B&B HOTEL Calais Coquelles Tunnel sous la Manche

A no frills hotel that is ideal for an overnight stay. Clean , comfortable and quiet. Good location in Calais for restaurants and shopping. A microwave and coffee machine available in reception

Warm welcome by a very friendly and helpful person on reception. Room was clean and had everything required for an overnight stay. The hotel is within walking distance to a large shopping area and several different types of restaurants It’s also just a few minutes drive to Le Shuttle terminal

The room wasn’t in very good condition. It needs a lot of work. The price is too high for what you get but when you want 1 room for three people, you don’t have many options.

It was easy to check in and everything worked well. The general cleanliness was okay, I think it looked worse because the room was very run down. The room looks onto the open hallway and unfortunately a group of people spend the evening smoking outside and it drifted into the room even with the windows closed…which made the room very hot and smelly! The breakfast was ok. The person there in the morning was very friendly. It was all bearable for one night but I don’t think I would go back.

Modest room but adequate

Due to our vehicle breaking down we needed a place to stay while the vehicle was fixed. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful, helping us source a garage, making us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time. We found that local buses are free, so we still had opportunities to explore the area, though we loved the walking too. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice staff, quiet area.

Check in was challenging as we were not given the right code upon booking, it was also very automated no staff at all around so anyone above a certain age will have a difficult time trying to check in. Rooms are very small but clean. I would think twice before booking again.

Cheap

Turned up and automatic check in code wouldn't work. It was 3am in the morning. No one to ring so couldn't get into hotel.

Ideal location for using Le Shuttle. Good value, comfortable room.

Last minute stay . But it was easy to book , friendly staff, nice clean room , no problem that I had 2 small dogs , the price for them to stay was very reasonable, the breakfast in the morning was very good , everything fresh and plenty, great selection of food
The only thing that was a bit cumbersome , the hotel had no lift up to the rooms , and as someone with walking problems, it was a bit of an inconvenience.

Felt really safe...Police attendance (guests) was an added bonus, as was having Car parked close to room. As we have had potential trouble in area before with refugees trying to get in our vehicle.
Felt doubly safe with secure compound.

No check in code sent and arrived late so couldn't check in on machine. All family stood outside in cold trying to get a code. Had to call up to get sorted in the end

The bathroom had been up- dated, which was nice. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Receptionist,he was fantastic!. The only downside was the bed. The mattress was ok,however the the base was a nightmare, every time you moved it creaked. It really does need sorted as a good night sleep is important when traveling. Hopefully, when we book in April this would be sorted (008). Definitely well worth the money for everything apart from sleep
