The location lovely but I was very disappointed with the shower situation
Pros:

The breakfast was ok on the sat & Sun / The location good with a nice swimming pool

Cons:

The shower was basically not even fit to wash my hair … I didn’t have a proper shower during my stay just a strip wash at the corner sink by my bed ! The issue was reported at reception and witnessed by the cleaner who was also going to report and nothing done throughout my stay

Pros:

Its right on the seafront facing sandown beach. Your literally seconds from the beach and pier. Easy to just walk across the road and you're there. About 1-2 minutes walk to the shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and attraction all within a few minutes walk. They have an indoor swimming pool.

Cons:

The breakfast was disappointing. I had noted in advance about dietary intolerances and clearly listed what could not be eaten. I also called the hotel in advance prior to arrival and was assured that a chef would discuss suitable options with us, but this didn't happen. On the first day at breakfast the omelette provided were very oily, the next day burnt and unsuitable to eat had to send it back. As a result, we had to go to a cafe for breakfast Thursday and Friday, where the chefs took the time to speak directly with us about dietary requirements.

Pros:

Very friendly staff / the shower was very easy to use.

Cons:

The breakfast was perhaps a little bit disappointing. There were three options from which you had to choose but as I only stayed over there for one night, I only got to try one of the choice (English breakfast).

Royal Pier Hotel
Pros:

The Hotel itself was in a lovely location and the staff were fantastic

Cons:

I found for the price of the room it was not worth it. Shower was too high, no soap dish and water didn't run out of the shower properly. There was no cold water available in the wash basin. I know I didn't go on holiday to watch tv but trying to block out the noise from outside & loud music inside I tried the tv which wasn't working properly.

Traditional hotel. Modernisation needed.
Pros:

- Friendly staff.
- Comfortable lounge and bar area.
- Swimming pool
- Great location for the beach
- Bus stop right around the corner

Cons:

- Breakfast is served strictly at 8.30am. Unusual format as guests all eat at exactly the same time. Not convenient. Also limited choice on the breakfast menu. Small portions.

- Shower room was tiny and had mould on the shower unit. Very old.

- TV in the room very small.

-Spa pool jacuzzi not working. Appears it won't be reinstated anytime soon so this option should be updated.

- Only 1 small soap offered in the room. Could offer a more luxurious shower gel.
