Breakfast was very good. The attendants were very attentive and kept the buffet full. A nice assortment of breakfast foods. Everything was clean and in a good location.
The Shower didn't have a grab bar in it.
Bed was comfy. It was clean
The cleaning staff left carts and supplies in hall very messy. Door to our room was damaged had to push hard to close. Sink faucet handles were to big and hit wall so water wouldn’t shut off. Shower was a joke. No water pressure. Sink had more water flow than shower. Remote only worked half time and was held together with electrical tape. For $200 a night it’s not worth it
Convent to the highway
The AC had a little trouble with the fan noise. Probably needs to be looked at.
Staff were very friendly and the family all enjoyed the breakfast. Employees were very attentive to keeping the front areas clean.
Wish the bathroom had a fan. I think this is every persons nightmare. Only given 4 towels for a booking for 6. No full length mirror/no mirror other than the bathroom mirror.
Super clean and good amenities
Clean and bright
Location was hard to find via Google maps
I really liked it because my family and I were able to rest comfortably.
Everything
After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left my iPad in my room. I called the same day, and the assistant manager, Ashlyn, confirmed they had it. She asked me to purchase and email a USPS shipping label, which I did immediately. She confirmed she received it and told me it would likely be mailed on Monday.
After receiving no tracking updates, I called to check on it. I was told the shipping label was no longer where it had been left, so they assumed the package had already been mailed. Days later, there were still no tracking updates, so I called again and asked for a manager.
The person I spoke with was incredibly rude, telling me, “I never saw it. It’s your problem. You should keep track of your stuff. I have more important things to do.” I later learned this person was actually the general manager David Allen.
After contacting Choice Hotels customer service and filing a complaint, I spoke with the general manager again. This time, his attitude was completely different, and he said he would investigate and contact the assistant manager. I never received a follow-up.
When I finally reached Ashlyn again, she told me she had kept my iPad locked in the office all weekend and personally handed it, along with my prepaid shipping label, to the general manager on Monday.
My iPad has never been returned, and no one has been able to explain what happened to it after that.
What is most upsetting isn’t just that my iPad disappeared after the hotel acknowledged they had it—it’s the lack of accountability, the conflicting information, and the unprofessional treatment I received from general manager David Allen.
I expected honesty, communication and a sincere effort to resolve issue and received none of them.
Just stayed here for two nights, July 17th and 18th, and have stayed on occasion since the property opened in 2016 as I have family in the area. I was never so glad to check out of a hotel! Upon checking in was advised the elevator was out of order, which came as no surprise as it is about the worst hotel elevator I’ve ever encountered even when it was brand new. I was advised by the clerk that management was not holding anyone to their reservation and that I could cancel without any charge. Where I was supposed to stay if I canceled apparently was not their concern. I’m a retired commercial insurance inspector and sadly, this place now reeks of DEFERRED MAINTENANCE. I was advised when checking out that the property was just sold and the new owners have big plans, but that does nothing for those of us who paid good money to stay there. It’s the little things that cost nothing to do right that if not done makes you wonder about the big things. My room (305) was near the end of the corridor, so I used the steps at the far end of the building. There is trash can just outside the exit. The can was overflowing when I checked in on Friday at 5:30 and was still overflowing when I checked out on Sunday at 10:30. And then there was my room. Either the building has settled or the door frame has been damaged, but attempting to open and close the door was just about impossible. (Housekeeping doesn’t make note of these things?) Upon entering the room I was greeted from above by a roaring sound that never dissipated. Possibly a compressor on the roof in need of servicing? The wall AC/Heat unit apparently has not been serviced in forever, due to it sounding like a jet engine outside the window every time the compressor kicked on. Even with ear plugs, the vibration from the unit made sleeping impossible without disengaging the AC and just running the fan continuously. The shower water pressure was terrible and attempting to keep the water temperature from either scalding or freezing was also impossible. The TV remote looked like a first generation remote used by Time Warner/Spectrum decades ago and was held together by electrical tape. There’s a Motel 6 adjacent to this property and if I didn’t know any better and if I hadn’t spent $385 on my two nights (with no offer of any adjustment!) I would have thought that was where I stayed! I’ll be looking around the area for new accommodation before my next trip to the area and if it is not too late you should do the same.
I am checking out as I write this review. We stayed at this hotel because it was the host location for our family reunion. Overall, the hotel was just okay, but several issues made the experience disappointing.
When we arrived, the elevators were not working, so we had to carry our luggage up to the third floor. In our room, the bathroom sink had very low water pressure and drained extremely slowly. The lighting in the room was also dim and had an unpleasant yellow tint.
The most frustrating issue happened after checkout. We spent a little time in another family member’s room before leaving, and my son realized that he had forgotten his large satin pillow. We checked the family member’s room and determined that it must have been left in our room. However, the pillow was not in the room and had not been turned in to the front desk as a lost item.
The manager was not helpful and repeatedly stated that no pillow had been found. Her dismissive response was irritating and made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. The pillow did not simply disappear. While it can easily be replaced, the larger issue is the lack of accountability and concern regarding a guest’s missing property.
This experience left me feeling that the hotel is untrustworthy. Guests should be able to leave personal belongings behind accidentally and feel confident that hotel staff will handle the situation honestly and professionally.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The elevator was broken. And water pressure in shower was awful. I have lung issues. Taking the stairs almost sent me to the ER. That was a terrible ordeal. The staff didn't seem to cate about the elevator being down.. i understand the issue, they showed no mercy. I think next year we will find some other hotel. My sister has arthritis and had a very difficult time getting up the stairs.
I could sleep somewhere.
the elevator wasn't working in a motel that is traveled to only by people coming off an Interstate highway..by car. People traveling this way always have stuff that needs to brought in from their car for safety of valuables and to discourage cars being broken in to. They did not notify us. Fortunately we arrived early and got the LAST room on the ground floor since I was traveling with my 90 year old mother. Breakfast was truly awful as well.
Staff was super friendly. Especially young girl over night. Breakfast was great. Lots of options and hot foods.
Shower didnt drain good at all. Elevator was down. I had to carry 4 month old twins and all belongings upstairs. Breakfast tables not cleaned enough. Pancake mix needs "burped" often but there is no way to know that unless staff tells you.
