Kelly’s Residency

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at the residence (it is like a family home) for their hospitality. Last time I stayed in Patong was at a large hotel and it was cold and all business. At Kelly’s Residence the staff would literally cater to your needs whether it be an early breakfast or a late room clean. If you like all glitz and glam and everything shiny then maybe Kelly’s isn’t for you but if you like the authentic Thai feel with a family touch then Kelly’s is the ideal place. ขอขอบคุณ

We stayed here as a family of 4 for 7 days.

Rooms & Service: The rooms are clean and large, with a great view of the ocean and cleaned every day. The staff is excellent always with a pleasant smile. We met Raj on the penultimate day of our stay and he was warm and helpful.

Breakfast: There is a good american breakfast every morning by the pool side and for a couple of days they gave us packed boxes to take away. We did get a little bored after 5 days since the breakfast was the same. Our little one did get corn flakes, so that was a good change for him.

Location: This is a 5 min walk from the Bazaan food market, where you can get more of your essentials. The beach is a good 15 min walk and if you are solo or a couple it works okay, but for us as a family with kids it was a tough. However, we were doing day trips most of the time, so this did not effect us much.

WIFI: Strong wifi, but on the 4th floor there was instances where we had some connectivity issues sometimes. Not a great problem though.

Overall, a great stay and would come back again.

We stayed as a couple in a Pool View Room at Kelly's Residency for a week in late October. The room was a good size and very clean with all the facilities we required and a very good shower. The location was perfect for us as it was a short 10 minute or so walk to the Banzaan Food Market, Jungceylon and Bangla Road and about 15 a 15 minute walk from Patong Beach. This meant that the hotel was quiet at night which was perfect for getting a good nights sleep. The staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to help (even posting our swimming costumes to our next accommodation in Chiang Mai when we inadvertently left them on the balcony area when checking out). We will certainly be returning when next in Phuket

Was nice having an aussie to help with places to go. Unfortunately there were problems with the water, but he was right on the ball and got things going asap. The rooms were wonderful. We had the penthouse ones. The little bar downstairs. Very friendly host and if it is your first time, he really makes it special for you. We were a party of 6. We travelled in October 2012.

Had a brilliant five days here. I would like to commend, Tarn, for her exceptional customer service. She's incredibly helpful, and goes above and beyond to cater to the guests of the hotel. Not forgetting the hospitable nature of the owner, who makes it a point to check in with guests from time to time. 

Location wise, it takes about 10 minutes to walk down to Banzaan Food Market/Jungceylon Mall/Bangla Road/Karon Beach. Along the way, there are many affordable shops and eateries, perfect for those who're looking to escape the crowd. A convenience store is also located less than a minute away from the hotel.

We were also served with a sumptuous breakfast daily. Room and toilet was cleaned daily. No issues with the TV and the abundance of available channels!!

Will definitely come back here if I'm ever in Phuket, again. 

Summarize with one sentence:felt like home! It was totally an home away from home us. They have amazing staff super friendly, everyone was perfect but Raida was our rock star! We would like to thank from here also. They meet us everytime with their sincere smiley faces and were there whenever we wanted.They served delicious fresh breakfast every monrning. We stayed at the poolside room, it has its privacy and felt like our own pool just open the door and jump in it. The room was super clean and cleaned everyday. The locations was not far away Patong Beach just 10 min walk. And Raj l, the owner of the hotel, he could not be more interested in every detail, every guest. We enjoyed evening talks with you soo much! It was our 6th hotel in Thailand and definitely is the best so far. It was like a boutique 5 star hotel. Don't look for any other just pick Kelly's Residence! Thank you guys it was a pleasure to stay at your hotel and great to know you, see you next time!;)

The staff were very friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The nice lady was very accommodating our request to stay an extra 2 days in the same room. The pool was a savior for the summer heat and which was well maintained on a regular basis. The A/C worked like a charm, shower has good pressure, complimentary bottled of water each day, room spacious and nice with safety box and nice balcony view of the city and ocean above Patong Beach. Hotel seconds away from restaurants with minutes away from market food, market shopping, shopping mall (tourist trap no locals shop there too expensive) and 10 minute walk to beach. Bike rentals across the street just tell them where your staying for a deal.

From check in to check out nothing was too much for the Kelly staff, always helpful and nothing is too much for them - arrive early and room was not ready but was given a room to relax/freshen up after a long flight - until my room was ready. Raj the manager has wide knowledge that he is always will to share about which places to visit/buy from etc.

Awesome staff

We were five nights in Kelly's Residency. I think it was the best of Phuket. View were great on balcony. Stuff was great, especially the owner. I was feeling like they taking care about us. I had a minor accident and they were very helpful. I can't say anything bad about this place. Thank you!

