Very relaxed hotel great for a getaway. Very clean staff great. Food was amazing

From the moment we walked in till we left it was a great experience.
All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food served was very good maybe a bit large in the portions, but I suppose you can't please everyone as some people like a large meal.

And the inside has been done to a very high standard, and nice atmosphere to have a meal.

Would highly recommend it

Just returned from a 3 night stay , the rooms were lovely and very clean. All the staff were friendly , the breakfast was tasty . We had Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious.

Overnight break with family and friends which we all enjoyed. The Hotel was very very nice and the decor throughout the hotel was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and professional when dealing with our party. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone thinking of booking a stay there. The food was excellent with a great choice on the menus.

Food is delicious, nice atmosphere and excellent services. The hotel rooms are ok, a little bit noisy as the main road is next to the hotel and the rooms are a little bit old but very well cleaned.

My wife and I attended The Loans Inn to celebrate my 71st birthday and just to enjoy some ‘together time’. This is our local eating venue and we tend not to look anywhere else because we are always very happy with the food quality and the high standard of friendly and efficient service. As usual, we enjoyed a lovely meal in very pleasant surroundings.

This was our 4th or 5th visit to The Loans Hotel. The hotel is lovely, beds are cozy, rooms are nice, and they even throw in a couple of Tunnocks chocolate biscuits and a couple of bottles of water. Dinner was excellent as always and the staff are lovely, very attentive and welcoming. Fully cooked Scottish breakfast in the morning round off our most enjoyable stay. They provide serial, juice and toast as well. Anyway, we'll be back again in the near future.

What a great hotel , really nicely furnished and the bedroom was very spacious and well appointed

We stayed at The Loans in on 27/9 and was greeted by lovely Amy she was so welcoming and seemed to be happy at her work considering she'd been there 7am.Our room was huge and really nice even had a bottle of prosecco chilling which was part of our deal but still impressed with the ice bucket. Our evening meal was delicious and well presented as was breakfast I had eggs Benedict and my only moan would be that eggs were not runny enough for eggs Benedict but was still very tasty. I would definitely recommend and I would love to return. There's a big beer garden and think it would be lovely in the summer. Troon is nearby but you'd need the car or take the bus. When we checked out it lovely Amy again and started again at 7am and was still asleep cheery she'd be an asset to any business. 🎄⛄🧑‍🎄🤝

My husband and I were in on Christmas Day and we were so looking forward to it but unfortunately we were very disappointed..

Starter was melon which was so hard to cut into , it shot off my plate

Main course was one slice of turkey, one roast potato, 3 small Brussel sprouts, which were hard , one carrot and small portion of mashed potato .
Dessert was meant to be cheesecake but we never got that . Something different .??

Sadly we won’t be back , wasn’t worth the money .

Food was lovey, staff & service were excellent. Definitely will book for next year well worth the money . XXXxxxxxxxxxx

We had a lovely Christmas dinner together at The Loans Inn. This was our first meal out for Christmas in a restaurant instead of at home. We all enjoyed our meals and it was the perfect setting for the day. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Stayed 1 night, thoroughly enjoyed. The staff make this hotel, food was also very good. Had a great nights sleep. Definitely recommend.

1st time visiting this restaurant was absolutely delicious and we will be back some of the company we was in have been before but a 1st for us

Sunday lunch was excellent. Very efficient, friendly and helpful staff with the addition of a festive, relaxed atmosphere - perfect for a Christmas visit.

Lovely village hotel with excellent restaurant - good choices on the menu that can cater for all - includes gluten free options.

Dinner with Santa. Poor experience. Inedible food and poor service. Not the best and most definitely won’t be back in this establishment.

A terrible experience and awful food. The mains arrived and were warmish, not hot at all. The burger was sent back as both the burger and chips were stone cold. The waitress did say we could heat the chicken dish up, in heinsight I should have as the chicken was tough , cold and inedible as it was All plates were hardly touched. We did express our concern to the waitress and she said she would pass on our comments. So disappointed in the meals we didn’t want to order dessert. We ordered coffee and hot chocolates. The hot chocolate again was warm not hot and had been sitting on the bar for well over 5 mins before being brought to our table as we could see them. We asked twice for the bill and eventually got it. Asking the waitress if our concerns and comments were passed on she said yes, the chef passed on his apologies however she didn’t come back and tell us this. She also said she told the manager. On leaving we spoke to the manager and he had no idea that we had complained. The bill was paid and we left, he said that he would forward on an email to me but when I said it it was the wrong spelling of my name and email provider he said ok, not altering it or making a note. So I would very much doubt I will receive an apology. Completely disappointed as we have saved to come out for a Xmas treat and for my daughter to see Santa and we paid £123 for cold inedible food , poor service and being lied too. Very poor , expected more from your establishment , clearly couldn’t cope with the amount of people and meals in such a short space of time. Let down by such uninterested staff, not an ounce of empathy nor any attempt to make our experience better. Won’t be back.

Went for a meal , brisket massaman curry, delicious and reasonably priced . Nice atmosphere and pleasant surroundings.

The friendliest staff (including Amy T) made us feel welcome and made sure my friend felt special on her birthday. The food was really good and the bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. We would definitely come back again.
