Terrible experience , Extremely rude staff and impossible to sleep!
DO NOT STAY HERE. If you are looking for a welcoming environment and a good night's sleep in Key West, avoid the Pegasus International Hotel at all costs. My experience here was absolutely awful, purely due to the unacceptable behavior of the staff.
Here is exactly what happened during my stay:
Impossible to sleep: The noise level in this hotel makes it completely impossible to get any rest. It was loud, disruptive, and ruined my stay.
Awful and rude receptionist: When I went to the front desk to explain the issue and ask for a room change, the woman working at the reception was incredibly rude, lazy, and completely detached. Every single time you ask her a question, she rolls her eyes and makes you feel like you are bothering or disturbing her just by existing. She has zero customer service skills and total disrespect for paying guests.
Lied straight to my face: I specifically asked to switch rooms and explicitly stated that I was willing to pay the price difference for an upgrade just to be able to sleep. She dismissively told me that the hotel was completely full. This was a blatant lie, as I could clearly see with my own eyes that many rooms were completely empty and unoccupied.
The management needs to seriously review who they hire to represent this property. Paying a premium price to be lied to, treated with attitude, and deprived of sleep is unacceptable. Save your money and book somewhere else where guests are actually welcomed.

Very pleasant stay and I have recommended Pegasus to others
Pros:

Love the location , love the rooms, I think they upgraded them from when I was there last year. I will definitely be back next year!

Cons:

The breakfast area could have been kept slightly cleaner but overall the entire building was clean.

Great hotel in Key West
Pros:

We stayed at the Pegasus for a second time and found the staff friendly and professional. The room was spotless. The price was fair. Love the location. We already booked another weekend in October.

Pros:

3 days as guests in mid March. room was exceptionally small as our king bed status left 2 feet walkway on either side. vinyl couch took more floor space allowing 2 feet between couch and bed. we had to squeeze between the bathroom door and side table to get into the bathroom. this was small and uncomfortable, with minimal water pressure in the tap and shower. mid-stay window broke and was repaired with painters tape, allowing significant street noise at night. Hot tub was filthy and continental breakfast was packaged food that you could get from a vending machine. Lots of better hotels on the island, and trolley service can take you to all of the fun places. Our advice: go elsewhere because this hotel is not worth the price!

Bad stay
Pros:

This place was horrible, I have stayed here for at least 5 years straight every year and this time it was just bad. The beds had big dips in them it was filthy, the pool area was very unkept ripped furniture, no towels and just dirty. They switched our room after many complaints, the new room it was even worse. This place has went straight down hill.
