Fantastic hotel the restaurant staff and reception are so helpful and friendly lovely and chilled afternoon food was great 😊 would definitely be back
Room was excellent. Sea view perfect.
The location. Excellent parking. The room was extremely comfortable. Toiletries are of good quality. The view from our room 311 was amazing. The new spa is lovely. We didn't do treatments but did do the thermal experience and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The hotel has recently been renovated. It is a shame that the beautiful fire they had has been replaced. There are not enough sitting areas anymore. The breakfast is also very disappointing. Used to be made individually. Now, it is a buffet that was cold. The continental option is nothing short of shocking.
The view was amazing, beautiful at night. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant food was very good with excellent service by the staff, though a bit pricey.
The double glazing was ill fitting so the room was noisier than it should be.
The venue is amazing...funky seashore cool vibe. Bedrooms are beautifully inspired by the amazing views, comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms and the spa is great.
But afraid the food in the restaurant let's the rest of it down hugely. After 1st night having dinner we ate elsewhere as was so bad. What a shame. Wouldn't go back unfortunately!
The new addition of the spa area was a lovely touch. So beautifully designed and the outdoor pool was so refreshing and relaxing.
Always have a great stay. That’s why I keep returning
Staff friendly
Very clean
Perfect for walks along the beach
Si spa very good
The location of The Waterside Hotel & Spa is perfect 👌🏻Stunning views of the beach and a minutes walk away. The Si Spa was unreal and provided the replenishment for my soul that I needed! It wasn't too busy and having a designated time slot ensured you had enough time and space to relax. We booked a massage last minute which the member of the Team was able to squeeze us in for. The highlight was the Hydro Pool with stunning views of the beach😍 Our Room was in the new wing of the hotel and was absolutely stunning! Clean, mega comfortable, modern and again with beautiful views of the beach! We really enjoyed our stay at The Waterside Hotel & Spa and can't wait for another visit, especially to the Spa!
Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience with the restaurant for dinner. With my meal having to be sent back because it was over cooked. However the manager was excellent, and dealt with this kindly and professionally. Offering me another option and informed me that the Chef was dealing with the poor service of the meal.
Amazing hotel and spa. Staff amazing. So looking forward to returning soon x 🩷
Nothing
The first question that pops up on this review was, how was your breakfast? To be honest I don’t know as we never had breakfast due to the only time available was 8am. My wife and I were on a date night after finally getting a babysitter for our 2 yr old. We arrived around 8pm after a nice dinner and an impromptu stop to cineworld to watch scream 7, the night was going great until we arrived at the hotel. We were advised that the only time available was 8am for breakfast and there was nothing the staff could do to help, We laid £176 for a night away including breakfast however was advised that no refund for the breakfast would be given. We then had the most “enjoyable” sleep as the room next door had a dog who barked every 20 minutes. As we left the hotel we advised the receptionist who wasn’t in the slightest interested in hearing our feedback. We won’t be returning anytime soon
The facilities were fantastic, a lovely , relaxing environment. Very clean.
was a lovely experience staff amazing.
wasn’t
to happy how we where treated in the spa we never got asked for a drink .
also a girl was a bit rude in there on arrival.
never judge a book by its cover,
We had a large room with sea view which was lovely and very comfortable. Large en suite and shower. Very clean.
A bit of a long walk to the room through at least 6 fire doors which isn’t easy with bags. Breakfast wasn’t great. Hot food was cool as everyone kept leaving the hot covers open. Not enough serving spoons, so to get mushrooms I had to use a spoon covered in cold haggis and beans as all in same area. Very difficult to reach fruit juices reaching over pastries as no room.
Near the beach with lovely views
Food was not very good, meat was like rubber and very dry. Ordered 2 drinks from the menu but didn’t have either in stock.
Morning of departure construction work was going on at the opposite end of the hotel but there was a man in a hi-viz jacket gazing in through our window
Cocktails and food excellent.
Long walks to rooms and shower a little under pressure.
