Our room was noisy, toilet door squeaked, single glazing meant the noise from the street came through quite loudly and the room next door had a strange noise coming from it, perhaps a radiator or something.
Great location - welcoming friendly staff- facilities were excellent - late bar! Just perfect!

If you have the top room be prepared for a lot of steep stairs.
Being charged additional for orange juice at breakfast was odd.
Lovely character building. Very clean and brilliant location. Crisp sheets, comfy pillows and mattress. Fabulous bathroom with massive bath and separate shower. Lovely tea bags and great coffee bags. Spacious room.

Beautiful building in a fantastic location. The views out to sea from the room were stunning and the space in the room was luxurious. We also loved the breakfast - lots of choice and absolutely delicious.

Beautiful historic hotel right on the seafront. Gorgeous views from the clean lovely rooms. Excellent, kind and attentive staff and fantastic breakfast at a very affordable price. Highly recommend.
Loved the staff, the property & the amazing location.
We love this place and its comfortable vibe. The coffee/drinks space is a nice place to relax. The dining room is a fun spot and the food was fine. The breakfast was really nice and included. Our luxury room was wonderful with a great view.
I have Parkinson's and did not know the lift was not working. It would have been nice to be told in advance. There is a general need for renovation and we had the feeling the staff know this. It is more warn than it was three years ago.
Lovely views, great location, comfy beds, delicious breakfast. All the staff are really friendly and helpful, including Brian who made our cocktails and Craig who did his best to sort out our issues with breakfast, and provided great service.
Some things in the room could have been better - the towels were frayed and there was no hand pump to get the soap out - very minor things but could be sorted with a little attention. The music was quite loud in the public areas. Breakfast orders were sometimes wrong or didn’t arrive. You are apparently only allowed one drink with your included breakfast and any refills or extra juices are charged. Parking is difficult and expensive.

The staff were attentive and friendly.
However, the accommodation we booked was the 'accessible' suite with a wet room. It was in the basement and the lift was out of order. To reach the room we had to use a staff staircase that started immediately behind the door, which was on a self-closing hinge, so needed constant pressure to enable me to get through and reach for the hand rail. The staircase had an immediate 90 degree turn. There was only one handrail that started at a reach from inside the door.
The hotel was situated on the corner of a busy road, with noisy traffic through most of the night - the police sirens really didn't help.
However, the breakfast was great!
