Pros:

La atención de personal excelente, la vistas de la terraza y la comida del desayuno estuvo delicioso y muy variado aún siendo a la carta. Sin duda tuvimos una estancia muy cómoda y la ubicación de hotel es excelente cerca de todo.

Cons:

El restaurante y bar del hotel cerraba super temprano tipo 8 pm y nos tocaba salir a buscar otras opciones.

Ubicación privilegiada, servicio y desayuno excelente, pero cuidado con la humedad en la habitación.
Pros:

El hotel tiene una ubicación privilegiada, cerca de los principales atractivos de La Antigua Guatemala, lo que es su mayor ventaja. Las instalaciones son sencillas pero agradables: la habitación es amplia, cama y almohadas cómodas, muy limpia, con baño moderno, agua caliente y artículos de aseo incluidos (detalle que pocos hoteles ofrecen últimamente). La tarifa incluye desayuno en la terraza, con siete hojas de opciones de platillos para escoger, todos muy ricos. Además, cuenta con un ECOFILTRO dentro de la habitación, lo cual es un gran plus.

Cons:

El hotel tiene muchos aspectos positivos y es la segunda vez que me hospedo aquí. La primera ocasión no tuve ningún problema con la reserva. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión la habitación 104 presentaba un olor evidente y excesivo a humedad. Es cierto que La Antigua Guatemala es un lugar naturalmente húmedo, pero en esta habitación el olor era demasiado fuerte; incluso nuestra ropa se sentía mojada al día siguiente después de dejarla colgada en el perchero. El baño no cuenta con ventana o extractor de olores y la habitación no tiene ventanas hacia la calle principal ni entrada de sol. La iluminación proviene únicamente del pasillo, lo cual no es suficiente para mantener el ambiente libre de humedad. Si padeces de alergias, congestión nasal u otro, PIÉNSALO DOS VECES.

Great hotel in superb location to explore the city centre
Pros:

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location. Our room was quite small but had great storage so you cold keep everything out of the way. The rooftop is fantastic, we didn’t eat dinner there but breakfast was great. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Only couple of negatives were the tiny bathroom and the fluctuating shower pressure, but they wouldn’t stop me rebooking this hotel!

We had a great stay at El Carmen Hotel in Antigua. The only drawback is that the rooms are very small, but everything else more than made up for it. The rooms were very clean, and the customer service was top notch from start to finish. The staff helped us schedule our tours and arrange transportation to Lake Atitlán, which made our trip so much easier. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop had a gorgeous view that made mornings even better. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in Antigua!

Cons:

Could use more light. You can hear the noise outside if your room is on the street side. But I still slept like a baby.
