Comfy and smart hotel. Lift efficient. Seafront so amazing outlook
Pros:

Position and lift

Cons:

Meal service slow and had to ask for marmalade at breakfast time. Can as a dollop in a cup.
Bedroom comfy but drains smell in bathroom and flush had to be repeated

Beautiful seaview
Pros:

The sea view from my room was heavenly - loved hearing the waves at night. All the staff without exception were friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed super-comfortable - the old grand staircase very impressive...

Für 1,2 Nächte ok
Pros:

Great place to come and enjoy the ocean. Food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Pros:

Very close to the ocean . Views were amazing . Easy access to food and gas stations .

Cons:

It definitely shows its age . A little funky with the stairs going to some of the rooms . Hard to mange if you have walking / handicap issues.

Historic hotel with great views
Pros:

The room is spacious; the bed comfortable and clean. Wonderful view of the ocean. They have a lift so no need to fight a staircase. The bar and restaurant is lovely. Nice meals; and the included breakfast was awesome. Eggs benedict with smoked salmon. The historic hotel is a great adventure; but it is the excellent staff that makes the visit truly spectacular.

Cons:

Quite difficult to get into and out of the high bathtub. Maybe a staircase or replace with walk in showers. There is plenty of space in the bathroom for that sort of improvement.

Pros:

View from the room was, as expected, good, overlooking the sea.
The staff were excellent, pity they appeared to be 50% understaffed.

Cons:

Victorian building with little updates, terrible plumbing, poor shower and basic furnishings.
Poor check in (insisted on 4pm) with no exceptions maybe due to above.
No housekeeping for 3 night stay.
Breakfast room battleground, again, all maybe due to above.
Main complaint was the abundance of smelly dogs!!! Disgusting for general cleanliness and non dog lovers. Unbelievable that the practice is permitted.

Excellent Hotel and friendly staff.
Pros:

This hotel has 70 bedrooms and they are fantastic. It's an old hotel but has been refurbished to a high standard. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble and my brother and I stayed in a twin room which was massive. The breakfast was delicious and the view out to the sea across the road was excellent. Thoroughly recommend visiting this hotel if you are looking to stay in Penzance.
