Top Notch Luxury Hotel In Vishakhapatnam
Pros:

Luxury property in a prime location, hardly couple of hundred yards from Ramakrishna Beach. The Kali Temple, Submarine Museum, Aquarium etc are all a short walk away. Offers all the services/amenities you would expect from an ITC-Welcomgroup property. Wanted a relaxing, comfortable break in Vizag with my wife and the property was perfect for that. Extensive buffet spread for breakfast, good service, prompt, attentive staff, luxurious room with a sea view, good in house restaurants.....ticks all the boxes.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike at all. (Well, maybe they could add a cheese and cold cuts selection in the buffet spread. Its a standard part of the breakfast buffet in most good hotels, so was a bit surprised that they didn't offer it).

Pros:

The location was good.

Cons:

The room was really dissapointing. There was no ventilation, no cleanliness and the room was very damp al thorough the stay. There was a mix up out breakfast booking and then the staff did not accommodate breakfast into out booking. There was construction going on in many parts of the hotel and there was no prior information on this, it was inconvenient to even walk around

Pros:

1. Food at Dakshin was good. And the staff at Dakshin was friendly. 2. During the check-in, they were able to shift us to a sea facing room.

Cons:

• Staff responsiveness and overall service: The staff did not appear customer-friendly. Most interactions felt curt, and there was a general sense of grumpiness rather than warmth or hospitality. Given that the property is slightly away from the beach, exemplary customer service is the hotel's best bet. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
• Restaurant access on New Year’s Eve: We were informed only on New Year’s Eve that we would not be able to dine at the in-house restaurants as they were fully booked. There was no prior intimation to residents, which was disappointing and inconvenient. They called us later after we complained but by that time, we had already made our plans.
• Check-in experience: The check-in process took close to an hour, which is unusually long and set a poor tone for the stay.
• Breakfast quality: The breakfast was very average and below expectations for an ITC property. For instance, the pooris were extremely hard and brittle rather than soft and freshly prepared. The filter coffee and cappuccino were both quite poor.
• Room size and storage: The rooms are quite small with very limited cupboard/storage space, which makes longer or even moderate stays uncomfortable.
• Common areas and overall upkeep: The foyer and some common spaces appear run-down (old carpets) and in need of refurbishment.
We hope this feedback is taken constructively and helps in addressing these gaps.
