The location and relaxing atmosphere made this overnight stay exactly what I was looking for.
Pros:

From the moment I arrived, I received a genuinely warm welcome that set the tone. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which made me feel relaxed straight away.

A special mention has to go to the family dog, Cruz, who was just lovely and added an extra personal touch to the experience. The atmosphere throughout was comfortable and inviting, and it’s clear the team really care about their guests’ experience.

Overall, a lovely stay.. happily return and would definitely recommend to others.

Calm, relaxed and comfortable get away!
Pros:

Fantastic welcoming service and exactly the quiet get away we wanted! The rooom was cute and very comfortable, with a lovely window to look out of. The staff gave us great advice for our local walk and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely escape ☺️

Lovely place to stay.
Pros:

Great cozy pub with nice clean rooms. Very welcoming and accommoding hosts. Good wifi. Very cozy pub and restaurant downstairs with nice food.

Cons:

The showers were too old. They did not have enough pressure and took too long for warm (never hot) water to come out.

Won’t be returning.
Pros:

Not that much. The full English breakfast on the 2nd morning was good.

Cons:

Luke warm shower in winter, not good.
No wifi connection in the room only in the bar. Had to join some account that was a huge effort than didn’t work.
The chef on the Friday night and the Saturday morning was not the normal chef and the food was not worth the cost of what was charged. Poached eggs that were hard, the host said yeah not the normal chef but you then don’t turn around and charge the price they did.
The crab burger, smallest crab I have ever seen.

Pros:

Parking good. Staff very accommodating. Breakfast was good. Tea was good in the room and it was nice to have fresh milk.

Glad it was only for one night!

Character property, friendly staff

Cons:

Dirty carpets leading to rooms, dirty glasses on breakfast table, poor breakfast described as a continental breakfast it wasn’t cereals , only sourdough bread toasted and put on a plate, asked for wholemeal bread or just ordinary bread “we don’t do any other bread” overpriced desserts very poor.I sent mine back as it was nothing like its description.

Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at The Bathurst Arms. We happened to arrive later than expected but the owner's really kindly stayed up so they could check us in when we arrived, they were so friendly and welcoming, really lovely hosts. The breakfasts were really good and the meal we had on the Saturday night was delicious, especially the desert! The pub had a great friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and the location was perfect for what we wanted, we will definitely be visiting again.

Great stay, and would certainly recommend it to anyone
Pros:

The Bathurst Arms, was in a great location, with a building full of character and great value for money, the landlord and lady and all the staff were super friendly, and did everything to make the stay thoroughly enjoyable, I was sad to leave, but will certainly be staying there again in the near future
