The way the hotel looked.
How close we were located to the stairs. Was pretty loud with banging. And the tapping sounds kept me awake all night. Also the window across from the bathroom scared me. If someone was to stumble they could break the window and fall.
Excellent location away from all the tourists but perfectly located for easy access to all you want to see. Nearby public transportation gets you everywhere. Plus, hotel is across from the Golden Gate Park with museums, live music, gardens and more activities than I can list. Super cool thrift stores (many!) around the corner, and great places to eat 2-3 blocks away. Also an Irish pub 2 doors down. Quaintly decorated. Room was large and comfortable, cute bathroom. Very clean. And you couldn't find more helpful staff. Shout out to Jay!
Breakfast. Recommend you grab a coffee and paper, to start, then head to one of the lovely nearby breakfast spots, such as Zazies.
Loved the location off Haight Street and across the road from the Golden Gate Park. Beautiful old style with character - lots of staircases, views to the Park. Very generous with the wine reception daily, breakfast, tea, coffee, bottled water and snacks if required.
Loved it.
Ideal location for ballet/concerts/plays downtown. Near a safe paid parking lot for worry free long term parking. Quiet area near the park.
N/A
I can’t say enough good things about the Stanyan Park Hotel. I needed a room on short notice so I could stay close to my child in the hospital, and the staff went above and beyond to make it happen. They were friendly, prompt, flexible, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process.
In a moment when everything felt stressful, they stepped in and made things easier. The room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and their kindness made a real difference.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco. They really saved the day.
I love the property! The staff is amazing especially Sean.
Very comfortable beds!
My only complaint this time was the heat in the room. It was a very hot day in San Francisco and the heat stayed on. I know it’s not usually a problem, but it was very warm in our room.
Very personable staff. Cookies upon check in, wine reception from 5-6 and a very good continental plus breakfast.
Our room was small, but I was expecting that.
We booked the biggest suite, expecting decent customer service. We were made to wait for 2 hours after standard check in time, for the room to be ready, with zero communication from the hotel staff or management, only to be told there was a plumbing issue that they were still cleaning up (gross!). When we finally got to the room, after missing our dinner reservations, the wall to wall carpet was wet (so gross!), again without any information from the management. I tried calling the manger twice, without any call back or specific information about how they will make this right. The poor front desk staff was just stuck in the middle trying to cover for the manager, who is totally unresponsive because " it's his day off". I expect a big discount on the $800 per night room, but I'm still waiting on the manger to call. The lack of communication is unacceptable and completely unprofessional.
The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was simple but with big variety. The location is near the Golden Gate park and Haight Ashbury. There is access to hot drinks 24 hours a day.
I'm not sure they had air condition but it wasn't necessary. Not close to the city center.
Clean room. Breakfast and evening wine were a nice bonus
Was expecting scrambled eggs
The price exceedingly expensive
