Overall great, cleanliness could use some help

Room was spacious and fairly clean with strong AC and amazing water pressure. The pool was really nice, and we regularly saw beautiful parrots fly overhead while we swam. Staff was lovely once you get past the check-in where they were pretty aggressive about selling tours. Restaurant and bar were great, and the breakfast was perfect for an active day. Unfortunately, their policy is to charge $20/hour for late check out, but when the electricity and water went out 3 hours before our check out leaving us without a shower that day, they offered no compensation or extra time to clean ourselves. Really, the only flaw of this place was the reception staff. Otherwise, lovely place!

Personnel was efficient, but a few items need to be addressed.
Shower had a very slow drain. I ended up having 2” of standing water. Bathroom sink didn’t have much water coming out of spickit
I saw 2 spiders in my room.
TV didn’t have any stations that was speaking English. I tried to watch Netflix and Utube. Wouldn’t work.

The people here are amazing, from the front end to the kitchen, and the surf school on site. Can't wait to return!!

Had a good time here... the staff was exceptional. Pool was nice and warm but not too warm. Bar and food was enough to not have to leave. It also has its own beach and surfboards to rent, if you surf.

Over all a good place for the price. Staff at the bar and restaurant are wonderful.

The place is a hiding Gem. Please do not let the entrance turn you off. Is totally different as you cross the small bridge. Beautiful pool, bar restaurant by the pool and walking to the beautiful beach

Loved everything about this property. Well worth the money. They will definitely see me again.
Service was awesome, food was good, pool was great and right on the ocean was a plus.

The property looked beautiful, but had a horrible musty odor in the rooms. If you have allergies, I would not stay here.

Super cute hotel right on the beach, the reception woman is the sweetest person and helped us a lot! This would be good for a younger person I think, bar/pool area plays music pretty loud all day and a little late into the night. Definitely some ruckus outside from other guests late. Only other downside is there is no blankets on the beds, it just a sheet. Otherwise, very cute vibes and simple functional rooms

Older beach hotel. Very convenient, lots of surf shops right outside. Rear exit right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff!

I was not okay with being locked out without someone opening the gates 2 night of the 3 that we were there. The girl at the front was not pleasant but all of the other staff was super kind. There were no blankets, just 1 sheet to sleep with. A lizard was in our room. No elevators or help to get our bags up to our room. The bar closed before 9pm. I usually leave good reviews but I can’t for this place. If I had not paid up front, I would have stayed somewhere else.

The ocean view was beautiful and staff was very nice!

Unsafe, Dirty, and Nothing Like the Photos

We booked this hotel for 4 nights and left after the second night due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions. The property is not at all as pictured on Expedia. Upon arrival, we saw cockroaches on the walls, mold in the bathrooms, outdated and musty rooms, no blankets, and a malfunctioning air conditioner. The pool was filthy.

This is not a place anyone—especially families with kids—should be staying. We spent days contacting Expedia and the hotel, only to be told by the hotel that it was up to Expedia and by Expedia that it was up to the hotel. In the end, the hotel’s management denied the refund request, despite the manager, Lenardo, originally saying they would work with Expedia.

We had to pay out of pocket to check into another hotel.
Avoid this property at all costs.

Would not recommend for a family.
Hotel needs a lot of work
