Absolutely fantastic location, right on the river. Our room was recently renovated and super plush. It was spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. We had a river view and it was worth paying extra for it as it was stunning. It was a real drag to leave the place. Breakfast was delicious and worth adding on to our stay. I would 100% book the same room again.
As it’s attached to a restaurant and the reception wasn’t always open it wasn’t clear who to talk to with questions etc. There were a lot of different staff working during our stay and no one greeted us as we came and went so we didn’t really make a connection with the place. Breakfast was delicious but not consistent - make sure you ask for toast and OJ if you’re not offered any.
Very comfortable room, great location, food was good and staff friendly
Bathroom floor tiles had loose or missing grout
Lovely people, great location, really good accommodation. Will be back
Great location, superb room, food was outstanding. Staff were excellent.
Nothing.
Location and staff are fabulous. Amy on reception was a star!
There was nothing not to like from my experience.
Location is amazing and we upgraded as was a great view
The only negative was we were not told the front door was locked at night. We came back at 11.30 it's was pouring with rain. We tried ringing the bell but no answer and was faulty so started to bang on the door but the night porter was out the back with music on. When he finally heard he seemed quite annoyed we hadn't rung the bell (which we had) until he tried it himself. Other than that an enjoyable stay
Lovely boutique hotel In centre of Fowey on mainstreet and river ar rear. Very welcoming manager. Ground floor mainly comprises recently renovated bar , restaurant and outside terrace overlooking river. Our bedroom on 1st floor was very pleasant and well appointed with tea/ coffee making facilities. The en-suite was equipped with high quality toiletries and dressing gowns. The restaurant was closed in the evening ( it was. Monday off season) but the breakfast was delicious with a wide range of options using excellent local products. Would definitely use again .
The steps to the upper floors are quite steep and may be a problem for those with mobility issues.
Perfectly cooked with a view
As a frequant visitor, the Old Qhay House never fails to please. From the comfortable beds to the delicious food how could it not in its magnificent location.
Nothing
The room was very comfortable and had amazing views. Bathroom spacious and excellent shower
Great location. Super large and comfy bed - room 2.. Spacious room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Marco and the chef went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay.
Room would benefit from a small fridge. There was no blind at one of the windows, making it quite light from a street light.
Everything was perfect - as always. We didn’t want to leave !
Small, friendly hotel, nice and clean, good restaurant serving excellent food and wine. Breakfast was great and served by charming staff. An ideal spot for a romantic break in the spring or autumn. Fowey was a good base from which to explore Cornwall.
The location is perfect and the service excellent.
The hotel was excellent clean . Good breakfast and room
The parking arrangements are not good . Its expensive to park near and a good walk to the nearest affordable car park
It was a really fabulous place to stay, all the staff were really kind friendly, polite and so helpful.
The food was very good value, and very tasty.
Hotel was spotless. The restaurant decor was interesting and was not over the top, and was interesting.
The room was a fantastic surprise, decor
Really tasteful, colours throughout the hotel was nice.
Looking forward to arranging to go back
