Great place to relax in Antigua
Pros:

El Carmen Hotel is conveniently located slightly outside of the main streets and plaza, so you're not surrounded by too much noise at night, but close enough to walk to all relevant places in Antigua. The staff was very helpful throughout my stay, helping with recommendations for sightseeing and how to get to shittles, etc. Loved the roof terrace and breakfast there.

Super venligt personale. God beliggenhed lige midt i den gamle del af Antigua. Dejlig restaurant beliggende på øverste etage med udsigt til vulkaner.

Cons:

Jeg havde værelse lige under restauranten, hvilket betød at jeg blev vækket hver morgen kl 6 når personalet gik igang med at klargøre morgenmaden.

Excelente hotel
Pros:

La habitación es muy cómoda y el personal es muy amable. Hay varias opciones para desayunar y todas son muy buenas. La terraza donde se toma el desayuno con vista a la ciudad y los volcanes es muy bonita. El hotel se encuentra muy bien ubicado a solo dos calles de la plaza principal de antigua

Prima hotel op goede locatie
Pros:

Het hotel ligt heerlijk centraal en alles ligt op loopafstand. Het ontbijt op het dakterras is prima en je hebt er een mooi uitzicht op de vulkanen en het dorp. Het fijne is ook dat de kamerdeuren met een automatisch cijferslot opengaat waardoor je dus geen fysiek sleutel nodig hebt.

Cons:

Onze kamer had een slechte ventilatie en daarom rook en voelde de kamer klam aan.

Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war abwechslungsreich und die Aussicht wunderschön. Zimmer sauber und Betten bequem.

Cons:

Leider haben die Badezimmer keinen Dampfabzug (und je nachdem auch kein Fenster). Dadurch bildet sich viel Feuchtigkeit im Zimmer. Ausserdem hats wenig natürliches Licht im Zimmer

Pros:

Location was perfect easily walkable to everything

Cons:

Some times no hot water and patchy WiFi and tv the Netflix and you tube weren’t connecting luckily there was one English speaking channel

Pros:

La atención de personal excelente, la vistas de la terraza y la comida del desayuno estuvo delicioso y muy variado aún siendo a la carta. Sin duda tuvimos una estancia muy cómoda y la ubicación de hotel es excelente cerca de todo.

Cons:

El restaurante y bar del hotel cerraba super temprano tipo 8 pm y nos tocaba salir a buscar otras opciones.

Ubicación privilegiada, servicio y desayuno excelente, pero cuidado con la humedad en la habitación.
Pros:

El hotel tiene una ubicación privilegiada, cerca de los principales atractivos de La Antigua Guatemala, lo que es su mayor ventaja. Las instalaciones son sencillas pero agradables: la habitación es amplia, cama y almohadas cómodas, muy limpia, con baño moderno, agua caliente y artículos de aseo incluidos (detalle que pocos hoteles ofrecen últimamente). La tarifa incluye desayuno en la terraza, con siete hojas de opciones de platillos para escoger, todos muy ricos. Además, cuenta con un ECOFILTRO dentro de la habitación, lo cual es un gran plus.

Cons:

El hotel tiene muchos aspectos positivos y es la segunda vez que me hospedo aquí. La primera ocasión no tuve ningún problema con la reserva. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión la habitación 104 presentaba un olor evidente y excesivo a humedad. Es cierto que La Antigua Guatemala es un lugar naturalmente húmedo, pero en esta habitación el olor era demasiado fuerte; incluso nuestra ropa se sentía mojada al día siguiente después de dejarla colgada en el perchero. El baño no cuenta con ventana o extractor de olores y la habitación no tiene ventanas hacia la calle principal ni entrada de sol. La iluminación proviene únicamente del pasillo, lo cual no es suficiente para mantener el ambiente libre de humedad. Si padeces de alergias, congestión nasal u otro, PIÉNSALO DOS VECES.
