Casa Maat At JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa

This was our third time visiting since 2019. We’ve always had great service whether it’s by the pool, for meals, or at the spa. Staff remember who you are, what you like to drink/eat, and any special celebrations. They are quick to anticipate that you need a drink refill or the umbrella moved, and are always polite. The quiet, relaxing atmosphere is perfect if you don’t want a lot of noise or chaos. Our butlers this time were Abraham, Jesus, Ricardo, and Dassaed. All of whom checked in on us multiple times throughout the day to ensure we had everything we needed. Zitlali and Adrian were amazing by the pool and Omar and Antonio were our dinner servers. So kind and attentive. I don’t think we’ve ever encountered anyone who wasn’t the best in customer service. There were a few things we overlooked like loose tiles in the pools or not enough food covers on the breakfast fruits, but none of the negatives outweigh the positives. We will continue to visit at least every year or two!

My friend and I first stayed at the JW Marriott in Cabo a few years ago. During that trip, something went wrong, through no fault of the hotel, but it still impacted our vacation. However, what stood out more than the problem was the way things were handled. Gustavo, who was the manager at the time, personally took responsibility and went above and beyond to make things right. That gesture turned what could have been a disappointing experience into the reason we decided to return.
Since then, we've come back every year. This time we stayed at Casa Maat, the more exclusive hotel within the resort, where Gustavo is now the manager. His level of care is even more impressive now. He was incredibly responsive leading up to our stay, answering every question and sending photos of the rooms. He even personally greeted us us upon arrival! Throughout the trip, he checked in often and consistently went above and beyond to ensure a flawless experience.
It wasn't just Gustavo - the entire team reflected the same high standard of hospitality. Luis and Adrien at the pool were fantastic and made every day relaxing and easy. The butlers - Abraham, Ricardo, and Jesus - were always available when we needed anything, attentive without being intrusive.
The resort is beautiful on its own - but it's Gustavo patience and dedication, matched by an amazing team, that made the trip unforgettable. They are the reason we don't even think about staying anywhere else in Cabo.

Just got back from an amazing week at Casa Maat and it was incredible. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in which all your needs are attended to, then this is the place. The Butler service led by Jesus, Abraham and Ricardo was attentive to our every need. They took care of signing us up for activities at the property, making dinner reservations at local restaurants, arranged excursions and had great suggestions for us! They were so personable and pleasant! The private pool at the Casa Maat was relaxing and provided great views of the beautiful ocean and crashing waves.
Every day started with a large breakfast buffet with so many choices including cook to order eggs, omelets, french toast, and pancakes. Fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, yogurt, fresh squeezed juice and smoothies! Around noon they offered ceviche and tortilla chips followed up with fresh guacamole and chips around 2PM. The Casa Matt lounge would also offer dinner each evening – multiple courses with a choice of 2-3 entrees. We did venture off property for dinner a few times, and these are a number of great local farm to table restaurants nearby – We thoroughly enjoyed Acre – for both the food and atmosphere! Don’t be scared off by the rough gravel road to get to the local restaurants, it is well worth the effort!
The views of the morning sunrise and daily sunset were not to miss! As a Casa Maat guest you had daily access to use the spa amenities each day for free. Spa services were, of course, extra – but we enjoyed using the hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and spa pool each day! We did get a massage and facial at the spa near the end of our week and it was wonderful!
The service by both the Casa Matt lounge staff for meals and poolside service was top notch! Thanks to both Adrians for such excellent and attentive service – always making sure we had cold water, beer, wine or soft drinks throughout the day! Thanks to Omar and others for such great meal service, and a special thanks to Luis for setting us up with comfortable chairs and many towels each day and for keeping the umbrellas set just right throughout the day! We did not feel a need to rush down to the pool to claim our chairs each morning, there were always spots available regardless of when our time at the pool began.
The rooms were some comfortable – we sleep great every night and enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing as we slept! Take advantage of the daily activities offered during your stay! We had a fun time at our margarita making class – getting to try different kinds of tequila and making a delicious margarita! We also enjoyed the cooking class in which we made a delicious salad at Café des Artistes! Both classes were a fun way to get to meet and connect others Casa Maat guests. The gym was large with many options, and we enjoyed our Yoga classes! While we missed getting into the ocean at the hotel (the beach is not accessible and the combination of strong currents and rocks make it too dangerous to swim), we did enjoy our boat ride and snorkeling excursion and hot to enjoy the ocean and tropical fish that day!
We can’t wait to return! Adrian may be the hardest working yet happiest server we have ever had the pleasure to be served by! And Jesus Infante is definitely someone you will remember! He was on top of everything and was so kind and hospital – a true gem!!

