Negresco Princess

I booked this hotel for my son’s 18th birthday trip. Our first time in Barcelona. The hotel is really central. 10-15 mins from lots of main areas/attractions. 5 mins from Placa Catalunya which is where the aerobus stop is.
The hotel itself was clean, comfy with the added touch of luxury with the rooftop bar and pool. Rooms not ready until 3pm but they will store your bags and even take them up for you when it is ready. Our room was perfect, the sockets by the side of the bed (one side only) didn’t work but other than that no complaints, lovely view too! Free mini bar, changed daily (beer, water and red bull). We booked breakfast for the duration of our stay (€16pp). So much choice, even fizz! Definitely recommend. We had drinks in the rooftop bar a few times, great cocktails and prices akin to others locally. The pool is small but heated and we enjoyed a dip (in February!). We didn’t try the sauna, but it’s free to use for guests.
Generally, I was so impressed, great value for money and I’ve already told all my friends and family about it. If we return I will 100% stay here again.

This hotel is a lovely hotel in a great location. It has lots of positives - pool, roof terrace, lovely breakfast. Please be aware though that a standard room does not have a window to the outside world. On booking we decided that we wouldn’t pay the extra for a balcony but were not expecting the room we got to have no external window. We enquired about a room with a window but were told it would cost €30 extra per night or €60 per night for a balcony.The air con kept us awake with constant dripping and squealing all night. We loved the hotel in general but it unfortunately did not give us the lovely experience we were hoping for as the room was below expectations and not as described when booked.

with water ,beer and coke zero n red bull replaced daily. tea and coffee also in room...we booked breakfast, very reasonable cost with lots of food options...would 100% recommend this hotel and the rooftop bar and pool were lovely

Wecoming could not fault the hotel. Confortabċe rooms, good shower cpmlementary mini bar. Gret tapas at the bar friendly service. Breakast is ok but not the best

They had our heart from the moment we checked in around 10am after an all night flight from the US. They told us our rooms were ready and let us go up early, which was SO appreciated! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean, they provided a free variety of drinks in the refrigerator, and even had a live piano player one day! That may have been a Christmas-time special, but he was great! Only thing I wish would have been different is I booked the "city view" room and it was really more like a street view. I could see the street and directly into the windows of the building across from me. My friends were one floor above me with a balcony city view (6th floor instead of 5th), and that extra floor made a difference. They got really pretty views of the city and skyline for sunsets. But other than that, the price was very reasonable for the hotel quality and excellent location for being able to walk to anything. Lots of shops and restaurants close by. I would absolutely recommend staying here!

Location is very good for getting around.
We had a great time could not fault the hotel in any way the staff were excellent so helpful, the rooftop bar was wonderful cocktails very tasty, and the surprise birthday Cava and cake in our room was a lovely touch.
Thank you for a wonderful experience loved every moment of Barcelona and you guys helped to make it happen.

Amazing hotel central to shops and walking distance to most amazing places to see. Lovely room. Nice rooftop terrace. Would definitely stay again. Staff great. Good breakfast selection.

I stayed at the Negresco Princess for a business trip and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, central, convenient, and close to everything I needed. The rooms were modern, very clean, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after long work days.

Service throughout my stay was excellent; the staff were friendly, helpful, and consistently professional. The breakfast was another highlight, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality options.

Overall, a wonderful stay.

Fantastic location and the facilities including rooftop bar and Sauna etc. were great. Loved the Pianist in the bar on the Friday evening! Room was clean and had great views across the city (only on floor 5 though so didn't see as much as the higher ones)! The shower was also great! All the staff were friendly and they gave options to leave luggage on my check out day without me even asking for them.

Fantastic hotel great location to explore city and access good local transport links.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in October as part of our annual trips to Barcelona. Excellent location close to Plaça Catalunya, El Born, Gothic Quarter and Eixample. Easy walk to all major sites. Very comfortable room. All amenities as described. Great rooftop bar and pool which we used daily as well as a Sauna. Overall this please is excellent. Front of house staff are always excellent and very helpful. Highly recommended

This was our second visit to The Negresso Princess. It did not disappoint... Fabulous Breakfast, perfect sized room but above all friendly helpful staff that who could not do enough to make your stay comfortable.
We took the AeroBus from the Airport to The Hotel, which is located just of Placa Catalunya (5 mins walk), the hotel could not be more central for everything.
A lovely touch on "Checking In" was as we were returning guests, we were presented with a voucher for welcome drinks and Tapas of our choice. We had arrived early and our room was not yet ready, so the voucher was used straight away at the rooftop bar...
We sampled shops, took a bus to Park Guell (Remember you need to book your tickets well in advance), did a day trip to "Sitges". . The city of Barcelona is so lovely to walk about, full of character and charm. But heed the warnings on pick pockets. Yes we will be back again

Negresco Princess is a lovely hotel with very accommodating staff, always willing to help when needed. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modern and boasts a large and comfortable lobby. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. It did lack space for us to open our luggage as there was only one rack. The only issue we saw was in the shower. The shower floors and walls were black tile and a black stone like basin which visually hides black mold. If you look closely or take a white towel to the corners and edges where the floor basin meets the walls, you will find a large amount of black mold. I don't blame housekeeping, because I know that management doesn't give them enough time to properly clean the shower each day. Other than this cost saving measure by management resulting in black mold, the hotel was wonderful.

The front desk staff were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was awesome. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, they ensured our every need was met. They provided us with early check-in, gave us welcoming tourist suggestions even mapping out directions to get there. They were so pleasant and helpful. The rooftop bar was a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The rooms were very comfortable and the free mini bar was appreciated. My only complaint is that the cleaner would knock on the room door and then instantly open the door to come in, not verifying that someone could be in the room. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

Excellent upmarket hotel with very pleasant staff and high standards throughout. Rooftop bar with small pool is a nice spot to relax after a day’s sightseeing.

Lovely welcome from Artur on arrival, whom was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Artur helped with directions and tickets to attractions, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. We had a spacious, quiet corner room on 6th floor. Which was perfect for our stay. Amazing rooftop bar/restaurant with views across the city. Breakfast was great for €16 a day for three days. Served 7am to 10.30am. Brilliant, central location with no need for taxis to anywhere. Would definitely recommend. Five stars.
