Great experience. Best part was the sunrise from our balcony. Beachfront.
Indoor pool didn't open till 10am and closed 6:30pm which was too late in the morning and too early in the evening for tourist coming with kids

The property is described as a hotel. Only 1 tiny soap was provided no other toiletries available in bathroom. The hand towels smelled like they had not been used for years and musky. The top bunk bed had springs poking through the mattress. My granddaughter could not sleep in it. The base of the double bed was not joined together and kept sliding apart the mattress on the double bed was rock hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very minimal and the tea and coffee at breakfast and in the room was awful. If I can think of anything positive to say it would be that the staff were very friendly and pleasant.

Central location near to beach. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly and helpful.Room was clean and comfortable.
The room was by the lift so the noise of the lift was quite loud.
Great location with everything in walking distance.
As many have mentioned it could do with updating,however i felt was comfortable and very clean.
Great that there was bar (good prices too!!) and plenty of seating.Breakfast was really good and well organised,staff were really attentive-a special mention to bar/breakfast staff who were really friendly and helpful and guests seemed to be very happy.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again-it was great to see a range of age groups there,thank you Royal Pier for a lovely stay.
No parking was the only negative,but its like that in Sandown im afraid.
Would be good to have the option of an earlier check in (i know there is a 2pm option you can pay for) especially for people who arrive early,although i understand it maybe difficult given the amount of rooms.
Staff were lovely. Amazing view and location. Great to have bar and entertainment in the evening.
Breakfast was not the best. Unimpressed with having to share a table with a completely unconnected family of six. You should always have your own table in a hotel. Didn't like the wooden teaspoons in our room. Also, we placed do not disturb sign in our room to prevent staff having to unnecessarily clean. Contractors (or staff) knocked to come in (and probably returned whilst we were out).

Great location. I got an upgraded view room. Room had a wonderful view. Some updates on the room could be welcomed but overall it was nice.

our waiter at breakfast was helpful as were one or two of the other staff members. breakfast was reasonable and well organised.
some of the front of house staff were rude and very far from accommodating despite being a group of 10 (5 rooms for four nights). we did not feel welcome nor like we were welcome back. I would not recommend the hotel given the rudeness of the staff. on our last day we were told having just entered the pool that there was a pool party at 11. no one explained this to us when we had jut entered the pool. we left the hotel at 1pm and no pool party had started....Isle of wight is amazing. don't let this hotel ruin your stay.
