Hotel Safira Magelang

First impression was not much since it appears to be old n bulky ( ME, too) building but offering a bargain. Room is clean, a bit dark but quite cosy. Shower with a luke warm water; anyway, ones should not ask too much with USD. 26.00/nite n they feed you with an excellente breakfast ... BRAVO.

We stayed for 2 days at Hotel Safira Magelang. At first when i saw this hotel, it looked creepy, because the exterior seemed old, the painting cracked and i saw some fungus on the outer wall of the entrance. I started to doubt about this hotel and felt a bit worried for my 2 days stay.

When i checked in at the reception desk, all was well and quick. The customer service so friendly and helpfull. They gave us mango juice as welcoming drink.

I got room number 222, and when i entered the room, i was so amazed because the room was so so spacy, so clean, and all furnitures in a very good condition. Very contraditive with the look from the outside. The shower worked well, both cold and hot water, clean towels, and sufficient bathroom amenities. I was pleased.

Breakfast was good enough: bubur ayam, jenang sumsum, salad bar, soup, rice, noddle, vegetables, sausage, pastry (not to many), pudding, fruits (only water melon and honeydew), juice (1 kind per day), coffee and tea.

I think they can do better to make more variety of foods and beverages.

The dining room was a little bit small so during breakfast time, i have to wait sometime to find a table.

I think what Hotel Safira should do is repainting their entrance, make it more modern and sophisticated, because first impression is so so important in building brand image.

As for budget hotel that costs only IDR 590.000/ 2 nights stay (IDR 295.000/day), i overall satisfied with it and would come back again and also recommend it to my relatives.

I visited this hotel on Vesak Day 2017, in my opinion i like this hotel about the price and good service. Clean, quite, andgood facilities. One thing condition that i dont like just, i cant smoke at rooms. But overall, is okay. Recomended place for backpacker.

This Hotel is very comfy room, i'm surprised with facilities at room, WOW!!! i thing selling point this hotel only at ROOM.
but don't expected to much for the breakfast, the taste below. if you want stay at this hotel, my suggest, please take for room only.
for the staff, I hope must be more communication with guest and more smile.

I stayed in deluxe room for one night . I'm so dissapointed with the facilities in the room there's no slipper, trush bag, and locked the bathroom didn't working . I hope the staff must be more communication with guest...

I had a comfortable stay there. The building is semi-classical Javanese interior with modern bedroom. I enjoyed here since it near various famous location in Magelang. The breakfast taste good with a few variation of menu.
So bad, the wifi connection is so so slow especially in the bedroom.

Cons:
- WiFi-signal was too weak in our room;
- For a three star hotel the breakfast was far below average. Not much too choose, poor quality, slow refill, dirty floor/counters etc (staff size too small for breakfast area).
- Capacity/power of AC was a bit too small for the large/high rooms
- Staff not very enthousiastic, a bit uninspired and 'afraid' to talk.
- Hotelrooms were too close to areas with different purposes (rooms for business meetings, receptions, wedding etc). Therefore sometimes disturbances of other guests who are not staying in the hotel.
- Smoking in hotel/areas for general purposes (hallways etc) should not be allowed

Pros:
+ large and quite high rooms. Nice interior.
+ facilities in room (tv, fridge, watercooker) were OK
+ impressive spacious entry. Owners seemed to like woodcarved objects. Spacious hallways.
+ Magelang was a nice, clean place to visit. Good alternative to the immensively popular Yogyakarta.

i think safira hotel is good hotel, the hotel have a good staff and helpfully.
and food so delicious. And deluxe room i think enough to comfort. and the location so strategy, so near with down town, military academy and kyai langgeng park.

When we were booking this hotel by phone, they advice expensive room price & we were think the hotel is good.
But when we had arrieved there, the room is small (not suitable w/ the price). This hotel almost has no facilities (like pool/fitness/spa), meal/drink service not 24 hrs, breakfast menu not variaty but main menu are deliciuous enough for Indonesian taste. And then environment surround the hotel are very quiet.
