潮騒の宿
Pros:

海岸の崖の上に建っており部屋からの眺望はすばらしい。
朝食は丁寧な和定食で、オプションに焼きたての海苔、薩摩汁などがあり、豊かな朝ごはんだった。
ホテルは築50年くらいらしいが、きれいにリノベートされていて、清潔・オシャレな印象。同時にところどころに、昭和のホテルの面影もあり、新しさと懐かしさが同居していて、楽しめた。

Cons:

こちら側の事情で、チェックアウトの日、早朝に出発せねばならなくなり、朝食をとれなくなった。事前にその事情をお話して、おにぎり、サンドイッチのような簡単なテイクアウトはできないかと相談したが、できないとのことだった。
ルーティンにないことだろうから、できなくても仕方がないとは理解しつつも、何か柔軟な対応をして頂けたらありがたかったなぁと思う。

とても気持ちよく過ごせた
Pros:

ロビーでのコーヒーやデトックスウォーターのサービスがあり素敵なロケーションを眺めながらゆっくり寛げた。また友人と外で写真を撮ろうとしていたらそれに気づいたスタッフの方がわざわざ外に出てきて写真を撮って下さりとても感謝でした。

部屋も広くて清潔、部屋からは海が見える。
温泉もとても良い。

Cons:

施設等何も問題なし。
温泉街中心から少し離れているので夕食を付けていない場合、温泉街中心に車で食べに行く事になるが、指宿温泉には代行サービスがあるのでアルコールを飲む人はそれを利用すると便利．(温泉街中心から約1500円ぐらい)

Ocean views; almost private beach; roomy rooms; gorgeous outdoor onsen with ocean view and breeze and bird song; yoga room; exquisite breakfast. Access to local bus was helpful but not comprehensive,

Old fluorescent lighting; dated bathroom fixtures; distance to nearest restaurant (onsite hotel restaurant was booked for my stay)
