As its a friendly hotel
Nothing not to like
Breakfast was very nice service was good
Instructions on putting the radiator on the radiation more information in the bedrooms for meals and services and service otherwise very good
Location was perfect, beautiful sea views. Room was big. Breakfast was good. Architecture of the hotel was interesting and some beautiful old furniture pieces.
Hotel has so much potential to be better and to be really grand, but all wonderful old furniture is disappearing and being replace with hideous looking new furniture that doesn't fit in at all. Bedding was plastic, hot foamy pillow and blanket, uncomfortable mattress. You have a beautiful old building with history, stick with it and try not to make it modern...
Das Hotel verbindet den Charme vergangener Jahrhunderte mit der Funktionalität der Gegenwart und das Personal unterstützt die Entschleunigung aus dem Alltag.
That it is a family run hotel all the staff are friendly and very helpful 😀
There was nothing to not like
After the original room allocation was changed, the second room, at the front with a splendid view, was much appreciated. The room was spacious. Staff service was good throughout and particularly in the dining room. Specials on the breakfast menu were also very good.
Original room allocation had a window that could not be closed. An alternative - and much better room in every respect - was substituted after raising the matter at reception. Breakfast, whilst good on 'cooked to order' did not have jam, toast or croissants on display.
Location and cleanliness
Nothing every thing good
Incredible hotel
Nothing
The location on seafront, v close,
Staff polite v good food and freshly cooked
Recently decorated, spotless, ample parking, including elec charge point. Nothing to much trouble, family run,so there is that added bonus of family feeling from staff.homely.
Ideal situation to explore west cornwall from here,
Disabled entrance from car park with stair lift to reception, a lift to other floors
Rooms well appointed, spotless.comfortable , spacious and superb views across the bay.
Dining/breakfast rooms overlook bay,a wide choice of food on menu.Sunday roast is one of best we have had.
??!! Nothing to complain about
This has been the hotel of choice when staying in Penzance for sometime.
It’s a little tired in some places but has tremendous charm with comfortable public areas in which to relax and take in the sea view.
All members of the staff were friendly and helpful.
It would have been nice to have had daily room service
Good selection of hot food!croissants would have been a nice extra!perfect location!the view of St Michaels mount!was icing on the cake/mount!🤗
The entrance to the hotel was set out with tables and chairs!it had a great view!but didn’t have much heating!
I love this hotel. Location is perfect, car parking fabulous, food and staff exceptional.
Nothing
Lovely location, good experience 👍
It is what it is, a nice value for money hotel which like all seaside locations has seen better days but is still well worth a stay and with a team who work hard.
This is an old hotel so expect noise from other rooms, bathroom extractor fans and creaking floor board. Rear facing rooms are just that so upgrade if you can afford to. Breakfast is good but if you need to get away make sure you ger there with to spare as it's not rushed.
Central and good value. Big rooms. Comfy beds. Parking and breakfast included. Large choice for breakfast.
Dated. Lots of steps.