Absolutely amazing experience . Staff was there 24/7, the separation between kids and adults was perfect if your on a honeymoon or couples only (no kids)… food was immaculate ..5 star will be back

Our stay here was a delight!! The staff in particular were amazing and made the trip extra special. They definitely went above and beyond. Jesus, Antonio and I Ricardo come to mind but there were so many lovely people working to make our stay lovely. The ocean and garden views from our very nice and well laid out room was perfect. Very comfy bed and pillows. And the food gets a thumbs up too. We plan to return, it was that good!!

Casa Maat has a team that provides excellent service and resort. The weather was perfect, the views were amazing and we really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely love the JW Marriott and especially the boutique hotel within it, Casa Maat!! Staff, facilities, amenities are excellent! Jesus and Ricardo took care of us the whole time as well as the rest of the staff! The Casa Matt area was great for couples and a more and quiet and relaxing atmosphere yet you still had access to the whole resort and the rest of the amenities we’ve been going to the JW Marriott in San Jose Del Cabo for years and will definitely continue returning, we love this place🏝️🍾🥂

The location, service, staff and amenities are all outstanding. Our butlers Jesus, Ricardo and Abraham catered to our every need and were always readily available to accommodate us. The staff in the restaurant, Anna, Montsy, Zena (sp?) and Adrian were fantastic and the team effort was really seamless and they all bent over backwards with a big smile on their faces. Luis, the pool boy, was so kind and courteous and took great care of us. Our housekeeper, Julia, kept our room in immaculate condition and left a few cute surprises for us. Antonio in the downstairs bar makes the best margarita in town and he is quite the funny man! The spa is amazing and the whole staff at Cafe des Artiste treated us like royalty. There were so many more staff members that made this for such a memorable experience, just too many to mention by name but I do hope they all get the recognition they so truly deserve. Everyone here made my birthday so extra special and it made for another fantastic memorable trip. We will definitely be back - and just not soon enough! Thanks to all who made this happen.

We had a beautiful time at the Casa Maat in Cabo. Jesus and his butler team took care of our every need. They made our dinner reservations, arranged for hotel activities, and answered all our questions. The breakfast staff was amazing with made-to-order eggs and pancakes and juices. The pool side service from Zitlali was exceptional, and Luis and pool team were very attentive. He came over to move our umbrella every 20 minutes or so because he knew I wanted sun and my husband wanted shade. It was so lovely to have an exclusive environment at the Casa Maat but also have access to the full amenities of the expansive JW Marriott on property. We will definitely be back!

The epitome of luxury, this trip was truly flawless from the moment we arrived until the minute we left.

Upon arrival, our butler, Jesus, gave us a brief tour of the property and showed us our room, which featured a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a bottle of tequila. Jesus was immediately proactive, sending us all relevant digital documents (the map, menus, and activity schedules).

We spent the majority of our days by the pool, where Zitali and Adrian delivered a level of service I have truly never encountered before. Their attentiveness was seamless and highly professional. They were consistently anticipating our needs, checking in discreetly, and offering delightful snacks and refreshing drinks.

Our mornings began in the spa facilities, taking full advantage of the cold plunge, followed by the steam and sauna. While we explored the local culinary scene for some meals, the dining on-site was superb. The daily breakfast spread was an outstanding start to each day and the dinner at Café des Artistes was an unforgettable experience.

This trip truly exceeded all expectations. A massive thank you to the exceptional team, especially Jesus, Zitali, and Adrian, who defined what luxury service truly means.

