Staff were so lovely - just very nice people!

Charming and rustic boutique hotel with a nice restaurant serving a great selection of traditional British and local meals. Staff were fantastic, especially Cyril. Situated in quiet location but still close to beaches and other attractions. Views of the river and seeing monkeys in the trees nearby a bonus.

Für einen ruhigen und erholsamen Urlaub bestens zu empfehlen. Das Hotel ist super und bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Pool, Anlage, Restaurant und Zimmer- alles sauber und ordentlich
Speisen und Getränke sind top.
Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis ist voll ok.

Well we have just arrived home after staying at this fantastic hotel for 3 weeks,dale and his staff were amazing very attentive they really couldn't do enough for you,the rooms were clean and had everything you need and were cleaned every day,the food was so good we never ate anywhere else,the pool area is clean and look after every day,it's a 10 minute tuk ride from the beach area set in a peaceful area at the side of a lake perfect for bird watchers,special mention to Cyril the head waiter lovely man looked after all our needs,this hotel is a must,we have already booked for next year 👍👍

We had an amazing stay at the asian jewel hotel. The staff were so attentive, we also had dinner there, which was great value for money as well as delicious.
You have beautiful views over the lake, with lots of bird species, very peaceful.
The pool was nice in the evening.
Staff where very welcoming, and because it was away from busy beach area, it was very peaceful here.
Only bad points were beds are a little hard, and towels toiletries could do with updating.
But would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was also lovely, with lots of choices.

The Asian Jewell is the perfect place for a chilled holiday ..Lovely staff who couldn't do more to make us welcome, Fantastic food, right near everything including an amazing beach, shops and bars. They can organise drivers for airport pick ups and tailor made trips. We can't wait to go back there.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was delicious. Very relaxing vibe. Spotted lots of birds without moving from our balcony. Although in peaceful location, easy to get tuk tuk to busier resort area.

The pool was lovely for the kids. It was set back from the hustle and bustle. The service was fantastic. They were able to sort out our laundry and the food was delicious.

I absolutely loved our experience at Asian Jewel.Best food by far we ate in Sri Lanka. There curry is famous & locals come from Colombo just for that!!!That's saying something as a recommendation. We ate both European & Sri Lankan food. Both was wonderful & beautifully presented. Taste was delicious in everything we ate. Staff are friendly & very professional, nothing too much trouble & discreet. Cold beverages were ice cold. Oooh the ambiance in lush tropical gardens with kingfishers & other exotic birds. I highly recommend & it's not expensive. Reasonable prices. Nothing not to enjoy. Ate there several times & booked to go again.

Charming secluded little place surrounded by lush gardens with lovely pool area, friendly helpful staff and great food. Just a short walk/bus to town so definitely worth being out near the lake and the tranquility. Very comfy rooms with lake outlook & bar fridge.

The Owner Del, and his staff, went above and beyond my expectations in making sure my stay was exceptional. Nothing was a chore but a pleasure to help and welcome me into the Asian Jewel Boutique Hotel. Thanks go to all, for making me feel part of the Sri Lankan experience. I will most definitely stay here in the future.

This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star for location, friendliness of staff, food and hospitality. The menu had a large range in choice from Asian and Indian curries to pastas and even English pub specials plenty to suit everyone. Our room was very spacious with a large wet room and bath, a large balcony with an uninterrupted view of the lagoon. A well looked after pool with comfortable sun beds enables you to enjoy the peace and tranquility this hotel offers. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure your stay was enjoyable. The owner was more than helpful with suggestions on the best excursions and will happily arrange and book for you. The beach is less than a 10 minute Tuk Tuk ride away and cost 500 SLR . The abundance of wildlife observed from your balcony and surrounding area is amazing. It's totally worth the stay if you don't fancy the hustle and bustle at the beach front 24/7.
