We enjoyed our staying in Alt Montjoie... for sure we will come again and stay there for a long week
Pros:

The location is perfect...
It's a family business and the owner is very nice and helpfull... lots of story about the history of Monschau shared with us...
we are feeling HOME staying in this hotel...
the room is fine, it's simple but enough for few nights and can sleep well, clean and we get all we need easily...
Breakfast is good enough, simple but very nice and completely fulfill our needs... :-)

Cons:

The stairs... but lucky it's not going up to high :-) just 1-3 levels and short stairs...
The room wall it's not fully issolated... so we can hear the voices from other room. we need to talk softly in our room :-)
The cans at the coridor need to be refilled with hot water during the evening time.

Exceeding expectations!
Pros:

Well exceeding my expectations of a “basic” hotel. The room was nice, the bed comfortable and the shower excellent. Great breakfast too. And friendly staff formed the icing on the cake. I’d happily return!

Pros:

Die Lage war wie beschrieben: Sehr zentral, das Zimmer war wie auf den Fotos und entsprechend eingerichtet, das Frühstück war so, dass ich alles vorfand, was mir wichtig war. Es gab zudem Rührei mit oder ohne Schinken, frische Brötchen, vielerlei Belag, auch Tomaten, Gurke.

Friendly, central, cozy and perfect for a nice hike
Pros:

Super friendly owners, very central in Monschau and close to the restaurants and nice hikes. The breakfast was simple but delicious and plenty to fuel a day of hiking. The rooms were very clean, cozy and comfortable. It could be a bit on the warmer side, but the fan is just perfect to cool down your sleep. We’ll definitely be stating here again!