We found this place by accident. We were following google maps on foot in search of a place to stay when we stopped to catch our breath right in front of a what looked liked a hotel way above our budget. But thirst and exhaustion led us inside this hidden gem in Patong.
The hotel was clean and inviting. We were served cool drinks immediately. We got the room facing the pool and enjoyed the tranquility of it a great deal. Raj, the owner, was very personable and informative. We had long interesting conversations. It felt like we were staying at a friend’s home. If we’re ever back in Phuket, we’ll definitely stay there again.

The room was okay, told it was an upgrade, it was the room we had booked. The check in took 10 minutes but that was because they were getting cold towels and an orange juice for us.

We stayed another night and were asked for immediate payment , that was slightly irritating as we weren't going anywhere.

Overall the experince was a pleasant one and there was not much to complain about nor much to rave about

Aardig personeel maar pal naast hotel wordt een groot hotel gebouwd. De hele dag door dreunen van geboor in de rotswand. Zelf een keer tot ca. 23.30. Bouwwerkzaamheden zullen zeker heel 2018 nog wel aanhouden. Ondanks korting waren wij erg teleurgesteld. Dat geldt overigens voor heel Patong dat een giga kermis is.

The hotel was reasonable value for money and the room was nice, though there were a few other things that didn't go so well. The driver that the hotel had arranged to pick us up from the airport did not appear, but the hotel staff demanded that we pay the fee the following day (as it turned out, he had appeared, though an hour and a half earlier than advised!). The hotel was also much further from the beach than we expected, and although we don't mind a bit of a walk (family with two small kids), we were able to find hotels of better quality much closer for close to the same price we were being charged. We also had huge problems getting a baby cot for our 10 month old. We requested this via Priceline but received no reply, and the hotel claimed to have no record of the request. They also told us that they had no cot, but one of the staff members opened up a cupboard the following day and found one! It's a good hotel if you don't mind a good walk to the beach, but if you have special needs, make sure you contact the hotel direct. The hotel manager was excellent, and ultimately very helpful.

I can't believe people reviewed this place as 'tranquil'. All the rooms face a very busy road with a constant stream of loud motorcycles zooming by, day and night. Paper thin glass means you get to hear this from your room.

The rooms are clean, and the staff couldn't be nicer. Shame about the terrible location. Not a relaxing place to be at all.

Got back from a day out at 5:30 and room had not been cleaned.

This is a lovely hotel with a amazing feeling of calmness and tranquility from the hustle bustle of Phuket. Close to all the action of Phuket yet peaceful in its own unique way. The rooms, the beds, the whole ambience gives you a feeling of being in paradise. Raj, the owner makes sure every guests needs are catered too, including finding the time to enjoy a glass of drink with the guests. Thank you for making our stay amazing.

It's a lovely hotel, great position, only a short walk to all the action on bangla, but distant enough to have a little peace and quiet whilst chilling in the pool or on your balcony.
Raj, the manager is a true gentleman. And his staff are all really nice and very helpful.
I would highly recommend this place.

I'm very picky and always want to get the service my money worth, this 3 🌟 is obviously low rated, affordable during high season, carrying , friendly n' very good advisors manager & Stuff.

Dico and atmosphere are nice local Thai culture customized , quite fancy pool and luxurious trees around , plus a couple of comfortable bars offering even non alcoholic cocktails.

I Advise you the Direct access to pool rooms, pool view balcony rooms will make your trip adorable to.

Highly recommend to ask for the stuff advice , even if you pay extra , you'll never be disappointed ( we got best service for Phi Phi island tour and airport shuttle , ... )

Don't miss American open buffet package , whether at the skyline bar or pool table , a delicate feast ( check picture ) .

Very quite n' relaxing if you're in honey moon, good located 10 minutes walking from Patong beach n' Bangala Street.

Daily house keeping and fresh towels and toiletries .

I went with my cousin and made a booking mistake, Manager have been so flexible and changed room without extra charges once available.

I missed them already before checking out .

What's Negative : AC seems broken but staff has been always responsive and trying to fix it.

PS: I am Muslim globetrotter and have been very well treated like no other , we've met a friendly Jew , we had fun definitely.

I really don't want to write this review because I want to keep this place a secret to myself.
I've stayed in 5 different hotels in Patong and this was by far my favourite and will definitely stay at this place only from now on.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I recommend a pool access room!
The hotel is far enough back from the hustle and bustle of Bangla Road but easily within walking distance to the party areas or try some of the restaurants along Nanai Road. There is a Family Mart and a taxi service at the front door for those who feel a little lazy (or just too relaxed).
It is nice and quiet. Pool and area is great to hang out for a swim or to just catch some sun on a lounge.
Breakfast was served nice and fresh each day and filled us up!
But the biggest draw card to this place though has to be the staff! They are amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of them all. They saw to our every need and so much more.
If you are lucky enough, you may wish to try the new executive suite on the top floor with magnificent views of the sunset, your own bar and the ability to entertain some guests. I will be trying that out myself next time.
