Mooi, maar…
Pros:

Leuke indeling van de familie villa

Cons:

De badkamer kan wel een opfrissing gebruiken, douche met houten planken, vieze hoeken in de badkamer.
Het zeewier en de stank die erbij komt, maar daar kan het hotel niets aan doen natuurlijk. Tulum was ook een spookstad met belachelijke prijzen, maar dat staat los van het hotel.

Most gracious and beautiful place with amazing hosts.
Pros:

The rooms were clean, the views amazing. The place is quiet and everyone was more than accommodating and nice.
Just a place we are telling our friends about and hope to return.

Tulum is so commercial now. We likely won't be returning. Old Tulum is where my heart is.
Pros:

It is old classic Tulum style and it is quaint and botique.

Cons:

But certain things were not working. A/C is not robust, no shades on the front window so everyone outside can see into the bathroom, cracks allowing mosquitos into the room, LED lights not all working so stairways were extra dark and hard to navigate in the evening. Juice watered down at breakfast, trying to be sold on tours when we just wanted more local spots. Prices are like hawaii all over Tulum now so be prepared for that.

Trip of a lifetime!
Pros:

Excellent experience. Room was beautiful and the service was 100% . Sofia our concierge was so helpful and took care of several asks and special trips she organized for us, made it a lifetime memory! Will definitely be going back and recommending to my friends and family!

They gave us wonderful recommendations on how to make the most of our vacation, from places to visit to experiences to try, making our stay even more authentic and unforgettable.

We especially appreciated the tranquility of the place, the attention to detail, and the positive energy that can be felt in every corner. It is the perfect destination for anyone looking for an authentic Tulum experience, away from the chaos, while still having everything needed to feel comfortable and truly cared for.

Relaxing Tulum Stay
Pros:

We loved staying at Alaya, the staff was great and David made sure our drinks stayed full while we relaxed on the beach. The room are beautiful, clean and the sound of the ocean was very relaxing at night. The location was in a great spot, we could walk to a Cenote and little restaurants and bars very close by.

Tree house jungle with kids!
Pros:

The place feels like a treehouse jungle, absolutely well designed. Enjoyed sitting out in the sunroom the most. When we were there, there were tons of seaweed, and unfortunately we couldn't swim. We were looking forward to the beach here. I came with my kids, and because we couldn't go into the beach, we went to the beach clubs along tulum and tried different swimming pools. If Alaya had a pool it would've been amazing! The staff were very kind and helpful, they are always smiling and offering assistance.

Great hotel in an amazing location
Pros:

This is an amazing place to stay. Rooms are spacious clean and authentic. Lovely terrace to sit on outside room. Direct access to beach with loungers. Great breakfast in covered dining area. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Easy walk to lots of bars and restaurants (but expensive). 20 minute indrive taxi into Tulum Centro. No pool but you can use the one in the Aquamina or Zebra if you buy a drink/food. So peaceful and relaxing. Local supermarkets within 5 mins walk. No fridge or tea making facilities in room. They do bring a hot drink to your room in the morning. Room service available via whatsapp

An amazing experience
Pros:

Our stay at Alaya has been amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. A small number of rooms means it stays quiet and relaxing, with the beach literally on your doorstep. Great location where it’s a bit quieter, but a very easy walk to all restaurants/bars in the hotel district. We also made great friends with the two beautiful stray pups that hang out on the beach nearby. Absolutely recommend staying here!

Beautiful place. Wonderful staff.
Pros:

Nothing was too much for the staff at this laid back paradise. From the smiling and ever attentive Marcelo at breakfast, through to Carlos and Edwin at the beach bar, everyone was so keen to ensure we could sit back and relax. Eric and Sophie at the front desk sorting everything out for us, from transport to reservations and when our holiday risked ending with the stress of our flight being delayed several hours, Daniel kindly allow us to stay in our room so we could freshen up and leave Relax at the end of a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

A beautiful place
Pros:

Stayed at Alaya Tulum and honestly didn’t want to leave. Super chill vibe, right on the beach, and feels way more relaxed and less hectic than other spots in Tulum.

Rooms are beautiful, you fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, and the whole place just feels really well thought through. Staff were lovely and not over the top.

Great food, amazing setting, and just an easy place to properly switch off.
Would 100% go back.
