El Bosque Lodging

Away from the busy towncenter. Closer to the Monteverde and Curi Cancha reserve. Next to the coffee center. Across from the stella's cafe. Staff was helpful and nice.

This property is a lovely rustic set of townhouse style cabins. Lovely verandas so sit and view the beautiful area of Monteverde. The shower has hot water and the bed is good. There is no air conditioning but is not needed. The full hot breakfast is perfect. This will definitely be our return destination

I felt like I was in the movie - the Mexican- with Brad Pitt and Julia Robert’s. The place was that old and run down. Breakfast was good, but it was a hike to a restaurant on the main road. We paid for two nights, but left after the first night. Couldn’t sleep with the barking dogs and run down beds.

Hotel muy sencillo pero cumplidor, a precio razonable y ubicado en el bosque, cerca de la reserva. Buena opción.

Amazing place for a quiet vacation in monteverde. Close to everything but right on the edge so it feels like you're miles from anywhere. We had a great time and will be back. Make sure you check out the trails.

Bathroom can be a little cleaner and rooms a bit more isolated

Quiet and away from the crowds, convenient to the national park.

This is always one of my favorite stays in Costa Rica. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the breakfast is amazing! Pool is comfortable temperature and clean. Gardens are nice but less variety than in the past. Still nice.

Buena ubicación, limpio, buen servicio

If you don't need a fancy place with AC etc. this one is good. I was here for 9 days and was happy with the bird watching around the property and close proximity to other birding places. The breakfasts were always great at the co-owned restaurant & they always had what I wanted for dinner. If you don't have a car, make sure to check their closing times because after 6pm there are no other options close by.

My stay was great. I took the walk around the property and the staff were amazing! I would stay here again.

Great location, but sadly the place has declined a bit since I stayed here 7 years ago. Breakfast has moved slightly off sight, and was not very good. Rooms are very basic, but serviceable. They are what they are. Grounds are fantastic with a variety of wildlife on site. However trail that they used to lead a night hike on is no longer functional (that was a big draw for me). Place can use a facelift. Location is really great.

Comfortable no frills rooms, clean. Hiking on property. excellent provided breakfast. Amazing value. Several restaurants easy walking distance and town shopping only a bit further. Visited children's reserve and waterfall hike close by. Both nice saw lots of birds monkeys. Staff provided us with a small fridge and microwave available at reception area to reheat leftovers. Highly recommend for a slightly off the grid jungle experience.

Ottima struttura integrata nella natura il ristorante annesso è di qualità veramente alta - purtroppo non si fa la raccolta differenziata e questa è una cosa inaccettabile!!!!

The owner went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was exceptional! Loved the surrounding area and the trails nearby. They put us in Casa Anna the first night when the reservation had a bit of a mixup. Loved the ambience and food at their nearby restaurant. Highly recommend!!
