Lovely ---- will definitely stay again!
Pros:

Lovely, boutique-ish style hotel. Nice decor, comfortable bedding, roomy lobby for lounging. Good drinks at the bar. Close to downtown Nyack. Convenient, free parking.

Cons:

The bath towels were disappointing. Why put super cheap towels in that nice bathroom?

Pros:

I stay here often, as my Dad lives around the corner at an assisted living facility and I fly in from California to visit. The location is so convenient. Easy to get to Westchester, NJ, NYC.. near tons of shopping, etc. The restaurant is good and they have a nice pool and a gym.

Cons:

They really need to put in an automatic door open at the front entrance. I know they have an ADA entrance around the side, but really should have it at the front too. I’m not handicapped, but it always bothers me to have to manage holding the door open while bringing in heavy suitcases. It would feel more professional, inclusive and welcoming if they installed an automatic door at the front entrance - that’s an investment they need to make. A minor thing is to have an overhead light in the room, rather than only lamps and pump hand soap instead of bar soap for hands - it gets messy since there’s no soap dish.

Cons:

I stay here when I visit NY. This particular time, I wasn’t too pleased. There was an issue with the room door. So we were moved to a smaller room. I didn’t pay to be moved to a smaller room. I would have paid the difference to be moved to a bigger room. I didn’t get what I paid for. I like this hotel, but I am really disappointed with this stay. Another thing, the parking situation was horrible. Hotel guests had no parking spots because of social events that are in the hotel. Shouldn’t there be dedicated parking spots for hotel guests?? I had to wait close to an hour for a parking spot to free up. This really has to change.

Because of the cold water and the 100$ hold for incidentials I can only give it a 6 out of 10

Cons:

Hot water never showed up. We were charged 100$ at check in, even though we already have given them our credit card. It was supposed to be for incidentals, and we are waiting to get it back

The hotel was fine for a one night stay, but would not choose it for extended stay.
Pros:

Overall appearance of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel was well maintained. Staff was friendly. There was no hairdryer in our room. When one was requested it was promptly delivered to the room.

Cons:

No cup in bathroom or near coffee maker for water if we didn’t want to buy the Fugi water. There was no guide services and when “hotel info” was accessed on tv there was a “no info” message.

Pros:

Breakfast was very good. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Excellent we’ve done that before and everything was great.

Cons:

It was just a little busy checking in and we had to wait for a while for our room and actually never got a text that our room was ready which was a little bit unexpected. I had to go in and check and I was told my room was ready, but never got a text.

Except for the lighting in our room & the noise created by the air flow 24/7 thru the duct work

Rooms & facility were clean, beds were comfortable, air conditioning & heat worked well. The amenities were nice.

Cons:

The lighting in our room was not sufficient. It was difficult to see comfortably even when all the lights in the room were on. Even the lighting in the bathroom was too dim to put on makeup.
The air that flowed all day & night through the ductwork in our room on the 4th floor was very loud, even with ear plugs.

As a former resident of Nyack, it was nice to stay at the Hotel Nyack & walk about town.
Pros:

Room was maintained. Staff was attentive and friendly, and helpful when needed.

Cons:

My air conditioning unit was extremely noisy and made it difficult to sleep consistently. The elevator wreaked of weed.
