Manistee Hotel

Overall we had a great stay we had a king size bed with a jetted tub and sliding glass door to the fenced in area behind the building (for smokers) and we got a late check out too, they had a great breakfast spread their coffee could have been hotter and one of those small coffee machines in the room would have been great I wake up before the breakfast was open plus it was new years eve night to new years morning and the one night stay was only $88 total

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I booked a single king bed room and was placed in a double queen bed room. The curtains were ripped in half and there were stink bugs crawling on the walls.
I informed the front desk over the phone and was brushed off. I went to the front desk to speak to someone in person and was told that the only king rooms were in another building that hadn't been renovated yet. I was told by the person at the front desk that they would "leave a note" for the manager and he would comp me in the morning for the inconvenience. Two days later I am still waiting for that to happen. I called the hotel and was told that they would "leave a note" (again) for the manager to call me back.

The hotel is completely different than the one in the photos. Although it’s clean it’s an old damaged and run down hotel that a new owner purchased and just painted over all the mold and water damage. Highly disappointed that Hotels doesn’t do a better job at reviewing these hotels.

Nice hotel for its price point. Friendly staff. They offered coffee in the lobby, but wish there was a coffee pot in the room. Parking lot and walkways were slick, needed to be salted.

Our stay is always good. The check in was ok. The clerk was very nice, but maybe new? In my online reservation note, I asked for 300 hall. He didn’t see it and tried to put us upstairs. No elevator so I showed him my request and he apologized and fixed it. No problem, but a delay. Not a big deal. Then he put a hold on my credit card. Kinda messed up my shopping ability. After he put the hold on he asked if we have stayed before. We have many times over the years. He said I should have mentioned it and they wouldn’t have needed to hold it. Maybe he should have asked before the hold. That was my only aggravation.

Room was nice. Comfortable. Didn't feel comfortable with my car in parking lot saw a guy walking around my car looking in windows had to go check few times at night

Reviews said hot tub was really clean, they were right! The jets weren't working great but it was hot. Breakfast was decent, place is clean and comfortable.

Room was very spacious and bed was comfy. Great they had a ramp to 2nd floor instead of dealing with stairs.

Not sure why but they did not have rhe Expefia reservation I made earlier in the day. The front desk staff was not prepared to handle this smoothly, and our communication was difficult ... in end I was able to get tje room at the quoted rate, but it took over 45 minutes to resolve this. Also I requested a room to facilitate access/unloading my motorcycle, but was give a room on the second floor and far from parking.

Breakfast only had one pan of sausage. No eggs. Limited bread. No fruits or yogurt. Limited cereal options. Not much of a breakfast.

The breakfast was minimal on everything and out of most. No milk for cereal then next day no milk and no waffle mix. Just one of anything on the rack. Very disappointed

The sink in our room was clogged and we found a cockroach as well

Staff is very friendly and accomodating. We stay here often but this trip there were a few things that were not up to their usual standards. The telephone had most of the buttons missing, the bed skirt was ripped. We get the accessable room with a walk in shower and a hand held shower head. Unfortunately the hand held shower head was missing so my sister was unable to shower herself. We love this hotel regardless! The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are clean! And the staff is amazing!
