A Complete Surprise
Pros:

Was such a lovely to have not only a kitchen, but also laundry facilities. Never experienced that before. Next level was also having Nespresso coffee! Was expecting a pleasant stay, but this was totally out of the blue.

Good, but No Heating Wasn't Pleasant

The room and the hotel in general are excellent and that's why it's our preferred hotel when we come to Canberra.

Cons:

Stayed here a few times before Punt hill took over. It's a great hotel, but this time we experienced a lack of warmth as the air conditioning system was not offering heat. The air conditioners in the roof had been exposed and I presumed there was something going on with their air conditioning. We got home late and the room was freezing and this is when I discovered no heat. I went to reception next day asked was there anything wrong with the air con since I notice the ceiling is removed and exposing the main units in the hallway. I was advised that yes there was on ongoing fault they were trying to fix. I was disappointed that they knew and booked me into a room with no warmth!!! I was offered a couple of plug-in heaters thankfully, but I feel like I might not stay again as another desk clerk told me this had been happening before the take-over. I got 10% back in travel credits through Booking.com

Fairly good
Pros:

The hotel was very accommodating with our needs to be in a ground floor room as I travelled with someone with a disability

Cons:

In one of our rooms, we saw cockroaches; there were holes in the roof throughout the corridors; and non disabled people kept parking in the disability parking (right near the ramp) which meant we had to walk a bit to get back in the hotel

Cons:

Room wasn't clean,shower not clean could see mould around the top wall. Lounge chair is not comfortable. The staff could be more inviting and we stayed for 3 night no serviced at all. No coffee, no new towel. Not enough cutlery and crockery essential. Not happy
