Shangri-La Residences and Apartments

We had a great experience with the staff but unfortunately the cleanliness at the residence wasn’t up to par for Shangri-La standards. I was quite disappointed that the room came with a smoke smell, despite it being advertised as non-smoking. The room itself wasn’t entirely clean. While it did have a comfortable bed, and lovely staff, I don’t know if I would recommend to others due to the high cost and only satisfactory conditions of the room.

The place is located in a convenient location. However, the property is showing its age. Our room was spacious, but it could use a good facelift. The staff members on the other hand are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast service at the lounge is also very good, although the seating space is quite limited. The gym facility and the pools are not of ideal size, especially the skypool on the 42nd floor was so tiny I would not even want to get into the water there.

So overall our experience at this hotel was mixed. Friendly staff and good (but not execellent) services, while the facility can be a lot better to match the brand.

Old property. The first room they had allocated to us was supposed to be non smoking but it was smelling like a shisha bar.

Amazing stay and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Shangri-La to any families traveling to Dubai. 5-star all round!

The location is amazing, easily accessible by metro to rest of Dubai. The staff from the doormen to the waiters to the chef exceptional team!! Would highly recommend and would definitely return!!

Very good place to in Dubai, I’ll come back on my next trip

Amrit the cleaning guy is an amazing person

I expected a 5 star and it was a 3 star. The whole 20th floor and our room smelled like cigarettes with plug in purifiers in the halls. No sound proofing so woke up to the prayers outside on the loud speakers at 5:30am everyday. The washing machine cord was duck taped to the ground around around the toilet in the powder room.
The positives were the lobby was beautiful and concierge and check in staff was friendly, efficient and helpful.

From an American standpoint and someone that is very meticulous. I sent 5 of my adult children to Dubia ages 22-25 and from the moment they arrived they were in complete awe of the property! I received numerous videos and pictures of the lobby as well as the apartment and it superseded all online photos. My children were raised with the finer things and this was definitely on point. I can’t wait to visit.

The studio apartment condition doesn’t compare to the hotel which is well maintained. There was unpleasant smell from the beginning in the room and halls. Better to stay in the hotel rooms than apartments/ studios.

Old bathroom, no standing shower, sliding and dangerous bathtub to be used as a standing shower. After my complain, they switched me to another room but smaller than the executive apartment I had rented.

Amazing staff, amazing location amazing room

My whole experience was absolutely amazing, staff were friendly and the hotel looked and appeared to be well kept clean. Management were well professional and i loved being part of the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It made me feel more valued and part of the hotel family group.

Have just stayed here for a week with my 2 boys aged 12 and 9 and also brought a second family too who have 3 boys aged 11, 9 and 6.
The service is exceptional. This is my second time at this hotel and I cannot fault it. The breakfast is fantastic and caters for everyone. Mohammed Farid the assistant manager was welcoming and ensured our rooms were perfect for what we needed. The newly refurbished suites are beautiful and rooms are spacious. The view of the Burj from the room and the pool is insta worthy. Really would highly recommend the hotel . Its clean, spacious and the location is spot on with shuttles that run regularly. There are fab restaurants in the hotel but if you want a quick bite to eat there are 24/7 eateries right outside the hotel. Will be back for my third visit next year and be bringing more families to have the experience we have had!
