The place is outstanding. The staff are very friendly Daniel, Sofia, Erick, Carlos, and Ismaeel. The beach is clear they remove seaweed. The food & drinks are amazing and delicious. The rooms are clean and has working AC. Also the hotel is at very good location with shops, cafes, bars around. Overall stay is outstanding and would definitely recommend and come back again.

We loved our stay at the Alaya Hotel. The whole team were very attentive. I’d particularly like to mention David, who was very attentive, professional and took great care with my son’s food allergy. But the whole team genuinely cares about making guests feel at home. We’d love to come back.

The Alaya was amazing. We had never been to Tulum before and didn’t know much about what we were getting in to— the staff at Alaya were there as a resource every step of the way. Rodrigo, David, and Carlos were especially helpful in providing amazing recommendations, booking reservations for us, and accommodating requests promptly and with so much hospitality. It truly felt like home for the 6 nights we stayed! Beyond the incredible staff, the hotel is beautiful, food is amazing, and the beach is unreal. We would definitely book this spot again and have already recommended it to our friends!!!

The staff is the best especially David he was very attentive for my special requests and never let us down! The view is amazing and the rooms are top notch! It is very calm and very relaxing I totally recommend!

My son and I came to celebrate his 19th birthday. We loved it here! Our room and the grounds were beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff was wonderful-- Sofia and Daniel and the others made us feel welcome, and were very sweet about my son's birthday. Everything went smoothly and easily from the planning stage through the entire trip. Highly recommend!

My partner and I stayed at Alaya to celebrate our anniversary, it was also our first time in Tulum. We picked Alaya for its eco-friendly standards, beautiful rooms, and direct beach access. It did not disappoint!

The very first night we were greeted by Daniel and given an introduction and were shown up to our room. It was beautiful, and they had given us a little treat for our celebration, so kind!

For the rest of the stay, all the concierge staff (Daniel, Sofia, Erikk) were extremely helpful, attentive and quick to respond. Can’t thank them enough.

As well, Marcelo and the kitchen staff were the best. Marcelo greeted us at every breakfast and made sure we were taken care of at the beach, shout outs to him!

The only thing that wasn’t optimal was that the very first night our unit didn’t have water, however the concierge was advised and they got to work on it immediately - we had water the next morning.

Overall - beautiful stay (amazing breakfast included, great beach loungers, restaurant with delicious food, swimming right in front, free yoga and qi gong, great location) would highly recommend Alaya!

We had a wonderful time visiting Alaya for two days in March. The property is beautiful and the service was amazing. Marcelo and Macario made dinners and breakfasts very enjoyable. Great food, attentive service, and fun conversation made our time very memorable.
Tuna tostadas at the beach for lunch should be on your to do list while you are here.

Alaya is a perfect place to rest and recharge. The staff was kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We stayed in the beach front accommodation and watched the beautiful sunrise every morning. That was a treat. Alaya is secluded and quiet.
The staff was very attentive and even brought us a special bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to celebrate our anniversary.
The restaurant serves delicious local food and the staff is happy to accommodate any special requests. Everyone made you feel like you are part of their family, but they also respect your privacy.
We did yoga and a sound bath which was very special.
Our room was attended to everyday and the staff helped us with anything we needed. We highly recommend Alaya if you are looking for a special place for a beach front getaway. We’ll definitely be back!!

Alaya was the host of a mindfulness retreat I attended, and it was the perfect setting to unwind and reset. The beach is the beautiful spot to sit and watch the sunrise and the yoga space was like being in a tree house! The rooms were comfortable and the screened in deck was a nice addition for private space. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and the meals were delicious, healthy and of the local vibe! The resort is a little off of the main drag of loud bars which was a perfect spot, as they are still walkable if you want to get there. I would stay in this sanctuary again if returning to Tulum!

Sweet place. Great front of house staff. Lovely simple bungalows with all needs met. I had 4 sweet kittens living on my porch or close by. That was a treat and you are close to amazing restaurants and food trucks.

Our stay at Alaya Tulum was truly unforgettable. The property is stunning and offers a beautiful connection to nature that makes it feel both peaceful and special. The staff, especially Sophia and Daniel, were incredibly kind and attentive—their hospitality was exceptional from the moment we arrived until checkout. The owner was also very warm and welcoming, which made the experience even more memorable. We will come back.

It was in a beautiful setting right on the beach and backed by the jungle. It was very chilled and quiet. We are not fans of blaring music while sunbathing, reading etc, so we were pleased they didn’t play music.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly, always asking if we were happy and if they could do anything for us. The concierge team were very informative and found quieter restaurants that didn’t pump out the music.

Comfortable, friendly and relaxing stay with plenty to do!

My stay at Alaya Tulum was amazing, from the moment I booked my stay I was contacted via WhatsApp by the service desk to confirm transportation to the hotel and to answer any questions I may have. Upon arrival me and my girlfriend got a couple complimentary drinks and even a welcome bottle of sparkling wine in our room.

The property has a nice natural setting and full of palms, trees and climbing vines amongst the rooms. There are little notes around pointing out wild critters that may pass through the grounds at night (raccoons, coati, stripped iguanas and opossums). The beach is kept clear and clean each day and offers a great swimming spot at low tide. Or you can chill on the lounge chairs with coconuts or drinks from the hotel.

The hotel not only offers daily yoga sessions in the mornings but every now and then meditations. The yoga was a pretty great way to stretch out before a snorkel trip. There are also many excursions you can book through the hotel like the biosphere tours, snorkelling, ruins tours and cenote visits or you can rent some bikes and go do some cenote hopping.

The staff were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Erik and Sofia were always at the front desk to help with questions or to make arrangements. Marcelo always made me and my girlfriend feel at home at Alaya Tulum if we ordered drinks he would happily offer to bring it to our rooms if we wanted and reccomended some great drinks.

We had an amazing experience. I have a special connection to this place because I lived here during the pandemic. It is so magical to watch the sunrise from your room. The stuff is so sweet and helpful.. anytime I ask something they would reply within five minutes and take care of any desires. I would definitely recommend this place. The location is amazing too. It’s so close to so many restaurants and shop.
