House of Love at Pai

While we knew the hotel is located outside of Pai town, we unfortunately had problems when the property did not have mopeds available to rent as advertised, which for a rural property we assumed there would be enough for all guests. This meant walking 45 mins to get into town along a busy road, which is not lit at night.

As for our stay, the room was very clean and spacious and a large, comfortable bed with two pillows each. The host was very friendly and helpful when asked via text. Unfortunately room service was missed twice although requested, and it was a shame there was no one available on site to help. When we checked in, a child came to give the keys, but didn’t speak much English so it was difficult to ask questions.
Dogs barking at night was not ideal, but otherwise a quiet resort.

Amazing, very clean and quiet place. Staff were great and made everything a very relaxed experience. Dogs were also very cute and friendly.

Really great property that is close to the main part of town if you have a motorbike. Excellent for backpackers on a budget that are also looking for a private and intimate space. However it was hard to locate hotel staff at times as the lobby area was pretty much abandoned.

Overall it is ok, the hotel keeper and ladies worked very hard and were very kind. However to be responsible for the hotel and my comment, my opinion is that it is really important for a Hotel to take care of insects control and pets management.
I found there were many ants on the top of the washer when we come back from outside at about 8:30 PM. We checked in at 3 PM and everything was good.
Although I have changed to another room but the room seems not well prepared, some small dust could be found and the shower-head was clogging.
The next morning when I come back from breakfast, the dogs of the hotel were not friendly and I had to call the lady to stop them.

We absolutely loved our stay in House of Love. Breakfast was delicious every time, the peace of the place was palpable. Long walk to the center of town but there’s taxis or you can rent a bike.

Kiki, the owner and her assistant are truly in touch with their guests. We felt very welcome. The food on offer is the most eye pleasing and tasty food I had for a long time. Kiki was worry that the cottage would be too small for a foreigner. I travel with a lot of gears. They are a bit small but with her help, we extended ourselves to the balcony and ended staying very comfortably for over a week. Good beds and well appointed room. I was able to setup my telescope and fly my drone right from our cottage steps. Don’t hesitate to book the cottage if you are traveling as a pair. There is also the larger alternative of the tree house which is very beautiful. Thank you Kiki and her staff. Wishing you a happy and successful 2019.

Execelent hospitality and nice boutique design resort. Relaxing and pleasant garden. Perfect location to explore Pai town and nearby attractions

it was far from main street. so we had to rent bike. without the motorbike, couldn't go anywhere. near the hotel, nothing. even the restorants. If you want just relax and need peaceful atmosphere, It might be good choice. but you want feel the Pai mood, you'd better take another hotel near the center.

Lovely setting and couple of km's out of town. Tip: you'll need a scooter or bike to get anywhere, but the resort provides them (200 baht per day for a scooter).
Rooms were big, modern and very clean.
Grounds were nice and peaceful, although a bit unkept.
Only thing letting this place down is the service: generally very slow and always hard to find anyone (even to check in).

This may be because it was low season, regardless it put a dampener of what was otherwise a perfect stay.

A great location, a short drive from the town. Lots of places of interest nearby. My friend and I spent a great few days here. The best thing about this place is the staff who are very welcoming and friendly and are keen to help you in any way they can. Would definitely stay again!
