Pros:

Location was excellent, breakfast was good.

Cons:

Going up and down the stairs a couple of times a day. We were on the second floor, so four flights of steps! No lift, not good on my knees.

Great location, small but comfortable room, lovely terrace overlooking the river

Cons:

Soulless restaurant and having to pay for a cappuccino at breakfast!

Bountiful boutique accommodation
Pros:

Couldn’t recommend this little boutique hotel enough! The staff are absolutely lovely, the rooms are beautiful, and you walk right out in the middle of the town centre. We also had dinner here and the food was amazing!!!!

Cons:

Our room didn’t have aircon but it was okay - we had a nice breeze come in through the windows :)

Glorious!
Pros:

We were there for a wedding, the two main staff members who looked after us (sorry their names escape me) were utterly fantastic, really, I can't praise them highly enough. We travel a lot for work and stay in all kinds of hotels and eat in all kinds of restaurants, and this type of service is lacking in so many places. It was a pleasant surprise and very much noted. The food was great, location stunning and everywhere spotlessly clean. The room was lovely, it was very well equipped with plenty of good sized towels, a lovely bath, plenty of coat hooks (again a small touch that is so often missing!) We loved it. We were the only wedding guests who actually live in Cornwall, so it's unlikely we'll stay again, but we will definitely bring friends for food and very definitely recommend it. Thank you.

Cons:

It really was perfect, but a very tiny thing.... I had to move the beside cabinet to plug in the kettle which wasn't ideal.

Pros:

A really lovely stay at a clean, comfortable, peaceful and friendly hotel. The staff were all very helpful, the breakfasts were lovely. It was great being right by the water with wonderful views and nice to have the town on your doorstep. Not only did we enjoy it but our dog loved it as well

Friendly, fun, cosy and great location
Pros:

Before writing this review, I did read a few previous reviews, and a couple made me grimace – notably the ones complaining about the seagulls. Complaining about seagulls on the coast would be like complaining about getting wet when swimming in the sea! I’m sorry but if you are going to complain about Mother Nature doing her thing…
Anyway, whilst I did enjoy the atmospheric cry of the seagulls, it was the very warm welcome that made this a special trip. From Sue on reception, Roxanne serving breakfast and the wonderful front of house, Amy, I was made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Although I only enjoyed breakfast as I had made other dinner arrangements, breakfast was delicious and I will be back for dinner as the menu looked delicious.
In short, very happy to recommend and I love the dog friendly nature of the bar, restaurant and cosy rooms.
I look forward to returning soon.
Thank you Amy and team.

Lovely place, smart boutique style hotel with friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

Location excellent, staff friendly and welcoming

Cons:

Absence of lift to access upper floors. Not too much of a problem although carrying luggage upstairs was a good workout.

Would definitely come again
Pros:

The food and accommodation was great. Male staff went above and beyond. I think he was South African. One night we was late getting in and the kitchen was shutting. He managed to persuade the chef to do us a big bowl of mussels which was amazing!! Very polite on arrival and couldn’t have done more for us.

Cons:

Young waitress at breakfast both days qas miserable. Breakfast come out, had to ask for toast, and sauce on both days, she wasn’t very happy when asked for the above. Nothing is open on a Sunday. I did kind of think some shops may be open Sunday hours but nothing.
