Please note that only the confirmed number of guests are allowed at the property.
- RESERVATION: A 20% nonrefundable deposit is required in advance to guarantee your reservation as a commitment for the full period requested. This deposit will be charged to the credit card on the same day the reservation is made. The remaining balance is due and payable 30 days prior to arrival, and will be automatically charged to the same card on file unless otherwise arranged.
- PRE-CHECK-IN REQUIREMENTS: After booking, a rental agreement and check-in form will be sent to your Booking.com inbox or email (if provided). Both documents must be completed and signed in order to receive check-in instructions. Once submitted, your personalized self check-in code and arrival details will be sent within 48 hours prior to arrival.
Please note: Check-in instructions cannot be released until both forms are submitted.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

The property was charming. The garden area was lovely.
The cottage was charming and clean however there was a very very bad musty smell in the cottage that we stayed in #246. It made for a rough two night sleep as it was nauseating to me and affected my husband’s allergies. The slider door to the bathroom was hard to slide open. We could not get the TV to work. But that was ok. The faucet on the kitchen sink was loose so be careful with that. It would be helpful to put blackout curtains at the window on the wall where the headboard is on as the lights from the parking are shining throw the curtain shears. But most disturbing was the musty smell. But we love La Jolla and will always be coming back but probably not to this charming little place as from outside visuals very charming but this cottage in particular has some issues that need addressing.

服务人员没有及时回复我们，房间密码打不开房间，导致我们在外边冻了几个小时，直到第二天我们才联系到工作人员，虽然是一月二日，新年，但是服务行业正常接待顾客，不就要有值班人员服务！

There were so many charming touches throughout the property. It was spotless as well. The grounds were well maintained with plenty of areas to sit and relax.
The only very minor drawback it that it is a little bit of a distance from any restaurants and mostly requires a car to get around places or be willing to walk around 20 mins to get to your destination which can be difficult for those with mobility issues. Parking in La Jolla can be obnoxious as well.

Great location for access to beach and downtown La Jolla. Easy entry, check in, etc. Quiet and clean. Safe surroundings.
It's pretty tight inside. I would opt for one of the bigger cottages next time, but if you are on a budget, and won't be spending a lot of time in the cottage, it is fine. I personally prefer a bit more air ventilation, which is limited in this unit.
The location is perfect, walkable to the beach, the village and it's shops/restaurants. The gardens are beautiful, the property is very well cared for. The Hemingway cottage is cozy, a little dark despite all the windows. You need the blinds somehow semi shut all the time for some privacy. Decor is a bit old fashioned but it works, kitchen is minimally equipped but we ate out so no issues there. Beds are comfy, extra linens, blankets, etc .. if needed.
The cottage was split in half, first and second floor, which we didn't realize. We had guests above and could hear them walking and talking, coming home at 1:30am... Otherwise, electrical, outliers and plugs are weird, lots of different remotes/switches for lights, dans, etc... No big deal...
The gardens and location were so nice and relaxing.
Cottage is slightly worn, but it is getting a facelift and the decor is so enchanting.

Loved Redwood Hollow Cottages. Perfect location for the beach, dinner, shopping. Loved the charm tge cottages had. It was a 2 bedroom bungalow and it was perfect! Thanks for the hospitality

Tout était vieillot et sentait mauvais. C'était notre première étape après un vol de 12h. La climatisation était en panne, nous avons dû attendre qu'un dépanneur vienne. Il a passé 1h sans pouvoir réparer mais le lendemain, nous avons été dépanné. Le personnel a été très gentil et réactif, et ce sont des choses qui sont indépendantes de leur volonté Cependant la veille de notre départ, nous recevions un message qu'il fallait quitter la location avant 10h sous peine de pénalité !
I love the decor and how conveniently located it is. I appreciate feeling like we have our own little beach bungalow.
