We stayed at the waterside for a nice relaxing spa night away to celebrate our anniversary and it was just faced with problems.
First of all we had to book our dinner and our one hour spa slot which made us instantly feel like we were pushed against the clock. We also had to book a time slot for the buffet style breakfast which meant having to get up early for it.
We got to our room, no view & no robes. I completely understand paying extra for a view but after what we already paid you would think we would have something better than the view of the car park.
We went for dinner & asked about the robes and we were told to just get them at the spa. So I had to go down with all my things and my jeans on to the spa instead of my robe like everyone else in the hotel was doing.
The one hour in the spa went so fast and then we were back to our room for the night.
I wanted to go for a bath and none of the water was warm so I had to call reception and they had to get maintenance to fix the hot water issue.
This then happened again in the morning & maintenance came up to our room to fix it.
For nearly £300 a night, breakfast but no dinner included. And only ONE hour in the spa….
I have been to many other spas where you can get access 7-9pm and also in the morning. When I called reception to ask about using the spa in the morning they were wanting to charge me extra.
I am extremely disappointed in this & would not recommend.
My husband and I stayed overnight as a celebration of his retirement. All in all the stay was lovely, but not as nice as when we stayed 5 years ago. Our room(309) was not one I would want to have if staying again. The noise from the road could clearly be heard for the best part of the night. This was very unsettling.
Dinner was nice. My starter was vegetables in tempura batter and it was to die for. My main course was a chicken supreme which was beautifully cooked and presented but a little bland. Breakfast is buffet style which is fine but nothing beats having a cooked breakfast made to order for you. Everything from the buffet was luke warm.
All staff were helpful and friendly. The Waterside is a unique place, the setting is perfection. We had booked an hour in the Si Spa! This was very enjoyable.
Location was amazing overlooking beach and sea. Hydro pool was fabulous, so warm and views were excellent. Tried the experience showers, sauna and steam room. Treatment room was calming and clean. My therapist Marie was amazing, asked what I would like from the treatments (back, neck &shoulder massage and foot /leg treatment) and completed perfectly. After the treatments was taken to the acoustics area where I was give headphones with soothing music and comfortable bed to relax. Fabulous. We had afternoon tea in the spa lounge which was great. All the staff in the spa area were welcoming and knowledgeable. Overall had a great day at the spa and would definitely return.
The location is excellent and the views from the rooms are stunning
Having no fridge in the room, and no proper coffee facilities in the room is a let down for the price you pay
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic and the room was very comfortable.
The buffet breakfast was a little disappointing and there were no easy public transport options.
I had a wonderful overnight stay at The Waterside Inn and Si! Spa last weekend. From the lovely welcome on arrival to enjoying the fabulous spa facilities especially the outside pool, to the dip in the sea 2 minutes away and coming up the path to the spa to find an outside tap for the first time ever north of Spain to a delicious dinner and attentive staff and then to be looked after by Juliet the General Manager at my early breakfast slot before catching the train back to Glasgow, everything was perfect. This is a very special place and I can't wait to go back.
The whole experience was great. The spa is pristine, the outdoor hot tub was the best feature and my treatment was very good and professionally done. Will definitely be back
Visited the Waterside Si Spa for the 2nd time yesterday with my Mum, upon arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming showing us around and explaining all of the areas of the spa and how to access them.
The Spa its self provides a relaxing experience offering, hydro pool, sauna, steam room and luxury showers and experiences.
We enjoyed a hot drink around the fire pit with beautiful views of the Isle of Arran and the surrounding beaches.
We booked a Rasul treatment which Derives from the Arabic word ‘Rassala’ which means ‘to wash’, the Rasul experience uses a private spa room, a steam infusion and a soothing clay application with refreshing shower experience, a must try if you want baby soft skin!
Spa experience! 10/10

We had a wee date day here yesterday and it was amazing!
Arrived early and checked in, girl on reception was lovely. She showed us to the locker room and then round the spa so we knew where everything was.
Place is spotless and the set up is beautiful, so well done.
The views from the spa out to the beach and sea are amazing, could’ve sat and looked out at it all day, so relaxing!
My favourite was the outdoor pool. Sitting in the warmth, with the bubbles on, sun on our faces and looking out at the views…perfect!
We had afternoon tea after the spa and it was delicious!
All in all it was a perfect wee day, so relaxing! All the staff we came in contact with were so lovely! We’d definitely go back…maybe stay over next time too! Thank u!
View and scenery.
No steak or Sunday roast which was disappointing…..limited places to sit and have a drink.
Lovely staff welcomed us to the venue and gave a full and thorough explanation of all the facilities. We enjoyed our time at the venue, it is very well designed and in a stunning location. It was not at all overcrowded.
