Had a fun time with family! Recommend it!

The staff was extremely friendly and polite. Property was clean and well kept. It was a fun place to take a break from driving across the country.

We have been to Wheeling Island several times, however due to some personal circumstances as well as the big flood that Wheeling Island had, this was our first trip back in 2 years. All I can say is Wow!!!! The hotel rooms have been remodeled. Fresh carpet, new bathrooms, new beds, pillows, everything has that new carpet smell. It was amazing! And as always the staff are always helpful. Very friendly. The casino layout is the same, however they now have a bar and grill restaurant and a smaller food court. Amazing stay! Thanks again

Location is very easy to get to. One of the pros to the casino is the proximity to the historical district of wheeling, which I definitely recommend visiting as well.

Room was very clean. View wasnt the greatest though what do you expect for the price and time of year really? Overall was definitely a great value! In terms of noise level, it was very quiet in the room.

Service was my only complaint, but not enough to reduce the rating. Really wish the staff at the receptions desk would be faster. That being said all of the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Been going there for years. The visit was an awesome experience.

Been to this casino many times since I grew up in the area but I moved away. I come back to visit often and while I like going to casinos this is my least favorite. The cigarette smoke is atrocious. Many of the casinos we frequent are non smoking, have a smoking area completely blocked off with doors for people to enter/exit or have a specialized air filtration system. I have no problem with people that smoke, but because I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke, I’m unable to stay in there for more than 15-20 mins. I’m not sure why they haven’t upgraded this casino or tried to improve it so all guests can have an enjoyable experience.

Beds uncomfortable.
Pillows didn't fit pillow cases and uncomfortable.
Mini fridge not cold.
No coffee pot or microwave in rooms.
Water in shower not as hot as we like.

We were pleasantly surprised by our recent stay at Wheeling Island! The timing was perfect as they have just completed a massive $4.5 million renovation (early 2026) that really breathed new life into the property. The hotel rooms are significantly updated—everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. The highlight for us was the new Gravitate Food Hub. Instead of a standard boring food court, they have nine different concepts ranging from street tacos to healthy bowls, which made eating here a lot more exciting. We also had a sophisticated dinner at The Pointe Sea & Steak, and the service was top-tier. Even if you aren't a big gambler, the live entertainment in the showroom is worth the trip alone. It’s a great 'all-in-one' destination that finally feels like the luxury retreat it was meant to be!"

It takes about an hour to get there from Pittsburgh. I love the atmosphere when you walk in the front entrance to a waterfall and palm trees. They have a nice variety of slot machines along with several table games. They keep the casino floor very tidy. The food is great no matter where you eat. The Pointe steakhouse is terrific!

Two days ago, my wife and I took my 90-year-old mother to the casino for a two-day trip for her birthday. My wife forgot her wallet with her driver's license. She did have a picture of it on her phone. The security officer was kind enough to run her license number and verify she was good to enter the gaming area. All of that day and evening she was free to enter and exit the gaming area without any issues. We spent the night and, in the morning, my wife and mother went to enter to gaming area to eat breakfast and gamble while I took our luggage to the car and came back in to meet them. The short, heavy set, bald security officer would not permit my wife in without her license. He would not enter her info into the system manually as did the previous officers. This would be understandable and acceptable if he didn't have an attitude. This same officer did this with several other persons that I know of. As a law enforcement officer myself, this is what gives people in this type of position a bad name. I did not identify myself as a law enforcement office because I knew he was doing his job, but there's a time and place to be rude to someone. Not with a 90-year-old and my wife. We spent a lot of money that evening and planned on spending the next day their also. I emailed customer service to let them know about their employee. I did not hear back from them. This is very disappointing as my mother liked everything about the casino and hotel.

Ate at The Pointe as we have done for several years on New Year’s Eve. The service was terrible, had to ask for refills on our drinks, had to ask for steak knives and had to ask for drawn butter for the lobster tails. Sent one of the lobster tail back because it was all mush, they did replace it and apologized.

Location is great, easy on and off the freeway to the casino. The staff is always great and went above and beyond to help with the little issues we had. Though we dont stay overnight often the hotel is great and really first class. The casino and hotel is super clean and a friendly atmosphere all around.

Floor staff made me get up from my machine while I had $300 in credits so they could change the cash box. After they finished that machine did not hit a single time. I lost the $300 i had accumulated trying to get it going again see as i only sank a moderate amount into it. The raw sewage that slammed us in the face throughout the entire non-smoking section was horrific. We both had instant migraines and I became nauseous as all get out. The Gravitate FoodHub is awful.Almost $40 for 2 breakfast meals and 2 hot beverages, both of which were served cold. We finished our breakfast before our remade drinks were serve to us. The young lady at the hotel registration desk however was kind, poilite, helpful, efficient, all around phenomenal.
