"Altes" Hotel aber lasst Euch vom Charme des Hauses und den sooooo sehr freundlichem Personal verzaubern.Es werden ,wenn möglich, alle Wünsche erfüllt.Die Lage ist trotz direkter Promenade ruhig und zentral.

Lovely hotel overlooking the promenade.
Pros:

We stated at the hotel for one night . July 2026 . The room overlooking the promenade. Lovely views . The room was clean but dated in decor . We had an en-suite bathroom . Shower over bath . Plenty of hot water . Staff were very friendly . We had an excellent meal in the evening. We would come again .

Ideal for a short stay in Penzance and very well located if you're catching the Scillonian.
Pros:

Great location. Good breakfast and dinner. Very good value.

Cons:

It's a Victorian building that obviously creates challenges and limitations. In that context, I thought it was great and would stay there again.

Room with a view indeed !
Pros:

superb view of the sea from our room, light airy and lovely curtains , nice tall ceiling and 2 comfy chairs to sit on and gaze out to sea. Nice large shower and toiletries.
Lovely breakfasts and good service .
Friendly receptionist

Cons:

Kettle in room could have been bit more better placed to connect to a plug...
Breakfast service was a little hit and miss - eg correct cutlery on table .
My scone with cream tea was a bit crunchy having been warmed up and a little bit over browned.

Whole place needs a refurb one day.

Tolle Lage, direkt am Strand.
Eine tolle Tage Auswahl an Frühstücksoptionen auf Wunsch wie zB. Eggs Benedict.
Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden und konnten nach Angabe mit genutzt werden.

Cons:

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber einen besonderen Charme.
Leider gibt es keine Klimaanlage an heißen Sommertagen.

For once I picked the right hotel!
Pros:

Hotel is on the beautiful Penzance promenade.
Crossing the road and you are on the beach.
You can see st.Michaels mount while swimming. Extraordinary views. Friendly people.
I enjoyed the endless sea views from the huge bay windows of my room. Great choice for my 6 days holiday in Cornwall 👍 Thanks, guys!🩵

Lever desverre på gammel storhetsstid.
Pros:

Beliggenheten og parkering for bil.

Cons:

Skitne vinduer og edderkoppspinn/ støvete i spisesalen.
Vi overnattet fra torsdag til mandag. I løpet av oppholdet var der ikke noe daglig renhold på rommene. Vi måtte be om nye håndklær og dopapir. Dårlig vedlikehold av bad. Enendig rørsystem mht dusj. Tok lang tid før det ble varmt vann.
Dette hotellet lever på gammel storhetsstid.

Nice views, and free EV charging
Pros:

Free EV charger was amazing. Staff were pretty friendly and very accommodating.
Sea view rooms, really are "sea view rooms"!
The whole bay right outside the window, with st Michael's mount over to the left

Cons:

On arrival our bathroom had a stink about it.
The bin had not been emptied, so we placed it outside the room.
Also there was no toilet paper in the room.
We phoned down to reception using the room phone but nobody answered 3 times.

So I went online and got the phone number.. called the hotel, then someone finally answered.
We got those problems corrected.

But then at bed time we untucked the duvet and discovered a blob of blood about 1cm square.

So we threw the covers on the floor and reported it in the morning.
Front desk staff said she would tell the manager and see what she would do.
But they didn't even offer any compensation etc.

The breakfast room is not very well stocked, we had to ask for more fruit and juice was always running on empty. It feels like you've gotta beg for them to top stuff up.
The staff are lovely, just slightly under trained on how to keep consumables topped up.
