The meal was great as always. We had a fabulous sea view from our room.
Excellent
Breakfast was good although I had advised in advance that I was gluten intolerant and they had no suitable cereal. Some was obtained but not in evidence until we asked each morning. The location and grounds were very impressive.
See above. The hotel had an old fashioned air and some of the plumbing just functioned.

Drab. Needs substantial investment to improve. Bathroom door would not close. Plumbing is ancient. Hotel needs total refurbishment.

Just lovely
The hotel was warm, clean, comfortable and friendly. Owing to my illness I suffer occasionally with walking (especially up hills and stairs, but not so much down!) and I was fortunate enough to have a parking bay close to reception, which was wonderful.
The staff were all very helpful, friendly and polite.
The food was excellent, we had cod bites with tartare in the bar and in the restaurant the celeriac amuse bouche was delivious. My seabass was perfect as was my husband's pork loin, we will definitely stay again.
Unfortunately we were running late so didn't have breakfast....next time .

There was no diner table available. A hotel of that level should imperatively keep tables reserved for the hotel guests! Disapointing…
Room was very dated & poor value for money. The steps down to the ensuite were positively dangrerous! Safety restraint on window broken as was the toilet seat. As for the parking arrangements - shambolic.