Casa Maat at JW Marriott is an outstanding resort. Impeccable service including a butler staff that attends to your every need, including bookings, transportation arrangements, and logistics so you can enjoy your vacation. Poolside staff waited on us hand and foot- setting up chaise lounges with towels, buckets of ice water and beer on arrival, adjusting shade umbrellas as needed for the sun. Poolside beer, wine, and sangria are all included and staff provided outstanding snacks all day without request- fresh guacamole, sandwiches, fresh ceviche. Breakfast is provided at no additional cost and is very high quality. We had some great omelettes, French toast and other staples as well as local food specialties. My wife and I each had two massages in the gorgeous spa facility and they were the best we’ve experienced in years. The spa amenities both inside and outside are clean and well maintained. Apart from the great service, the full ocean view room and patio overlooking the infinity pool and the Sea of Cortez was amazing. Housekeeping staff are commended for outstanding daily room upkeep and nightly turn down service. We travel a lot and this is one of the very best resorts we have ever visited.

We recently came back from celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary at Casa Maat. We have stayed at this property prior and had a wonderful experience the first time so decided on choosing Casa Maat again for our anniversary trip.
This trip was a 10/10! It is Cabo’s best kept secret (you’re welcome). The staff, the accommodations, the food, and the grounds are all perfection. We have a very busy day to day life and Casa Maat is the perfect place to disconnect and relax and take in the ocean in the most peaceful and relaxing setting. It is attached to the JW however Casa Maat is exclusive to only guests staying there more (more higher end boutique property). Casa Maat guests can freely use the JW amenities and restaurants if needed.
Staff:
Every single detail is handled with a dedicated butler team and service around the clock. Any need, request is met immediately and with the friendliest and most caring staff. This is not our first rodeo. We have stayed at resorts all around the world and have never encountered a service so unique, precise, and highly skilled. Not only is the staff there for needs but they also check in to see if they can do more.
Gustavo- the most helpful, honest, knowledgeable, and professional manager we have ever met. For example, my husband is an ambassador elite with Marriott. Upon arrival they had already upgraded our ocean view room to an ocean view corner suite without us even inquiring (larger suite and wrap around balcony) We had noticed that our new upgraded suite was warm and not cooling properly (which didn’t worry us at all since we had booked an oceanfront cabana anyway) When it was determined that the engineers weren’t able to rectify the cooling issue quickly, Gustavo personally met us over at the pool to share his apologies and offer us a better option for accommodations. He offered to pack our things and move us to the presidential suite. We sincerely thanked him, and seamlessly moved our things over to our new suite which was absolute perfection!

Our next trip is already booked here and Casa Maat has quickly become our new family favorite! Cabo is beautiful with many fantastic properties but if you want an exceptional experience stay here!

The property is gorgeous. If you are looking for a peaceful property away from the craziness of Cabo San Lucas this is it. Quiet and beautiful but also only 15 minute Uber into town.

All the rooms have a view of the Sea of Cortez and you can fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing. The service was excellent, especially butlers Jesus, Ricardo and Abraham. And I loved our breakfast waitress Anihil (sorry if I misspelled it). I had a wonderful massage from Jorge. And the spa also has lovely saunas, pools and a cold plunge.

Everything was IMMACULATELY clean and tidy. I can’t say enough about our time here and I absolutely recommend it to anyone! Thank you to all the staff for being so warm, friendly and helpful!

Our family of four, traveling with children, had an unforgettable stay at this JW Marriott property. The hotel offered a semi all-inclusive service, with breakfast and dinner beautifully prepared and served, and lighter options such as chips and sandwiches available at lunch. The food was delicious, and every meal felt thoughtful and well-prepared.

The atmosphere was very private, allowing us to truly relax and unwind. The butler service was exceptional—polite, attentive, and always ready to assist—which made our stay even more comfortable. All of the staff were genuinely friendly, and the housekeeping was flawless, keeping everything spotless and welcoming.

The trip was fab. Jesus (our butler) was extremely attentive, surprising us with food and drinks to celebrate our anniversary, making reservations, and overall assisting us- couldn’t ask for better. The hotel and food were great as well. Would def recommend and will go back.

AMAZING staff! It was nice to go on vacation and it really feel like vacation. Theres no place that you would walk and weren’t greeted with a smile or brief conversation. The onsite food and amenities are amazing. Would recommend Casa Maat at the JW Marriott to anyone wanting real relaxation.
