Worth it for a special occasion or treat
Pros:

It has everything you need under one roof

Cons:

The rates per night for the time I stayed were higher than I would normally pay, it was a special occasion so was prepared to pay a premium, but I do think it is overpriced.

Excellent location
Pros:

Large room, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. In an excellent location for the BP Pulse Arena.

Cons:

Expensive for room only, without breakfast. I understand that this is because of the location, however.

A fantastic stay with excellent facilities, great location & outstanding comfort.
Pros:

Spacious room that was quiet, large TV, large bed, walk-in shower with Espa products, all of the facilities in the room were modern, and well kept.
Location of the hotel is excellent overlooking the lake with access to shops, restaurants, bowling and cinema and within walking distance of NEC. Breakfast in the Sky Bar was a treat as was free access to and use of the lovely spa. Staff were helpful and friendly and check-in and check-out was quick and simple.
It had everything and I would definitely stay again.

Cons:

There is nothing I did not like. These are personal preferences:
- large mugs instead of cups,
- more milk for tea/coffee
- fully stocked fridge
- bath robes
- more powerful hairdryer (and add straighteners)

Very pleasant stay
Pros:

The room was lovely, big size and space, good facilities, big TV, nice bathroom and shower, good wardrobe storage, minifridge was great keeping our drinks and snacks cool during the heatwave, AC helped take the edge off. Breakfast was a nice variety of hot and continental, and good seating available. Location was perfect for a nearby convention.

Cons:

No openable window in our room, AC didn't go any colder than 15, TV satellite was dodgy but not a big issue.
