Patong V Hotel

It was closed during Songran festival and we had to go to a different hotel overpriced even though we booked in advance

I would not stay here if you paid me, I cannot understand how there are any good reviews for this place (seems very suspicious).

The room was not as advertised AT ALL.

The room was DIRTY and SMELLED.
The sheets had stains.
The pillow was so sweat stained it was completely yellow.
The shower had barely any water coming out of it (you would be better off squeezing a bottle of water over your head).
The fridge did not work.
The safe did not work.
The air conditioner dripped all over the bench where the cups for coffee are kept (so keep that in mind if you use any of those amenities) and dripped onto our things.
There were lines of ants through the room.
The furniture/amenities are all damaged/chipped/cracked/un-usable.
There is no swim up bar.
There is no room service.
There is no laundry service.

The staff outright lied to me - they told me I could move to a different room the next day, and then the next day they said they didn't have any other rooms to move me to for another 3 days, then they said they would upgrade me, but they just moved me to another room that was exactly the same quality as the original room.

This property is down a random alleyway and next to a bunch of warehouses, so there is always noise. It is also noisy throughout the entire building, you can hear everyone coming and going at all hours of the night.

I was depressed the whole time I stayed here and moved as soon as another hotel had a free room.

Go stay anywhere else and avoid the mistake I made.

I had a wonderful stay at Patong V Hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful and my room was serviced on a daily basis. The Hotel is very well placed and the beach, bars restaurants and shopping were all very nearby.

I did not like that i had reserved a room one month prior to flying to phuket and upon reaching the hotel I am told they do not have my reservation. I didnt stay a day at patong v and instead had to be taxied to 2 other properties over the course of my stay in phuket.

Nice staff, nice rooms, walking distance from everything and quite.

This was our second time staying at Patong V
This property has new owners and the Charm of this hotel is leaving. We arrived st 7:40 pm to a dark lobby, odd we thought as our last visit it was lite up and inviting. They have added a pool table to the lobby. The room was the same as last time just a little more tired looking. The. Bathroom shower sprayed water everywhere and needs a new shower head, both the towel rack and the shower soap disk are barely attached to wall. The AC worked great but the WIFI was horrible. The pool was clean but the few lounge chair pads are terrible, torn and need replacing. This hotel now is only to be booked on bery budget pricing. We left after three night stay and would not pay Thier increasing holiday prices. Since leaving we have found nicer charming budget hotels all with pools and better locations and prices. The front desk girl was still the same as two years ago and remembered us, we feel sorry for her as we will not return to Patong V in the future.

Helt ok, hårda sängar som dom flesta andra hotell i Thailand. Stor fördel är längst in på återvändsgata, så ingen trafik och massa onödigt spring. Ingen hiss är bra att veta.

Außenpool ist eine etwas größere Badewanne, Lage etwas ungünstig, da nebenan ein Getränkegroßhandel ist, der bis morgens um 4.00 Uhr am Arbeiten ist.
Man mußte immer das Schild an die Tür hängen, damit der Toilettenmüll geleert wurde.

Nice recently refurbished hotel. Clean, modern and bright. Good location just off the main street so no noise at all. 10 minute walk to the beach. Owner very helpful and friendly. Bike hire available.

We had a few minor issues: Air Con kept cutting out. Told 2 members of staff but nothing was done apart from turn it off and wait for a while! We were also told by a staff member that the free breakfast was just fried egg and bacon and that toast would cost extra. I'm vegetarian so this was no good for me. After standing my ground, she finally swapped the bacon and gave us toast too. Don't know what the fuss was about but it put a bad twist to the end of our stay there.

Would recommend.

Horrifyingly noisy.

Great value for money hotel. Close to the beach( about 5-7 minutes ) and about a 15 minute walk into the "Hub" of Patong. Would stay there again. Darren and his staff were most helpful also.

I had a good stay at Patong V Hotel. The reason I booked this hotel was because from a previous review I read that the WI-FI was good which was very important to me as I did a lot of work during my stay. The WI-FI didn't disappoint and was a steady 15mbits and was never down. The rooms are nice too and the hotel has a nice pool. It's a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minute walk to Bangla Road. I would stay here again.

Our stay for one-night here at the Patong V Hotel was pretty decent for the price.
However, it definitely could improve on many standards.
Staff spoke did NOT speak english which is always troublesome when traveling foreign countries.
There is no elevators in these buildings so carrying your luggage up the stairs is an adventure in its own. (they should totally have staff to do this for you)
And not to mention the neighboring area of Patong Beach is horrifying.
So loud, so many drunk people around, not a couple or family friendly local area.

On the plus side:
Hot water in the showers
Cold A/C
And great WIFI internet

So all depends on what your looking for.

Quiet end of town, close to the beach,

Friendly staff. Spacious room. Located in a quiet area.

We stayed in a two bedroom sea view suite and paid in AUD $3,339 for two weeks including buffett breakfast (this was a sale price!) The room was great - big balcony, clean two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room area.

The hotel has 2 pools, the main big pool on the ground level and a smaller pool on level 3. Out of the two weeks we were there the main big pool was open 5 days and closed the rest! The pool was filthy, water was green - Disappointing! Everytime we asked when it would be open it was always the same answer, "tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow."
So we went to the pool on level 3. Not as nice, but the water was clean..sort of anyways. There was broken pool tiles all around the pool and in the pool the tiny blue tiles were breaking off! When you would sit on the ledge it was so sticky. the reason for this was that they never cleaned up the pigeon poo! It was filthy! Not a pool for adults and especially not a safe environment for children.

The gym is located on level 3 also..if you can even call it a gym. It has 2 treadmills that do not go past level 6..so not possible to run on it and one step up machine. It then had one weights and when you would pull down the handle bar to do an arm work out it would fall on your head because the weights attached were so rusted it wouldnt stay! Disappointing.

B Breakfast was disappointing. They would pre-cook the eggs, then when you asked for new warm eggs they would reheat them! unedible! Dont stay here, not worth the price
