointing as it wasn’t safe to swim but I believe the rains in December had washed the sand away so this may have changed.

Relaxing but no ocean swimming and not quiet nights.
Pros:

Friendly staff, nice food, quiet location

Cons:

Zero access to the ocean due to shart coral and this is not advertised. Pool not clean. Our room was noisy at night due to some water pump. Changing rooms helped but not completely.
