The swimming pool and hot tub were great to use. The morning complimentary breakfast was plentiful and tasty with a good variety. It was close to our son’s home

**⭐☆☆☆☆ An Absolute Masterclass in Incompetence and Theft**
Do not stay here. Just don't. My experience at this Homewood Suites was so profoundly inept and infuriating it feels like a scam.
Upon checking in, they swiped my card for the $229.31 hold. My phone lit up with an "APPROVED" notification, and the money was immediately deducted from my Chase account. Clear as day. Then, with a straight face, the desk clerk tells me *they* didn't receive the payment.
So there I am, a Diamond member and out-of-town traveler, stranded in their lobby while they blame my bank. I call Chase right in front of them. Surprise, surprise—Chase confirms the payment was processed and the money is GONE from my account.
Their brilliant solution? "We're gonna need another card." I explain this is my ONLY card. I've used it for years without a single issue. I tell them that running it again for the same massive amount will likely trigger a fraud alert and lock my card, leaving me completely stranded. But they don't care. They already have my money!
I had to stand there and beg for the room I had already technically paid for. The response? A robotic, "Sorry, there's nothing I can do. You'll have to dispute it with your bank."
So let me be perfectly clear: **Homewood Suites took $230 from my account, refused to give me a room, and told me to sort out their accounting error with my bank.** They essentially stole the money I had set aside for my stay. The level of incompetence is staggering. They have zero ability to problem-solve and even less concern for their customers.
Save yourself the migraine and the fraudulent charges. Stay anywhere else.
Friendly staff and comfortable clean rooms! Work out areas and pool were excellent!
Hot tub was nice. It was never crowded. A lot of amenities we didn’t use but nice to know they were there, like the laundry and the exercise facility. Great location for us. Excellent restaurant practically at the front door.
The swimming pool was too cold for us to enjoy.
Upon arrival, I was told hotels.com overbooked and they didn't have the rooms I reserved. The lady at the front desk was very insensitive, short and defensive. I had 3, two bedroom suites reserved for a team bonding experience. My room were booked 6 weeks in advance. When I asked why I was receiving email confirmations from they, she said that it wasn't really them sending those emails, that it was the 3rd party, hotels.com with their name on it. I was offered separate rooms instead of my 2 bedroom suites and the sofa couch was going to be counted as a bed, for the same price! It took 45 minutes of trying to resolve the situation. I did not get much sleep after this experience!
Could not stay. I booked a handicap room. This room wasent had to find another hotel and the courtyard was closed off. Very disappointed
Called ahead on a road trip to ensure that we would have a pool for the two or three hours we had for hangout time that night while we were passing through. when we got there, the pool was closed. The lady at night said she’d comp us enough points to refund our stay. She didn’t then the dayshift manager copped an attitude about how that was absurd then she told me she couldn’t put in the points, she was gonna give us for hours because she was too busy would have appreciated them to keep their word. The breakfast was good! Night shift lady was very nice.

Clean room, easy to navigate. All in all it was a good place to stay and the staff was great. The room are amazing and very spacious. The entire area was nice

I would not recommend the hotel. For the price considering the prices of other local hotels your money is not well spent here. All public bathrooms were consistently out of toilet paper and my father found human feces just lying on the floor . The rooms were dirty. We had five people staying here 4 towels after the second day of being here and no housekeeping . I called and asked for more towels was told I could come get them. They also gave us blankets to make our own bed upon arrival dirty dishes in the dishwasher leaking toilet. I work very hard in a customer service job I do not enjoy every job I have to do but I do it because it’s my job might be some food for thought for some employees here. If this sounds like nitpicking, this hotel was not busy zero people in the lobby zero people in the courtyard zero people anywhere no toilet paper, no towels and a hot mess
Room needed maintenance. Lightbulb missing from lamp. Kitchen faucet loose in countertop. Ice maker in refrigerator didn’t work. Tv didn’t work initially. Phone didn’t work. Pillows flat and uncomfortable. Room bar ours smelled of gasoline..reported to management
We booked this hotel as intermediate stop between Chicago and Dearborn.
When we arrived Hilton reservation system was down. However, we were upgraded to a huge suite with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Later, we wanted to drink beer but they had none at the small reception shop. But the very nice lady at the reception organized three warm leftover beers from the office and ice.
We forgot an item in the room which was found by the room service after we left. We could pick it up on our way back. Great service!
