Pros:

Historisches Gebäude direkt am Meer. Ruhiges Zimmer. Sehr freundliches Personal bei Check-in/Check-out. Sauberes, funktionales Zimmer. 15 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof Penzance (direkte Züge mit Great Western Railways nach London bzw. Crosscountry nach Edinburgh, usw). Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis (Buchung kurzfristig in Nebensaison). Englisches Frühstück inbegriffen. Schöner Raum mit Blick aufs Meer. Restaurant für Nachtessen im Haus.

Cons:

Fürs Frühstück braucht es sehr viel Geduld bzw zeitliche Flexibilität.

The room was very spacious, and looked on to the sea. Was nice to have a bath.

Pros:

Breakfast offerings excellent. View unparalleled

Cons:

Dinner was disappointing and expensive.
The new chair covers in reception are not in keeping with the hotels ambience, colours too modern

Ocean views
Pros:

Location and old fashioned elegance .staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast room is a beautiful spot to enjoy the morning sunshine and ocean .room was clean and comfortable and a fantastic bathroom with lovely toletries provided .

Cons:

All to brief a stay ...could have done with longer .

The easy laid back vibes, they just let me chill!

Cons:

Everything was fine, maybe the shower pressure changes (less) when you turn up the temperature. That's all though.

Location was perfect, beautiful sea views. Room was big. Breakfast was good. Architecture of the hotel was interesting and some beautiful old furniture pieces.

Cons:

Hotel has so much potential to be better and to be really grand, but all wonderful old furniture is disappearing and being replace with hideous looking new furniture that doesn't fit in at all. Bedding was plastic, hot foamy pillow and blanket, uncomfortable mattress. You have a beautiful old building with history, stick with it and try not to make it modern...
