Resting place en route home after a week camping. Was excellent. Mattress firm, sheets clean, very low traffic noise yet close to motorway. Food awesome. Professional staff, room lovely.

We had a wonderful stay over in this fabulous pub. The food was exceptional and the rooms large, comfy and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn’t have done more to make our stay memorable. Everything was great. The location, premises, staff, rooms and food. There's even a large car park. I also enjoyed chatting with some of the locals whilst watching the football. We've been stopping off at various hotels over the years on our way to Goodwood and if I'd have found this place 10 years ago then this would be my 10th visit, The best place we have stayed and I'm looking forward to next year. Just hope we can get in. The rooms were very clean and had everything you would need including a fan.
Being very picky, the only thing I can think of was the pillows were a bit too soft for my liking.

The only (minor) downside was during the very hot weather, the rooms were very warm.
Great location, value for money, excellent staff (very friendly and helpful).
Comfort would be greatly improved with aircon or cooling in the room. We had a fan, but still overwhelmingly warm! Saying that, it wouldn't stop us staying again.
