It’s a small beautiful boutique hotel with a beautiful beach.

Een echt ‘Tulum’ hotel op een hele goede locatie. Verder vriendelijk personeel. Vanuit je kamer loop je zo het strand op. Bakken water staan netjes bij de ingang om je voeten af te spoelen.

Rustique, beautiful and amazing staff (super responsive through whatsapp). Absolute recommend this hotel, would definitely go back! We had an amazing time with our dachshund running around freely!

Staff, location, breakfast, and food were great

The hotel is small and intimate with beautiful rooms. Marcelo was always attentive and made sure we had whatever we needed to enjoy our beach time. All the staff were friendly and helpful! Sofia and Daniel took care of all requests with smiles!
We have visited Tulum many times and our stay at Alaya was one of the best!
We would definitely stay there if we visit Tulum again!

We had a wonderful experience at Alaya! The location, rooms and beach were beautiful. The best part of our experience was the staff. Marcelo provided excellent service and was the absolute best! We can’t wait to come back again.

The hotel itself was beautiful. The staff were exceptional and very kind. We really enjoyed the location, the yoga, the daily coffee, and overall ambiance of the hotel.
We had a very weird experience checking out where we were asked to pay $57 for a new towel and a new sheet, because they could not get the makeup off the towel. We were three female travelers and were in town for a wedding and birthday celebration. There was no signage or indication that we couldn't use the towel to wash our face. I've never in my life experienced being charged for using a towel and getting makeup on it. It felt very strange and manipulative. Beware of using the towels for washing your face if you don't want to be charged. We were also charged for "blood on the sheet", which none of us were bleeding; to be charged for this was absurd. In the end, they gave us the "sale price" of 50% off. Bizarre.
It's a beautiful hotel, but we felt very knit picked and cornered at check out.

Alaya has been incredible. The service is outstanding and the beach is absolutely stunning. You can easily spend the whole day lounging in the super comfy beach chairs, hiding under an umbrella, playing in the waves, and sipping margaritas—basically heaven on earth.

Loved having morning coffee and ginger shots delivered to the room, and the yoga classes have all been different but amazing. It’s included for guests, though tipping is appreciated. Breakfast (included add on) has lots of great options and consistently excellent.

Our room is gorgeous and has everything you need—little touches like filtered water and a beach bag go a long way. Housekeeping is on point with daily cleaning and nightly turndown. I’ve felt completely safe both on and off the property. The location is perfect: a quieter stretch of Tulum but still just steps from all the action.

The hotel is exquisite! Super cool vibes, great location, amazing service, food and drinks. The room was phenomenal! Loved it all!

I dont know where to start, but: we LOVED everything about Alaya. The people were all so nice and helpful, Sofía, Daniel and all people who were at the reception were super responsive and always polite and friendly, most of all: positive. We felt safe, pampered :)) and could relax. The hotel itself is beautiful, private and felt like being in a paradise spot. If we come back to Mexico one day, we said both: we go to Alaya then. Don't even think twice about it: just go and get to know a piece of heaven 🤍 the breakfast was good too, you can even enjoy it at the beach! And everyday we had coffee and biscuits delivered to our porch for free! Ah and even when weather is bad: you can do different kinds of Yoga or other offers of the hotel and just do stuff you probably never did before. Best experience ever, really! Stayed at Alaya with friends for a relaxing vacation week. Excellent service, atmosphere, food and drinks. The beach was beautiful. Clean sand and warm water. Our room was just off of the beach. Very comfortable, tropical. Highly recommend Alaya if you’re staying in Tulum

The Alaya Hotel Tulum is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture and peaceful surroundings that make it feel like a tropical sanctuary. Everything is spotless — from the rooms to the common areas — showing how much care goes into maintaining the hotel. The team is super helpful with recommendations, reservations, and every small detail. A perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable stay in Tulum.
