Barcelona wine bar and location was great
The shower in my room didn’t work…. I ended up just getting in my car in the morning but it was definitely a disappointment
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, convenient location.
The newly added breakfast bar is nice, but it could use more selections (fruit, more variety of bagels and muffins, eggs). The facility should put fans in the bathrooms so the alarms don't go off after hot showers.
This was not worth $200 and I will never be staying here again. Terrible check-in experience. I have a long commute so booked here to save myself some driving time. The automated messages were extremely unclear. Hours for the main lines were not posted. I was on hold on the main line for over half an hour before I tried the “after hours” line. On hold for another 10 minutes before I got in touch with someone. They claimed to have sent me a link to check in, I never received it. Over that waiting period I found the original “check in” message, which looked exactly like the “please give us your contact info” message, and filled it out. Another twenty minutes or so, I call back, on hold for 10, i get through to the same guy. He verifies I have submitted my information and says “No worries we’ll get you into a room here shortly”. I get a text saying they’ll let me know when my room is ready (???). Twenty ish minutes later I call AGAIN to follow up and after a couple minutes of quiet work he says “Okay! You’re good to go, you should be receiving your confirmation now :)”
I got to the hotel at 7:20 and didnt get into my room until 9:20. I should have just driven home and saved myself the money, but I was already there and I was still holding out for the continental breakfast. I was deeply disappointed that breakfast was a small display of muffins and bagels alongside a Keurig machine.

There was a fire alarm that went off, and the contactless piece left questions about what was happening. I was able to call and figure it out, but it was a bit confusing trying to figure out how this issue would be solved.
I received the messages to complete my registration, but didn't realize that it needed to happen to get my room number and room access, so I did that right as I arrived at the property, but the information wasn't provided immediately.
I'm still recovering from a disastrous stay at the Hi Ho. I spontaneously booked 1 night for me and my kids to escape from the unseasonable heat (90+ degrees in May). When we walked into the room I was struck by how outdated and threadbare it was. Rips in the carpet. The mattresses are smaller than the oversized bedframes which stick out in a way that makes them easy to painfully bump into. Picture on the wall was askew. The provided bottle of conditioner fell off the shower wall as soon as my son touched it. I tried to ignore how neglected the rooom felt since it provided the needed AC. At 4am my kids and I were awoken by the fire alarm (no idea how it was set off). No staff work there so I had to call a remote desk to call the fire dept who were not able to turn off the alarm for 30 mins. By that point we were all wide awake and the kids were crying so I packed them up at 4:30am and drove us home. Stunned they didnt offer even a partial refund. Yes a fire alarm is designed to keep us safe but a) there wasnt a fire and b) if staff was onsite the situation could have been resolved more quickly. We'll never return. Love the iconic sign but thats all this dump has to offer.
