Staff were nice and the room was clean but having dogs in food areas was off putting

The staff were lovely and the parking was great.

Cons:

Having dogs in the bar area where food is put us off from staying there again. Some people get allergic reactions from animals and also having them around food isn’t hygienic. Paying a premium where people impose their pets into areas and onto people don’t have pets for a reason isn’t right.

Great hotel and location just be ready to wait for lifts and staff
Pros:

Friendly staff and very comfortable rooms

Cons:

They had IT issues so problems with issuing keys and sometimes the queue at reception can be long andbtakes time to be seen . Also if your the new wing there is only one lift which is slow amd if busy you can wait ages for the lift to arrive. We ised the life near reception and walked across to the other wing.

The AC was not working on the night I stayed, making the room very uncomfortable. The bathroom was also extremely poorly designed, the toilet was squeezed between the shower and the sink, leaving almost no room to move and making it very awkward to use.

To make matters worse, after reporting these issues to Booking.com, I was offered a refund of only a couple of pounds, despite paying around £140 for the night. I found that completely inadequate given the problems I experienced. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Amazing
Pros:

Lovely all round, could be 5 star. The spa was great my only wish was that it had beds for lazing on to spend longer in there. Bedroom windows can open which is rare and the fresh air helps have a better night sleep than the average hotel. Lovely entrance, reception and bar/breakfast area. Felt luxurious.

Staff in Bar & Restaurant seemed pre-occupied with their own issues rather than acknowledge and serve the customers
