It is what it is, a nice value for money hotel which like all seaside locations has seen better days but is still well worth a stay and with a team who work hard.
This is an old hotel so expect noise from other rooms, bathroom extractor fans and creaking floor board. Rear facing rooms are just that so upgrade if you can afford to. Breakfast is good but if you need to get away make sure you ger there with to spare as it's not rushed.
Central and good value. Big rooms. Comfy beds. Parking and breakfast included. Large choice for breakfast.

Excellent breakfast on day one but average on day two.
At dinner I chose a Caesar salad and received some lettuce with a light dressing only. When I complained I was given some grated Parmesan cheese to add. The chef clearly doesn’t know what comprises a Caesar salad. I complained again at the end of the meal and received some complimentary deserts and was not charged for the salad but my dining experience was very poor.

The breakfast was really great. The room was exactly as expected and the staff were all amazing.
Cold shower, was never really warm.
Bed was firm, which suited me. Although a single bed, it was generously sized, not a narrow apology.
Evening meal with a view out to sea was very good.
