This was like an old peoples care home. Not impressed, the food was very poor
Comfortable bed was about the only positive thing I can say about this hotel.
Reception staff quite abrupt answering phone calls while we were trying to check in.. Room outdated and shower didn’t have any pressure (R107) Cold tap supplied look warm water which was nice brushing ur teeth in.. Carpets from reception up to room all stained.. Breakfast wasn’t any better, food was terrible, self serve tea / coffee out of a machine very budget hotel like.. When paying £220 a night I would expect premium facilities, service and quality throughout.. All in all quite disappointed and I’m not a person who complains easily… If nothing else can your handy man put a bit of felt on the door at the top of the stairs from reception to the first floor rooms.. The door constantly banging all evening was so annoying.. 😡
The beds and room were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was lovely with lots of options
Staff service was slow, they returned to you multiple times to recheck the order. My husband went out for a cigarette at 23.50 the door locked behind him which was of no concern at that hour he understood why. There was a number to ring to re enter he rang it numerous times and no one answered it. He eventually managed to get the attention of the night porter through the window after some time. When he said I rang the number on the door the porter replied. Sorry I dont carry the phone. It wasn't an unreasonable time around midnight for people to be still returning to their rooms having been out.
Beautiful hotel. Bar is lovely to sit and have drinks on. We attended a function and staff very helpful.
Rooms were a good size and very comfortable.
Breakfast was very good.
Did feedback on leaving - they had work going on and they let the workmen start at 8am, which I thought was unreasonable when you have guests staying - either that or warn people in advance.
Also, after the function we were unable to get either snacks from the bar or room service so maybe bring your own if you like a snack before bed.
The most friendly staff, beautiful hotel and delicious food
Value for the double room wasn’t good it was very very small
Visited the hotel on Sunday evening for some food, everything was great until I asked for a container to bring the food which my granddaughter hadn't touched , was told by a male member of staff that food was not allowed to be taken out of the hotel, I told him I never heard of this in all the hotels I have eaten in, and was told that's the hotels policy. I went to the other restaurant where the carvery was being served and asked a member of staff their if this was the hotels policy. She said it was but would sort something out for me so I returned to the other restaurant where we got our food A fee minutes later the same male waiter/ bartender approached our table and asked for the plate of food as he said the other lady had told him to sort it out, he shortly returned with my granddaughters meal in a plastic container. I then went up to pay the bill and again delta with this same male waiter/ bartender who printed out the bill put it inside a wallet then said he needed to check something
set the bill down near the till in the wallet and left me standing waiting to pay for the meal, after approximately 5 minutes with the other 2 male waiters/ bartender one of them got a call on the radio to hand me the bill which was not changed, I honestly believe he did this because I got bringing my granddaughters meal out.
I sent an email giving the hotel a chance to reply and 3 days later nothing. Sorry Tullyglass hotel if that's how you treat your customers especially ones visiting the area shame on you. In future the Galgorm Hotel will be getting our customer where people are treated with respect and will offer to box up any food you want to bring home
We stayed at the hotel as wedding guests. The wedding venue, food and staff were exceptional. The accommodation was terrible.
We paid £205 for a residence superior room. The room we got was not a residence superior room. The windows in the room had obscured glass, they looked out onto a flat roof with other rooms looking in. The electrics in the room were not safe, the wall socket was a round pin socket and there was a 4 plug extension lead on the dressing table. The bathroom floor had a drain which we considered to be a tripping hazard. There was some sort of brown liquid seeping up through the bathroom tiles. In the corridor leading up to the room the floor was on 2 levels with a single line of yellow tape along the step to highlight the change in floor level. We heard several thuds during the night with guests tripping/falling down the step.
Our room temperature was good. The food at the main meal was good.
Very uncomfortable mattress. The tea and coffee wasn't very nice at all. Couldn't get a jug at the bar for water. The food when we arrived was poor - sandwiches were not fresh. View from the bedroom window was non existent it was akin to sleeping in the bathroom. From the noise of the boilers we probably know why.
Staff was friendly, lovely venue and decor
My card became inactive at one point and struggled to get into my room
Location, building and decor, friendly attentive staff.
Really poor water pressure in room 107. Shower was barely more than a trickle. The 8oz steak burger was poor. I wasn’t asked how I would like it cooked. It arrived very well done and the battered onion ring was like a crisp!
Rooms were very comfortable and food in the restaurant and for breakfast was very good also
It felt a little rushed at times - when we arrived we were told would have to leave the bar table by 5 which was fine but told then when dinner done a while later we had to leave our table - there were no other available seats at the time for our group some of whom were in their 70’s/ 80’s so wouldn’t be suitable to stand in the bar area although a space was found. At breakfast I was aware service stopped at 10am at that time staff began clearing and asking the room of people if they wanted to take anything more etc to do so now. I understand that areas need to be cleaned/cleared before lunch but it just felt that at all times we were almost in the way and not as relaxing as I hoped it would be. We have stayed at other hotels in the past and I haven’t experienced this at breakfast before anywhere else. I’m not sure if it was because it was NYE.
lovely meal at the carvery and breakfast was very nice as well. Good range of food and you got plenty.
None,everything fine.
