Pro
The hotel staff is very friendly and they have a nice small swimming pool. Everything was clean.
Con
The breakfast is really basic. For 150 baht I can get / expect a bit more.
Absolute terrible for me are the sleeping mattress. I felt like a very old man in the morning and could feel every bone in my body.
Sehr schön für nenn Zwischenstop ! Gerne wieder
... we (2 couples) booked a room with balcony - not get a balcony ! Also after I claim at the reception , the guy not in all interested at our issue. (also not, when I show him the booking, as attached) The rooms are rarely maintained... After a lock down season , it should be been much better ! So, the pool was clean and but we not get any food , even not snack arround and after lunchtime, also at evening Put Aircon at room not worked properly, so we must cset up o 20 C for got comfortable. I ask for Icecream , aswer was 40 thb , by checkout they charge me 60 thb ! ... So , only when you not have any other choices, than book this hotel... but I NOT recommend !!!
10 of us spent a night here before boarding a ferry at Center Point Pier ( 27 kms. away at Laem Ngob Peninzula, the Eastern Apex of Thailand) in order to Koh Chang ( Elephant Island)
A very quiet and pleasant place to stay at In-styled of Italian Tuscany Region both in design and architecture.
A healthy food at breakfast help us gain strenght to go on travelling. The staffs are so nice and helpful.
I highly recommend this hotel on your way to very many beautiful islands around this area ,e.g. Koh Kood or Koh Chang, Koh Kong. Trad City has many historical places and attractions . We went to the end of Sukhumvit Rd. (416kms. From Victory Monument in Bangkok) to Baan Had Lek, Klong Yai District, Trad, adjacent to Kamphuchea Border where the check- point and the Immigration Office stands .
I was for just one night on the way from Cambodia to Koh Kood. I can say that is a very nice hotel, clean and quiet. The desk girl was very ac tive to book for me the taxi and the boat to Koh Kood. I had a good exeprience.
Not stay first time. This time we have really bed experience. Very rude and not friendly reception man. We want to pay for room and he said book online. We need to book room front of reception. Room was terrible. We cannot stay there. Not good for health to much mold inside. Really bed smell. Room was not like on the pictures. Thru window you can see the wall. I'm very disappoint with the hotel management, I will never come back again and I will never recommend to my friends.
First picture are not the same and bed sheets very smelling in the room conditions very bed staff NOT friendly we not really happy with the service from the hotel the wall is pilling off because of humidity. NOT recommend to stay in this hotel.
L'hôtel a besoin de quelques rénovations.
Le personnel est super sympa et aux petits soins.
Petit déjeuner pas très diversifié, mais ok pour le prix.

Having travelled direct from London to Bangkok, I had hoped to make the 999 Bus from Ekmial Bus Station to Trat in time to pick up the last speedboat to Koh Mak. However, best laid plans and all that meant that a stopover was required for just the one night in Trat.
I came upon Hotel Toscana via various online sites and quickly decided this was the place to stay and I have to say, my choice didn’t disappoint.
For the princely sum of 850 baht (plus a further 100 baht for breakfast, about £23.50 UKI), I was treated to a Spanish Style room, clean, tidy and totally fit for purpose.
There was even a nice swimming pool just in case you wanted to cool off.
As for negatives, the walls of my room were literally paper thin so you heard everything everyone else was discussing/shouting in adjacent rooms. The Hallway was also a literal 'Voicebox', so no respite there. The bed was extremely hard and unforgiving and the TV control, near unworkable.
Location was a 15-20 minute walk from the limited bustle that was Trat Town but not so far that it proved a hindrance but then, I do tend to walk a lot whilst away so perhaps worth bearing in mind if mobility is in anyway an issue.
As a unconnected aside, I was actually attacked by a pack of dogs whilst on my way into town. Nothing major, more bark than bite really. The ringleader, an unyielding, black hybrid of a dastardly dog, decided he liked the smell of my shorts and wanted a piece, perhaps as a souvenir from the foolish Farang who passed by HIS territory/land! Lol.
Luckily, I escaped with both my integrity and shorts largely intact although on my return, I thought it best to arm myself with something a mite more defensive (offensive really, a big stick!), just in case.
Right on cue, out came the vocalised pack and whilst there was lots of noise and bashing of sticks against posts, there was thankfully little else and this time, my minor pantaloons (shorts), remained untouched by any gnarling gnashers.
Returning to the reason for this poor prose, there’s little more to add really apart from perhaps the obvious. Trat doesn’t really want tourists. It’s not geared up to it and I got the distinct impression it’s quite happy just being the way it is; a sleepy little town with a sizeable street food market at it’s centre.
As a gateway to Koh Mak/Koh Kud, some tourist footfall is inevitable as plans are bound to go awry and connections are missed but, as a destination of choice, I think probably not!
If I were to ever revisit the islands, then it’s highly likely that next time, I would likely fly into Trat from Bangkok which would negate the need for a stopover or, simply pre-book the bus/Minivan which I should have done in the first place!
However, as this review is about Hotel Toscana, I am happy to recommend the hotel on the basis of price vs accommodations offered and I should also add, the staff were very nice as well.
As always, happy and safe travelling.

Good owner, good staff , good location, good stay.
Great rooms, nice pool, big TV. Then no cable!
No English, 5 local channels. Unbelievable!
Why put nice new TV's then not get any real channels??
Even the smallest cheap guesthouses have cable.
Also trying to sell an expensive taxi to the pier.
Just go to the bus station.
Zeer prettig verblijf met goede bedden en heerlijk zwembad, op de terugweg van Cambodja naar Bangkok gaan we daar weer overnachten. Beslist niet te duur voor zo,n lokatie.
Nice hotel to stay night or two in the middle of nowhere. One restaurant across the street, next one +1 km. No balcony in every room, like they promises in their sides. Breakfast very basic.
Great swimming pool. Remote control aircon and large room but the bed was so hard.. fair for the price for a night or two
Just needed a place to sleep before heading to koh kood. Room were nice and clean with good aircon. Nothing in the areas. Had dinner across the street was nice. Pick up by koh kood express to the pier 40 bath.
