Gorgeous boutique hotel, stylishly decorated with very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. A real gem.
There wasn’t a hairdryer and I needed to ask for an iron and ironing board, but these were minor things. Our room was very small but just for 1 night so it didn’t bother us.
The location and the view from our room (No 7). The Breakfast was excellent and the dinner was very good.
There were no clothes hangers in the room upon arrival and the TV remote was missing. By chance we were able to park the car opposite for free but otherwise the hotel has no car parking facility.

Its a lovely building in a good position. The staff were very nice. Our dinner was pleasant. Bathroom was very nice and shower worked well. Beds were comfy.
The towels were torn and the bedroom could have had better drapes. We only had 2 coat hangers which was not really adequate.
Location, staff, comfy bed, sea view, bathroom, coffee, breakfast
Bedroom a little small and no parking a bit of a pain but can't be helped.
Very friendly welcome, and all staff we met were very helpful. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the beach and loads of restaurants, so couldn't be in a better location. Interesting old property, but has been tastefully decorated. Great shower in the bathroom! Good breakfast too. Make sure to check out Ramsgate Tunnels which are 5-10 minutes walk away - fascinating!
Our room was on the top floor (be aware there are no lifts, not a problem for us as we knew this in advance) which meant that is was very hot coming on the back of a heatwave. Breakfast was good, but if it hadn't been included in the Booking price, I think it would have been on the expensive side.
breakfast was very nice and to order.
just a little quicker
We had a great stay, Dasha was so lovely and really looked after us! Breakfast was really good, room was really nice and we had a wonderful sea view!
Staying in the loft is a bit hot during the summer, tho fans are supplied!
Beautiful property, well located with great views
Don’t have time for breakfast- service wasn’t until 8am and I had to leave at 8.30. Would have liked to have had it.
Lighting in bedroom (room 13) - the dressing table wasn’t terribly well lit for applying makeup and was tucked into a corner
Lack of parking
We were excited to stay at Albion house due to its history and our first time visiting Ramsgate… that excitement quickly dissipated as we got into the lift and down the basement. The stench was horrible and the dingy room had to be heavily infused to cover up the smell.
The staff advised that the plumbing has just been serviced. However, we were unable to use the shower due to blockage of drain and glad that we had only booked one night. It was the biggest inconvenience not being able to have a shower after a day at the beach. We also had some security concerns as the door towards the street wouldn’t lock so had to use a chair to secure the door.
The only positive were the lovely staff, great location and the delicious breakfast! We tried to make multiple calls prior to booking our room as we had some concerns however to no avail. We were disappointed and felt robbed as it was definitely not worth what we paid for. Do your guests a favour and get rid of your basement room or at-least fixed the smell/issues and some decency to spruce it up .
Great location and Alberta the owner came to check us at breakfast to ask about our stay. Very welcoming
Not so much didn’t like but to consider no lift and a few flights of stairs to the top floor. The view of the Marina was worth it!
